Though the first try falls well short of the advancing troops (or what appears to be the grouped soldiers, based on the dozens of torches you see), the second is a direct hit into the center of their formation! Screams and cries can be heard, as well as shouted orders to extinguish the torches.

By the time a third shot is loaded, the enemy is no longer visible...

Nice shot on the second roll! No perception check was needed, so I counted the first roll as your first shot. Feel free to make a third one, but the DC is very high now that you don't have a 'target'. Or you can head in and prepare your defenses. The enemy is now probably about three hundred yards away or so.

The little gnome stands in the middle of the ground floor, waiting for the battle to wash over the house...

Male Human (Aren't we all? Folks need to remember that!) Epic Level GM (35+ years!)

The final barrage of ammunition from the catapult fails to find the enemy, and as the Golden League troops close in on the house, their war cries sounding through the misty rain, the Pathfinders retreat inside, taking up positions for the assault.

A group of six enemy wielding longbows with battle axes strapped to their backs and clad in leather armor move into the dim area of illumination cast by the lighthouse upon the surrounding area. The misty rain makes it difficult to aim, but at least the Golden League will be hampered by those same conditions. And the Pathfinders have the added advantage of cover as they hunker down and wait or attack with their own ranged weapons.

Player's Map - Slide #1

Looks like your intent was to barricade most of the first floor windows, and you had enough material to do so to four of six. The other two that are open have bear traps behind them. All the second floor windows are open though, whether for your own use to fire through or for them to enter - should they be able to get up there.

For Round 1, the six enemy troops are approaching the house, and are about 200 feet away at the moment. The light surrounds the house in a roughly 100' spread, so ONLY those with low-light vision can see the troops at this point. If you have line of sight from a window (or atop the tower), you can use ranged attacks or spells at this point. I'm not going to the map quite yet, not until the troops start to break into the house, but please place your icons appropriately now, keeping in mind you'll need to be on the second floor or atop the tower to even have a chance of seeing the troops approaching from the front of the house. Styfis, at the moment you are the only one that can see them, and your elvish eyes can discern the troops as they move toward the house.

So far I've got Red placed (and I've given you a red border by the way, so I can tell you apart from Grey - who has a grey border!) on the map, Arin is placed on the map and Styfis is as well. Styfis can fire immediately thanks to his vision, Red will have to wait until the soldiers enter the 'bright' light around the house, and Arin is going to wait until the soldiers are right up to the house to cast his Bless spell. I presume that Styfis will call out to the gnome when to do it, as he as line of sight on the enemy and is closest to Arin.

I will wait until this evening to hear from the other players before moving us into Round 1 of the combat, just so I can make sure that they are where they want to be on the map, and to give them a chance to let me know if they are taking any immediate actions with ranged weapons or spells - though as Styfis mentions, they will have to be on the second floor near a window or at the top of the tower with Red.

With a hoarse battle cry, they race forward across the open space (120' move), and now Red can see them too!

Sorry for the silence, I was only getting updates for the discussion tab for some reason.

Lovissa continues to wait on the main floor with her longsword out, ready to repel the enemies from wherever they try to gain ingress. She focuses on her sword, casting a psychic spell upon it. (casting lead blades on her longsword during round one to increase its damage to 2d6 for 4 minutes) then channels some of her psychic powers into her blade, making it magical (using legacy weapon during round two to make her longsword +2 for 1 minute).

Thus prepared she waits... listening quietly for sounds of the enemy trying to break inside the manor.

Male Human (Aren't we all? Folks need to remember that!) Epic Level GM (35+ years!)

Oops, sorry Red your shot would have happened as well.

Red fires an arrow as well, just as the enemy comes into view 100’ away from the house, and about 140' away as the crow flies from his perch atop the lighthouse (-2 penalty for range, Concealment Miss (01-20): 1d100 ⇒ 2), but the misty rain confounds his aim and the arrow misses high and right.

