Now that I'm finally back, I'm worried we may have lost our GM. Also, good to see you, Ery! We can always try to recruit again lol

Ya, he looks like he does quite a bit of organizing for PFS in northern Indiana, and is running a high level game.
Looks like he's been running PbP games for a year now pretty consistently.
I'm good with that if we all think we lost the GM.

Ill continue to observe with anticipation

Hello all! Looks like I will be stepping in to help out with being your GM! It is my goal to go through your posts and things to familiarize myself with your characters and your progress; hopefully getting things rolling again by tomorrow evening (morning if I am lucky). Let me know if you have any questions for me in the meantime, and I look forward to running for you all!

Lots of posts to skim through.
About our characters, i'll post a copy of Tereze's earlier summary for the previous GM.
Lets see, things for you to know, in no particular order:
The Three girls are friends. With Tereze and Gwen being good friends, and Fiona hovering around the edges.Gwen has a Tavern, that she is working to get into shape between adventures (she took it as a vanity)
Locke likes to think of himself as being mysterious about his gender, but Tereze at least has put him firmly as a male.
Fiona is something of a enigma still for the group, never really trying to take the spotlight.
Also as you may have noticed, we tend to be a bit more of role-players then your average society table, in part because we have stuck together so long. So there are times where we will get a bit off track with character interactions if something major happens. (Like when a character dies, or decides to leave the group.) Normally we get back on track after a bit.
As for Tereze herself, the High level is: Young woman, exiled from home who is trying to work off Survivors Guilt for someone who sacrificed herself for her.
That guilt manifests itself as a ghastly creature whenever she uses her haunted oracle powers. (See her character history if you want more info).
She also has a tendency to try to stop civilized humanoids from dying, thinking that maybe if she saves enough it will work off her debt/guilt, so she takes dying humanoids hard. Finally for the Campaign: It was set up that we escaped the town in Dragon's Demand, so we can train to go back and fight the dragon... So at least these last couple missions (until the last part of DD) have all be given the frame story as training missions for us, where we need to learn the lessons we need to save the town.
And Testudo is a booming voiced oread cavalier, riding a turtle at mach 5. :)

Hey everyone, I'm headed on vacation tomorrow! Yay! That means I'll have super limited access until next tuesday. Boo. So please, in the meantime, keep me silent or bot me however feels the best. Thank you for your patience, and have fun! I know I will!

Nice vacation Locke!
Where are you going in Asia?

Oh-ho.
Hope its awesome!

I'll be on the road traveling starting tomorrow and not returning until Tuesday of next week. I will try to post if I can, but I have no idea of internet access throughout all this trip. As such feel free to bot me for the next 6 days if I don't respond within 24 hours.

Hey all sorry on my short absence. I just started a new job Thursday and have doing it of training since I started. Also I was at a family gathering all weekend that took up my entire weekend.

Thanks Locke! Yeah... past few months have been kind of rough being unemployed.
IT work. I used to work Geek Squad back in my college days and my friend is the Technology Director for a nearby school corporation. He had a spot for a basic Computer Tech open up and suggested I apply for it. They just officially offered me the position Thursday. A bit of a learning curve for me, but in the long run I think I'll be happier. Better hours, eventually better pay than what I was making, and likely a lot less stress.
In the meantime though my posting might be slower than usual for the next few months while I get through training and the transition period. After that I think it'll be better.

Congrats Gwen. I've been in a very similar position... got a job as a legal assistant a few weeks back. Love it dearly, though the sad thing is my desk is in a dead zone! :(
Tereze Amnell

Congrats to both of you... I hope the new jobs make you both happy.
And Geek Squad Gwen? Just wondering how was that? I've considered picking that up as a side hustle a number of times but always talked myself out of it.

Noice, friends!

Tereze, it wasn’t too bad but I stopped working there in 2010 so I’m not sure about these days. And it really depended on the store and GM of that store. My first store was awesome, we focused almost entirely on tech work. Whereas the second store got very annoying because the GM that took over towards the end of my time there wanted to make us all salesmen. I told him that if I wanted to sell computers instead of fixing them... I would have applied for a sales position when I came to Best Buy.

Testudo, In the excitement of the Crit, I think you missed a will save on the last channel negative energy.
Also... Wow, that's seriously impressive damage.
Testudo Graeca
|
Ah, I did!
and Yeah, i'm not exactly crit fishing, so i never did the math on what a crit looks like for me, and I think that's the first crit i've gotten since i got the spirited charge feat and actually pulled off a spirited charge. *Low whistles* I think "Improved crit" might have to find it's way into the build somehow just because of how pretty that was.

