"My idea exactly, after we clear the manor, I plan to come back to the cellar and grab some for later. You know for our effort!"

Tamora |

Tamora sweeps her hair as she reads the wrapping
"Why not? We deserve it more than they do. We are doing all the work for them."
The inquisitor follows the dwarfs example, inspecting the door with her senses and divination spell except comparing to his quick glance, her inspection is longer.
Btw, Tamora will be opening the bird cage after we cleared everything. She does not tolerate animal abuse.

Tamora |

Waiting for GM.

Rannik |

Sorry, Easter got me running around more than expected.
After a good inspection, the group finds nothing on the door. Opening the door reveals a small room. This ten-foot-square antechamber’s north wall is an artfully wrought gate of bright metal that opens onto the larger chamber beyond. The walls of this chamber are covered with strange glyphs and runes, including one enormous word scrawled in one-foot-high letters across the north wall.
The gate to the main room is locked. From within the pit you hear a guttural voice speaking. "Here to gloat over me some more, wizard? And without your usual greeting? You’ll play that game one time too often, and on that day I’ll enjoy supping on your entrails.”

Kyzen |

"No idea at all!"

Tamora |

Tamora studies the wall to see if this is in a language she knows.
Linguisitic to decipher language: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 = 15
"Don't look at me. I do not know."
The inquisitor moves away from the wall and place an ear on the door.
"Okay. We are done here."
Tamora begins to walk away.
Do we need separate checks to decipher the language and pronounce the name?

Kakrish Stonetoe |

Linguistics: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 1 = 18
Kakrish turns his head first to one side then the other. His lips move silently as he tries to decipher the gigantic word written on the wall. "Don't work Tamoramma, as far as I can tell this is just gibberish. It is probably meaningless."
He turns to grab the metal gate and rattles it. "Hmm. How can we open this?" At the voice coming from the pit in the floor Kakrish steps back. "Well now. That sounds friendly!" He tries to peer through the grate to get a look at where the voice came from.

Rannik |

@Tamora. You need to speak abyssal and do the check to say it.
The voice comes from the pit on the far side of the room pass the gate. (the dark gray circle on the map.) "Still no words coming from you? I sense others with you... Are you finally tired of hiding behind that gate? Come then, let us see how brave you are."

Tamora |

Tamora resists the urge to sigh.
"I was hoping that we are saving the best for the last. We are not going let this go, are we?"

Kyzen |

"There is nothing like the present moment... Lets do this!"

Tamora |

"So are we breaking the door down or what?"

Kyzen |

"Lets try to open it or brake it down!"

Rannik |

Kyras first inspect the gate for traps, then uses his tools to unlock it. It isn't an easy lock, but the half elf manages to get it open. Moving aside, he let the more front line fighter walk in first. At the same time, the voice can be heard in the pit. "Walking in here? You are either brave or foolish, and I think it is more the latter. Now, let me get out of here to see what you look like before I tear you limb from limb." A goat-headed humanoid covered in a mangy gray hide that only partly covers its gaunt but muscled frame climbs out of the pit and look at you.

The inquisitor eyes turn serious as motes appear adjacent to the demon forming into multiple celestial badgers that surrounds it. With an order, they rage (free action) and attack the enemy with a series of swipes and bite that shines with the purity of the light (smite evil; swift).

GM?

Rannik |

@Tamora. Reading your post, I'm not sure of a few things.
1. It should be Summon Monster 2 and not 1.
2. Using Summon Monster 2 would give you 1d3 badgers and not 1d4+1.
3. I think I'm going to cal you Squirrel Girl from now on.
Tamora summons an army of badgers that claw and bite at the demon. They score multiple hits and the creature is covered in claw and bite wounds. Kyzen's attack pass right next to the target, hitting the back wall instead. Kakrish and Hoga gets closer to the fight. The demon fights back at the badgers, hoping to take down as many as it can.

