I will continue on with Anchard the experimental cleric for now.
Arendyl Gilvanus
i think I'm going to take the opportunity to have Aren bow out gracefully. Aren was one of my first attempts at a play by post char and I don't find him terribly interesting.
If you'd like I can float a couple ideas for a replacement character or I can bow out as well.

Once the other group closes out everyone will move back to Greyhawk city and prep for the next tasking. I expect to do that starting around the 24th because my little ones have spring break and I am taking them away from the 15th to the 23rd.
For those that are staying on go ahead and level to 4 with 200 gp as a gift from the town/Thrand. More will be doled out when you prep for the next mission.

I guess I missed a lot!!!! 23 gameplay posts to read.. will go read them now. If we are taking the opportunity to level up or replace our characters, I might replace Tzardusk, as I'm just not feeling a strong connection to him anymore... we'll see after I read the thread... Don't want to leave the game... I love the setting.
Tzardüsk
will be making a new character... I'm wondering though what theparty is most in need of class-wise... seems like arcane and divine are well-covered, we have a dedicated front-liner in Antonio.. and Arendyl's replacement is an unknown... Perhaps I'll make an elven archer. or a human one... what are your character creation rules again?

Sweet! That leaves Thrand 6,000 gp to spend on himself.
Thrand Prymlea
According to my notes, there was also roughly 2,000 gp worth of assorted jewelry on Arendyl's person, so another 400 gp each. Thrand foregoes his share of that.

Suggested starting wealth for a fourth level character is 6,000 gp. Will we get anywhere close to this once we are back in Greyhawk? Is crafting our own equipment a way around wealth restrictions? Should we plan on dexterity being a much more likely component of our AC than heavy armor?

Suggested starting wealth for a fourth level character is 6,000 gp.
that is just a suggestion
Will we get anywhere close to this once we are back in Greyhawk?
yes. you will be geared up before you depart again... it might not be the full 6k, maybe 5,999 gp
Is crafting our own equipment a way around wealth restrictions?
if you take the feats it can be. I dont have any issues with that if all the pre-reqs are met
Should we plan on dexterity being a much more likely component of our AC than heavy armor?
that is up to you and your desired build. if everyone plays a dex based character and you find a set of +3 adamantine full plate then sell it.
Anchard Wulfphear
Im not going to do ooc in discussion, so if that bothers anyone let me know.
Just to add to the discusion up until the end of this chapter, Anchard was just barely above 1/5 the suggested starting wealth for a 3rd level character. Im not complaining, just pointing out that 500gp is only a little below where Anchard was. Lower wealth hurts martial characters more than casters, but from what Ive observed is that there have been more weapons and armor than scrolls and caster centric items so that makes up for the gap a bit.
Thrand Prymlea
So don't completely erase all of Antonio's gear at this time? Instead, come up with a second set of 500 gp worth of gear for him to use in the interim, if he happens to join the party before they reach Greyhawk? Then merge the two lists as more funds become available?
Anchard, one fifth? What luxury! Thrand was at about a tenth before he acquired the stag sword, which isn't even his. It is on loan to him from the Lord of Berwyn. The lord is a generous man. He invited all unclaimed orphans to live with him in his castle where they attend school and work as servants, pages, and squires.

Lol, Anchard was lucky in no one wanting a masterworked mace at level 2, so that was most of his fortune.

Tzardusk, if you are up for taking up the ranged slot, my main thought for a replacement character would be a Gnome Bard. As a melee character for the most part
Tzardüsk
yes, planning on making an archer.
Arendyl Gilvanus
Do you guys think this guy would fit into the party? He's designed for a giants campaign but it fizzled out. The backstory is easily modified but want some idea if you think the sharp toungued prankster could work?