Hey all sorry on the delay. Busy weekend with the holidays and trying to make arrangements with getting my vehicle back from the body shop. The company that is responsible for the damage is starting to get flaky with payments and I’m having to deal with that nonsense. So hopefully this week I’ll be more available.

I really hope this all works out for you Gwen.

Hello all! Not sure how you like to do chronicle sheets for this but...
Feel free to work in any Day Job rolls as you feel inclined to during the RP if you have them. If you want me to initial any DJ rolls, let me know, otherwise I go by the honors system in that regard. I was able to locate PFS ID numbers for everyone except Locke and Testudo; if you two can provide me those I can report this part of the session.
Additionally, I would love for any feedback from you all on how I am doing so far! Is my pacing for the RP good, too slow, too fast? Things I can improve on? Let me know, as I am always open to suggestions.

Hi GM.
PFS # 119488-8, Liberty's Edge.
Craft alchemy, crafter's fortune: 1d20 + 14 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 14 + 4 = 30
I enjoyed it. It was fine on the RP.
Pretty neat you're using monster tokens from one of the rpg map tools.
I've ran it twice myself.
A surprise to see my bomb setting the curtains on fire, but i may have decided such if someone were to chuck a fireball into such a space as well.

I've enjoyed the RP with the Noble and the extra little details you threw in like the Tavern and smooth transition to the next encounter (which I assume isn't in the scenario.)
So keep it up.
Oh an for the day job roll:
Perform Dance: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (20) + 10 = 30
Hmmm... Well looks like Fiona and whoever we are traveling with are going to get some pretty epic entertainment one night given how she was thinking that the b team at the opera was good..... Once we figure out how we are getting to Qadira, I'll write up a post on this.
Testudo Graeca

I'm loving it so far. I'm used to more "Fast paced" games than this... but honestly, with some life changes recently this is the only game I don't feel overwhelmed keeping up on, and once the others finished this and maybe 1 other will be it for a while. I like it... more fun, more RP, , and I hope Testudo and his turtles are good comic relief and not an annoyance.

Craft(Alchemy): 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (2) + 10 = 12
Agree with everyone else - enjoying it and your additional touches GM! I was particularly happy with the connection to the next scenario and the way you facilitated the RP, so thanks!

In case we start soon:
I just wanted to let you all know, I will be hiking deep in the middle of the Rocky mountains from the 20th to the 27th of this month. As such my internet access even via cell phone will be someplace between spotty to non-existent for that whole time.
As such, please feel free to bot Tereze as needed as I highly doubt I'll be able to post.
Tereze Amnell

Yep, Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons are some of the most scenic hiking in the world.
Assuming of course you like 3,471 square miles of mostly untouched Mountains, Forests, Rivers, Lakes, Geysers, Hot springs, bubbling mud pits, Petrified forests, Bears, Bison, and Elk.

Nice! Have fun!
As a side note, I have had a bunch of things come up over the past week or so that have swallowed much of my time, including a last minute decision to go to Gen Con (OMG PLANS). I will try to have the beginning of the next section up by this weekend.

So Tereze, how was your hiking trip?
Any pictures?
GM, since we're getting to an interesting obstacle for Locke, are we considered to be heading to the baths the same day as the briefing, or the next?

The Trip was AMAZING.
Weather was perfect, cool in the morning (High 40s) and Low 80 F as a high during the day (8-26 C for anyone not in the US)
Pictures: there are a ton, but I need to sort them and get them to a publicly accessible place in order to share any. (I'm bad about that)
Lets just say say: Family, Mountains, Rivers, thick Pine Forests, Bison, Moose, Elk, Antelope, Eagles, Hawks, Otters, Trout, Horses, Hot sprints and Geysers all were part of the trip.
We met a ton of interesting people, and saw some of the coolest geothermal features and animals on earth.
Plus my kids went on their first plane flights, and it was fun to see the wonder in their eyes over that as well.
The only thing I could think that might have made it better is: I didn't see any Bears or Wolves this time. Some in my extended family did see them when they did a side trek while we were rafting down a river. So I'm not all that sad, as the rafting was a blast.
There also was zero internet/cell phone coverage for most of the trip. Which was interesting, as it showed just how much I use that for daily tasks (Maps, IDing animals/plants, and random looking things up and of course checking in on work/friends.)
Needless to say it was so much fun and I'm still adjusting to being back in civilization.
