Artificial Intelligence (Ex) [Drone] - K'Klacklun constructed an Artificial intelligence (or AI), a sophisticated program of self-motivated code that he can access for help in a variety of endeavors. This AI is the product of hisown genius, far more advanced and complicated than any available for sale to consumers (though it falls short of being truly self-aware), and only he knows the secrets of its creation and operation. He has a powerful robotic drone to house his AI, his Battle Utility Golem (B.U.G.). He built and controls the B.U.G., which accompanies him on his adventures and is capable of combat, espionage, and other specialized tasks. As he gains levels, his drone advances in sophistication and gain additional abilities. While the value of his drone is immense, only he can ever hope to operate or repair it.
Custom Rig (Ex) - K'Klacklun has created a customized toolkit he can use to hack systems and items. His custom rig has been configured to be a handheld device, meaning that he must retrieve and hold to use it effectively. While using this rig, he always counts as having the appropriate tool or basic kit for any Computers or Engineering skill check he attempts. In addition, he can use your custom rig as a Mk I comm unit (see Equipment). Finally, if he can use his custom rig to communicate over an encrypted channel with his drone, B.U.G., to issue commands to its AI or directly control it at a range of 2,500 feet.
If his custom rig is damaged, destroyed, lost, or stolen, he can kitbash a new one from any engineering kit, hacking kit, or other technological toolkit, reconfiguring the materials into a new custom rig with 1 hour of work.
Bypass (Ex) - K'Klacklun is skilled at getting inside computer systems and electronic devices. He gains a +1 insight bonus to Computers and Engineering skill checks. At 5th level, every 4 levels thereafter, and at 20th level, this bonus increases.
Energy Shield [Mechanic Trick](Ex) - As a standard action, K'Klacklun can use his custom rig to activate an energy shield around himself. This shield provides him with a number of temporary Hit Points equal to his Intelligence modifier plus his mechanic level. [8 HP} The shield remains active for 2 minutes (1 per mechanic level) or until all of its temporary Hit Points are depleted, whichever comes first. Once used, he cannot use this ability again until he spends 1 Resolve Point to regain Stamina Points after a 10-minute rest; his shield automatically shuts off during this period of rest.
Overload – As a standard action, K’Klacklun can cause a short in an electronic device, including most ranged energy weapons, melee weapons with powered special property, or a single armor upgrade. This makes the device nonfunctional for one round. Overload doesn’t cause a locked door, safe, or other device to open, but it prevents anyone from opening it for 1 round. K’Klacklun must be adjacent to the device to use this ability. As K’Klacklun has a drone, he can instead use this ability on an electronic device adjacent to his drone. If K’Klacklun uses overload on an item or armor upgrade in someone’s possession, the owner can attempt a Reflex saving throw to negate the effect (DC = 10 + half his mechanic level + his Intelligence modifier). Overload doesn’t affect androids, cybernetics, drones, powered armor, robots, or creatures with the technological subtype (all of which have shielding against this sort of attack), or items larger than Medium. Once a device has been successfully overloaded, a residual static charge prevents that device from being overloaded again for 1 minute.
Weapon Specialization] - K'Klacklun adds his character level to damage with basic weapons and one-half his character level to damage with small arms.
Repair Drone - When K'Klacklun spends 10 minutes to repair his drone, he repairs 25% of its Hit Points instead of 10%.
