GM Paladin |
Reta, please move your icon on the map, you should have access. If you're using a phone or something where you can't move it, let us know and we will move for you. Waiting on Poog to post an action.
Mic Chuffy |
In that case, While moving, Mic will take out his Fire Resistance potion and stop 10 feet away from the boar.
GM Paladin |
The great hog belches and a stream of fire spews forth from his mouth, washing over Reta and Mic in a painful burst. Reta takes 6 damage, Mic takes 9. Reflex save DC 12 for half.
The animal then retreats a bit, running behind a nearby huckleberry bush, but you can still see him enough to know he doesn't seem to have run away completely, and looks ready to face anyone who comes around the bush.
Combat order:
Piggy
Chuffy
Goog
Poog
Mic
Reta
Mogmurch
Damage Reta: 2d6 ⇒ (2, 4) = 6
damage Mic: 2d6 ⇒ (3, 6) = 9
1d4 ⇒ 3
GM Paladin |
It is indeed an animal, so I'll roll a save for it.
Will: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
With one high-pitched squeal of distress, Piggy suddenly freezes in place, unable to move at all. His eyes betray panic as he sees the other goblins approaching, but he can't force his muscles to move.
We'll stay in combat mode for the moment, as it's entirely possible he'll throw off the effect next turn.

Combat order:
Chuffy
Goog
Poog
Mic
Reta
Mogmurch
Piggy
Still need actions from the bold folks.
Reta BB |
reflex save: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9
After taking a healthy shot of flame to the face, Reta runs up to the animal and jumps on its back, attempting to ride it once the spell's effect wears off. ride check: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (7) + 9 = 16 "Reta will train it!" She says, wildly swinging her sword about as she holds on to a tuft of fur.
GM Paladin |
Since the boar is paralyzed, you can use a climb check to get on top of it as part of your move action. Otherwise you'll have to mount as a move action or as a free action with a DC 20 Ride check.
Mic Chuffy |
reflex: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22
Mic sees the boar stop, he runs to the boar, putting the potion back into his bag. Grabs onto a tusk and swings around and around the letting go to try and land on the back of the animal, facing forward.
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (16) + 10 = 26
GM Paladin |
That's three move actions you're trying to do in one turn. Pick two.
Mic Chuffy |
I thought storing something or retrieving something was a free action while moving, if you have a BAB of 1 or greater. If that's not the case, Mic will hold onto the potion and do the swing one handed.
Poog the Sagacious |
Umm...guys...why in the world are we trying to ride the boar instead of kill it? Even if you successfully mount it, won't it just start attacking us and breathing fire on us, but with a goblin on its back?
"Kill it! Stab it! Make bacon!" Poog urges as he runs over.
double move
GM Paladin |
Moved Mic and Reta's icons on the map for them. Mic is on top of the boar, while Reta is next to it attempting to get on.
Will save: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
Piggy still can't move!
Combat order:
Piggy
Chuffy
Goog
Poog
Mic
Reta
Mogmurch
Mic Chuffy |
Mic, now sitting ontop of the big, puts the potion away move action and brings the dog slicer down on it's head.
attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 13
damage: 1d4 - 1 + 2d6 ⇒ (2) - 1 + (3, 4) = 8
In that case. Disregard the stuff before.
Mic will Coup-de-Grace.
GM Paladin |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |
Rolling additional damage for Mic's CdG: 1d4 ⇒ 1 for a total of 9. That's a DC 19 fort save to avoid dying.
1d20 + 8 ⇒ (18) + 8 = 26
Mic inflicts a serious wound on the boar, but just misses a major artery.
Piggy has taken 21 damage so far.
Cartmanbeck's Gob Pregen |
Goog tries to deal some damage to the piggy before it awakens from his spell effect. He pulls out a wand of sound burst and fires off a charge.
Unfortunately, since there are goblins on top of the pig, it will hit them too. BOTH OF YOU HAVE TO EXPLICITLY AGREE THAT I CAN AFFECT YOU WITH THIS SPELL. Otherwise, Goog will need to do something else.
sound burst: 1d8 ⇒ 1 Also a Fort save, DC 13, or stunned for 1 round.
Mic Chuffy |
fort save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
We be Goblins, we may do crazy stuff to each other.
GM Paladin |
GM Paladin |
Fortitude: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (2) + 8 = 10
Reta's blow is finally enough to overcome the creature's strength and ferocity. Her flame - shrouded blade sinks into the boar's neck, and a torrent of dark lifeblood streams out as she yanks it back.
End combat!
Examining the boar shows his leather barding seems to have been altered, as if originally made for a differently - shaped animal. From the collar around his neck hang two gourds that have been hollowed out, and have a thick, sulfurous - smelling black liquid inside.

GM Paladin |
The six goblins spend some time rejoicing in the victory over the pig, but then head through the berry patch, over the next hill, and descend towards the Munchmeat farm.
Surrounded by a rickety wooden fence and thick mud, Munchmeat Farm slumps in a soggy valley between two low tors. A slimy-looking creek winds through the farm, which is barely anything to look at. A house in the center of the fenced-in area leans against two hefty buttresses holding up three large beams. It’s balanced on numerous thick log stilts that create a cage-like hollow in the mud below the building. North of the house are a few filthy chicken coops, and to the west an upturned boat, propped against the fence, has been built into an impromptu shelter. A shed sits to the south of the building, and south and east of this shed are a few tired stretches of garden that look like they’re best at growing mud and weeds.
Ahead of the goblins as they descend into the valley is a single rickety farm gate, allowing passage through the wooden fence below an archway made of broken branches and bleached bones. A sign hangs from the arch, its words scrawled onto the wood with what looks like blood. Three severed, maggot-covered goblin heads sit on poles driven into the ground to the left of the gate. A second sign leans against these poles under the heads.
You folks can approach the gate openly, or try to be stealthy in your approach. You can also approach somewhere else along the fence.
Mic Chuffy |
Mic moves down stealthy and tries to see around the gate.
perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10
Stealth: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (8) + 18 = 26
GM Paladin |
I should note: Map is updated.
Poog the Sagacious |
Poog swallows hard as he looks at the signs and the goblin heads.
Though loathe to make a plan and eager to rush in to fight, Poog does take a moment to cast the resist energy spell he had prepared. Perhaps these macabre visuals make him more cautious.
"Poog ready to fight!" he says with bravado, though a trembling hand betrays his fear.
GM Paladin |
Could you please update to the level 3 version of Chuffy in your profile and status bar?
While circling the farm, Chuffy is able to get a slightly better look at some of the buildings. There is a shed, overgrown with vines, south of the main house (2), a trio of rickety chicken coops, (4), and an overturned boat (3) that exudes an intensely foul odor, which Chuffy recognizes as pig s+$*.
GM Paladin |
Well, are you going through the gate or over the fence somewhere else?
Mic Chuffy |
Mic will sneak through the fence and hide behind the chicken coop. somone move me please
stealth: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (20) + 18 = 38
i want turkey!!!!!! No turkey or greavy for that matter here in Japan.
GM Paladin |
So you're splitting the party? The gate is on the other end of the farm from the chicken coops.
