Don't like Iowa? Lol! My sister lives there. She moved there when we moved to Texas. Don't ya know ya ought to give Iowa a try?
Iowa

All I really know about Iowa is that Slipknot is from there, and it was the name of one of their really good albums.

Crafting a masterwork item can take months. It is not something that can be done in a few days. Hey Virgil has Craft bows. Might take him six months!
Elathras Narcinal
Irenicus
Irenicus used a scroll to comprehend languages that cost 12.5gp to make. Also what. Is our individual shares this time? Want to purchase maybe a new spell or two and make some more scrolls.
brvheart
With Dolgrin out for at least the next several months, do you guys want another player? Another of my home game players is interested in joining a game.
brvheart
I think Gruk figured out shares to be 189 GP each which isn't buying masterwork equipment anyway.
Elathras Narcinal
Irenicus if you need money for scrolls or anything above and beyond the 189 Elathras has cash and no real use for it... he's just out in the yard swinging his new hammer waiting till everyone is ready to go...

hey brv looking at equipment, is this lantern available in 'the ferry'
Miner's Lantern: A smaller version of the bullseye lantern, a miner's lantern provides normal light in a 30- foot cone and increases the light level by one step in the area beyond that, out to a 60-foot cone (darkness becomes dim light and dim light becomes normal light). A miner's lantern does not increase the light level in normal light or bright light. It burns for 6 hours on 1 pint of oil. A miner's lantern comes with straps for attachment to a helmet or other piece of sturdy headgear, but it can also be carried in one hand. Source PCS:PSFG {pathfinders society field guide)
I wasn't sure about the source so I thought I would ask, we've had to have gone through a few torches by now (20-30?)
brvheart
This is not a PFS game so nothing from there is available, but you can buy a hooded or bullseye lantern.
Wdrozgrúk
Thanks to Elathras' extra monies from his disappearing act in the painting, we now have a wand of CLW bought from Bjorn. I'm assuming it's got 50 charges and is Caster Level 1.
I'll Add it to the RA loot sheet.
Should Gruk be the one to hold on to it, or someone else?
If someone else, I would recommend having a wrist sheath to keep it up one's sleeve. Literally. Makes it way easier to make use of it.
brvheart
Even with a continual light wand you will have to drop it to fight.
Kaztor Strongforge
Give anyone the wand that can use it, other than me. I always get nervous for one person to have the majority of the healing resources.

hey Norwood, welcome aboard, looking over your sheet real quick, a couple of questions.
The damage on your elven blade is 1d10+3, your strength modifier is +2, where is the extra point from?
Also, did your half elf take 'Adaptability,' giving you the +3 skill focus, or 'Ancestral Arms,' allowing half-elves training in an unusual weapon? Your disable device (+14) looks like he used the + 3 skill focus, but he also carries an 'elven blade' which would require the 'ancestral arms'. I didn't see either racial trait listed.
I hope you post a lot, I'm looking forward to someone else tripping the traps or sticking his nose in where it doesn't belong...ask brv, he will explain why Elathras' nose is rotted off his face.
brvheart
Half-elves get racial weapons or elvn magic, but not both. I am sure the +3 is from 2 handed. Daniel got mummy rot in Tsar so he has some idea!
Daniel, you have way too many characters on that stat line. Just include one weapon and for saves just use F, W and R and Perc. Shorten it until it shows. See recruitment for my comments on items.
Elathras Narcinal
duh, yeah, sorry, two handed weapon....+3. sleep deprivation, I'm sure!
Which is elvn. magic? The pfsrd says half elves get: Elven Immunities, Adaptability, Keen Senses, Low-Light Vision, Elf Blood and Multitalented.
then it lists: Alternate Racial Traits:
•Ancestral Arms Some half-elves receive training in an unusual weapon. Half-elves with this racial trait receive Exotic Weapon Proficiency or Martial Weapon Proficiency with one weapon as a bonus feat at 1st level. This racial trait replaces the adaptability racial trait.
•Arcane Training Half-elves occasionally seek tutoring to help them master the magic in their blood. Half-elves with this racial trait have only one favored class, and it must be an arcane spellcasting class. They can use spell trigger and spell completion items for their favored class as if one level higher (or as a 1st-level character if they have no levels in that class). This racial trait replaces the multitalented racial trait.
brvheart
Raised by elves also gives that in Alternate Racial Traits. I can't see that part of his sheet, but HL won't allow it if he does not have the proper traits.
Elathras Narcinal
asking more because of playing half-elves than anything else, just trying to figure out if Elathras would be able to use "elven weapons"
Norwood
Sorry to freak you guys out with those gears. I had been inform what going on now. Elathras most of the elven weapons are exotic weapon expect if you are proficiency with long bow and long sword.
Elathras Narcinal
....Elathras most of the elven weapons are exotic weapon expect if you are proficiency with long bow and long sword.
still confused I thought elves could "treat any weapon with the word “elven” in its name as a martial weapon." But half-elves had to use the alternate trait "Ancestral Arms" again only asking so if I misunderstood Elathras could use "elven weapons"
Wdrozgrúk
I think you might have mixed up Half-Elves being treated as Human and Elves for effects pertaining to race. That doesn't extend to knowledge or skills, like weapon proficiencies, as far as I know.
If I remember correctly, you'd have to swap out that Adaptability racial trait for Ancestral Arms if you wanted proficiency in Elven weapons.
Mitleid
Amen.
Check for the Half elven section.
It says nothing about elven weapons.
You can trade one trait for another. Here A
ncestral Arms Some half-elves receive training in an unusual weapon. Half-elves with this racial trait receive Exotic Weapon Proficiency or Martial Weapon Proficiency with one weapon as a bonus feat at 1st level. This racial trait replaces the adaptability racial trait.
You gain ONE weapon proficiency, but you loose the skill focus.
brvheart
Norwood they are correct, you need to take either Ancestral Arms or elvn blood and that only gives you one weapon proficiency.
Irenicus
Well ancestral arms differs in that it is not limited to elven weapons. So there's that!

we are just south of #1 in the hall facing east. We found a trap there, brv will post the info later this morning.
edit: the map that brv uses is on roll20.net but we can only see the parts that the torches are lighting up, so I screen shoot the sections and copy and past them to the image I have posted above.
if you are on roll20 the game is called "Rappan Athuk Old School"
on your perception roll your first part was right but you have to follow the roll numbers with a [/dice] it will close the formula, they all work that way the beginning, is with [whatever you are telling it]and then[/whatever you are telling it] to end or alter the formula.
the explanation under "How to format your text" may seem vague but it starts to make sense eventually.
brvheart
I need to talk to him, but I think it is an alternate racial trait allowing only the one weapon from what I can see. Let's presume that for now at least.
Wdrozgrúk
@ brvheart: just trying to update the party loot spreadsheet.
How much was that scroll of Cure Disease Gruk found worth?
And what happened to that amulet of Natural AC that Dolgrin had? I can't remember if someone else has it, or it was sold off.
And for some reason I had an awful time trying to post my initiative. No idea why it was being so difficult. Oh well, these things happen.
