Male Game Master

Alright, the discussion thread is open. What are people interested in doing? Is anyone interesting in GMing? I personally would strongly prefer to PC.

I would prefer to PC as well but can DM if no one else does. I normally play divine casters but will take any role except skill monkey.

Sovereign Court

I can GM or PC, I'm fine.

I agree that there are far more players than GMs.

The question is what do you guys want to play?

Do you guys want a series of PFS Scenarios, Modules or APs.

What I've found is that scenarios are faster than modules, modules are faster than APs and if it takes too long, people tend to lost interest. The worse is when we wait on each other.

Painlord's guide comes to mind here.

I think having a coherent campaign is important, it is one of the things I don't like about PFS.

Male Game Master

I think that an AP would be great, or a mix of homebrew and module adventures. I feel the same way that Browman does. Could we maybe just run the first module of an AP as a standalone adventure? I think that would solve those problems. It also wouldn't have the potential to last for a few years like a whole AP would.

A series of Scenarios and Modules along with APs linked to have a sort of campaign?
I have done it before in RL.

The problem is choosing what to play as.

I would definitely prefer to be a PC if you'll have me. Have we decided on a starting level or campaign style yet?

Male Game Master

I'm pretty much down for anything along those lines except for RotRL.

I like low starting level, preferably no higher than 2

Myself as well Browman, I'd prefer to start around 1st to 4th level.

Sovereign Court

I would suggest starting level 2 or 3. This would give some leeway to games. Also We can consider Dragon's Demand? It's a mini AP.

Heavens knows the amount of games I have taken over or inherited cause I can't seem to say no. lol.

Male Game Master

Dragon's Demand sounds good. I haven't played it, but I've heard good things. I think that if we're going to be doing this then we should definitely start at level 1, because that's what the module is built upon.

Do we have a fourth player? I thought that I counted right. If not then we'll just pull in the next guy from the recruitment.

Also, I'm totally willing to fill any party role.

Sovereign Court

Just so you guys know, I have almost all the APs, have run them mostly at least once though don't ask me exact details, I can't remember. Don't have Mummy's Mask yet though. :P

Dragon's Demand has a diisadvantage in that the Adventure written doesn't fill in alot for NPCs so expect quite a bit of variation on it.

Just incase, do you guys want PFS Credit for it just so you might want to apply it to some characters you have hanging around.

Grand Lodge

Human Paladin (Divine Hunter) 1

PFS credit would be great! Here is the character I would like to use, if that's okay. This is an archery based human paladin.

PFS credit often takes too much effort to be worth doing for a PBP in my opinion, if everyone else wants to we can, but I would say not to.

Grand Lodge

Human Paladin (Divine Hunter) 1

If we're not doing being PFS, then I would still like to play this character anyway.

Grand Lodge

Human Paladin (Divine Hunter) 1

If some other type of character is needed, then that is totally fine.

M Human

I'd like to be a PC, I've never done Dragon's Demand so I'd be down to try it. I've never played a PFS char so either way I wouldn't care. I just would need to know how for a PFS char.

Sovereign Court

Chronicle Sheets GM Busy At Work........

Dragon's Demand it is.
What's everybody else bringing as I activate the search function on my lappy lol.
(Got those maps stashed somewhere.)

Are we set on 1st level for our characters? If so, I'll be building either a Summoner or Magus, unsure of which yet.

I think that is the plan.

Which currently leaves us with:
a summoner or magnus (The odd goblin)
a ranged paladin (GM Nightingale)
a cleric or ranger (Browman)

Male Game Master

Are going to be using PFS rules for character creation? Also, what kind of character do we want for our 4th member? I guess that it depends on what TheOddGoblin and Bowman decide on upon. I would just like to note the my character is going to make a pretty decent face (15 Charisma and trained in Diplomacy).

We probably need a front liner. Even if we have a cleric and magnus neither of those are classes you want as the tank.

M Human

I can be a fighter, I love pathfinder fighters.

Do you guys want PFS Rules for Char creation?
Dragon's Demand would bring you up to level 7 and that's the level cap.

I would say it isn't worth it as long as people are reasonable and don't set out to make crazy cheesy characters.

Bad Experience with PFS, Browman?

20 point buy
2 traits
Core Races
Average Gold
Sounds Reasonable?

Sounds good to me.

I just don't like having to look at an extra document when making my character if I don't need to, it is why a lot of my characters are almost entirely done using only core.

And I think I will be going ranger, is there a player guide for the ap?

Sovereign Court

Chronicle Sheets GM Busy At Work........

Nothing wrong there, Browman. Perfectly fine with Core.

I don't think there'a s player guide for this actually. Besides there's a dragon?

Grand Lodge

Human Paladin (Divine Hunter) 1

Does that mean that I can't use my awesome Divine Hunter archetype?

Would taking favoured enemy (human) be appropriate for the ap? I don't necessarily want a favoured enemy that will always be what we face, but I also don't want to pick something we never encounter.

Grand Lodge

Human Paladin (Divine Hunter) 1

Browman, are you thinking of building a two weapon fighting ranger?

I was thinking either a 2H ranger or a bow ranger. Having a pair of bowmen could be cool and would dramatically change how are party tried to fight.

Sorry for the late updates. I'll be creating the campaign thread later.

I work on weekends so It's much more slower for me to respond.

Edit: Thread is up