Styfis (Concealment Miss (01-20): 1d100 ⇒ 5) and Red (Concealment Miss (01-20): 1d100 ⇒ 55) both fire more arrows at the enemy as they close in on the house, well within range of their longbows now, but this time their efforts are met with only partial success as one of Red's arrows finds its mark Enemy Soldier #: 1d6 ⇒ 3, though the elf is unable to connect with either shot.

The soldiers continue to approach at a slower pace, splitting apart as two move to the sides of the house while another two head toward the front door. All six of them return fire at Styfis and Red as they close in, though the Pathfinders have the benefit of cover and the arrows clatter harmlessly against the wall protecting them.

Combat Details:

Soldier #1 Shortbow attack (w/ range penalty): 1d20 + 5 - 2 ⇒ (16) + 5 - 2 = 19
Soldier #2 Shortbow attack (w/ range penalty): 1d20 + 5 - 2 ⇒ (6) + 5 - 2 = 9

One of the Styfis' arrows also finds the mark (Concealment Miss (01-20): 1d100 ⇒ 39) and the already badly injured soldier falls to the muddy ground and doesn't rise.

Player's Map - Slide #1

In Round 3, each of the enemy moved 30’ and fired an arrow, (three at Styfis, three at Red) and they are now 20’ away from the house, two approaching the sides and two approaching the front door. Please give me your actions for Round 4. I don’t have them on the map as of yet.

Lovissa readies an action to move to whichever side window she hears someone attempt to breach first.

Male Human (Aren't we all? Folks need to remember that!) Epic Level GM (35+ years!)

Red fires two more arrows (Concealment Miss (01-20): 2d100 ⇒ (56, 28) = 84) and this time both of them find the mark, dropping another soldier in his tracks.

The remaining four troops break for the house, one coming through either window and setting off the bear traps! Both of the soldiers scream in pain as they stumble right into them. The two in front cast aside their bows and charge the door with a portable battering ram, managing to smash it apart in their first attempt!

Combat Details:

Bear Trap #1: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (10) + 10 = 20 vs Soldier #5
Bear Trap Damage: 2d6 + 3 ⇒ (6, 4) + 3 = 13
Bear Trap #1: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (9) + 10 = 19 vs Soldier #6
Bear Trap Damage: 2d6 + 3 ⇒ (3, 2) + 3 = 8

STR Check: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24 vs DC 20

Styfis brings his magic to play, sending a sonic blast down against the two that smashed apart the front door, both of them clap their hands to their ears and one of them seems stunned. (Fort Save: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24 Fort Save: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8)

Player's Map - Slide #1

In Round 4, the enemy have closed in on the house, two of them getting in through the side windows and the other two attacked the door with a portable battering ram, successfully breaking it down. Red, you can attack with shuriken retroactively for Round 4, but the enemy has soft cover (+2 to AC) because you're firing through Syfis' square. Currently, the two soldiers are at the front door directly beneath you, and you have line of sight through the murder holes (though I'm going to say that throwing shuriken through them is much more difficult than shooting arrows, so they will have cover [+4 AC] from thrown weapons). Bad guys are now on the map!

Round 5 - Initiative & PC/NPC Condition:

Southern Red - 38/38
Gray Son - 36/36
Kyroden - 18/18
Arin - 24/24
Golden League Soldier (Red) - Wounded (-8)
Golden League Soldier (Blue) - Wounded (-8), stunned for 1 round
Golden League Soldier (Green) - Wounded (-13), movement is at half-speed
Golden League Soldier (Yellow) - Wounded (-8), movement is at half-speed
Styfis - 45/45
Lovissa - 31/31

The archer fires again one arrow on the man NOT stunned, this time from above.

DM: FYI Snake Style
You gain a +2 bonus on Sense Motive checks, and you can deal piercing damage with your unarmed strikes. While using the Snake Style feat, when an opponent targets you with a melee or ranged attack, you can spend an immediate action to make a Sense Motive check. You can use the result as your AC or touch AC against that attack. You must be aware of the attack and not flat-footed.

Okay, I am confused, would I need to do an acrobatics check then to get down stairs?