Kyras Darksoul |

Hmm. You have Kyzen in the initiative order twice and do not have Kyras at all. I am gonna guess that the second Kyzen is really Kyras.
Knowledge Planes: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (13) + 10 = 23
It is only a common Schir demon. Kyras recites. Its also known as a spite demon. While it isn't known to be the most intelligent demons and have limited magical abilities, the schir demon compensates for it by being powerful melee combatant. They have a powerful charge ability. On the defense side, like most demons, they require cold iron or good aligned weapons to deal effective damage. They have good resistance to multiple elements (acid, cold, fire) and immunity to electricity, poison and disease. They are also resistant to magic.
Under the effects of his mutagen, Kyras moves up and attacks the demon with his reach weapon, power attacking.
Melee: mwk cold iron fauchard: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (18) + 8 = 261d10 + 7 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 7 + 3 = 19
adds +4/-2 to physical/mental attributes, and +2 nat. armor for 30 minutes.

Tamora |

Tamora will bear that title proudly. As for summoning, I read that you can summon 1d4+1 but only when using summon monster 3 to summon creature from summon monster 1 list.

Tamora |

"In other words, do not let it strike us while striking back it with non-magical attacks and weapons. Honestly, Kyras, would it kill you to keep it simpler?"
Tamora shoots an arrow at the creature before ordering her badgers to reposition into flanking position to resume their assaults.

I don't suppose anyone prepped Align Weapon... Yipes!
Cold Iron gets through.

Kyras Darksoul |

"In other words, do not let it strike us while striking back it with non-magical attacks and weapons. Honestly, Kyras, would it kill you to keep it simpler?"
It might Tamora, it might. Kyras says with a rye smile.

Kyzen reposition himself for a better shot, but misses again...

Tamora |

I realized that Tamora needs LOS to shoot so I moved her to a position to allows her to. This takes place before she shoots and orders her badgers to their current position for flanking bonuses.

Kyzen |

It was for Kyzen... Hahaha!

Kyzen |

"Lets go check the other door to the north then and lets make it fast so we can still take advantage of the badgers!"

Kakrish Stonetoe |

Kakrish raises his greatsword above his right shoulder and twists at the waist to cock back for a powerful stroke. His eyes gleam as he looks for the perfect time to let loose the pent up strike against the demon. Then, before he has a chance to swing, a blast of power and the biting, clawing attacks from Tamora's badgers drop the demon. "What! I didn't get a chance to attack!" He relaxes his muscles and lets the sword fall to his side. Just for good measure he pokes the tip of his greatsword into the back of the felled beast.
"Next time, guys, give me a shot at the enemy. Of course, if I had had a chance at this one, the battle would have ended much sooner." Kakrish grins broadly at the rest of the group.
"Ok. I'm with Kyzen. Let's move to the next door. Maybe there will be something there for me." He starts towards the exit. "Anyone grabbing that halberd?"

Tamora |

We're too good for it. That and RNG seems to favor us today. Also, you forgot to credit Tamora with her kill participation again. This is starting to become a gag. :^)
Tamora hums as she and her horde of angry badgers run after the hobgoblin. Should have 5, 4 or 3 rounds left in their rage until they are fatigued

Kyras Darksoul |

The army of badgers and the solid blow from Kyras finish off the demon. With the threat gone, the group finds nothing else of interest except for the masterwork halberd that the schir had.
This was supposed to be a difficult fight... :(
Just realized that was a threat for Kyras too. Fauchard crit range is 18-20. This is why Kyras took Mutagen at level 3 and not Infusion.

Rannik |

Hoga opens the door and walks into the room. Inside you see six stone slabs sit on the floor of this chamber. Heaped upon each are metal tools, gears, springs, and other parts for the construction of mechanical creations. Tamora detects no magical auras in this room.
Inspecting the room, you realise that this area is for the crafting of clockworks.
You estimate the value of the items in this room at 2500 gp

Kyras Darksoul |

No, we don't have to haul it anywhere, only catalogue it. Kyras adds. I think we are done, no? Lets go back and look for secret doors.
