The fluff:
At long last, the Pathfinder Society has reassembled the Numerian device known as the Sky Key. Initial tests suggest it is capable of projecting a location’s past into the present, allowing Society agents to peruse books from destroyed libraries and speak with echoes of long-dead heroes. Now that it has perfected the Sky Key’s controls, the Pathfinder Society is prepared to extract a slice of Absalom’s history and bring it into the present; however, there’s no telling what might be waiting inside—or who in the present might wish to wield the same power.
The crunch:
As this is the special run for the PbP game day, it will be subjected to a few more rules.
First, the PbP has a hard start and end date, this is August 27th-October 11th.
We cant start earlier, and we cant go over time.
Since this is a timed scenario ran across multiple tables, I will expect at least one post a day for each participant, in order to keep up with the other tables.
If you cant post, let me know as soon as you can, as we can bot you.
If you dont want your PC botted, you might want te reconcider joining.
The tier is 3-4. This means I will accept characters of level 3 and 4 only. A multi table special has tiers for all levels, so if you are below or above this tier, please find an appropriate game.
(more games will get added as time progresses, so check the PbP sigh up site regularly here)
Please post below with your applying character, including level and class. Please also make sure that the character you apply with will be available from August 27th to October 11th.
I will run the game here on the forum, so you will need to have the character profile for that character up to date. At a minimum I want to be able to see basic info:
HP | AC | Touch | FF | Fort | Ref | Will | Percption | Init |
This will help speed things up because it will allow me to make certain rolls for you if needed.
And last, if you're new to PbP, dont be intimidated by all this. If you need help, ask. If something is unclear, ask. We are all here to have fun :)

In a game right now but would most likely be finished by then.
Player Name: nightdeath
Character name: Faerin Boulderstep
Race/Class/Level: Dwarf Paladin (Stonelord) 4
PFS#:7692 - 22
Faction: Sliver Crusade
Any special tricks I should know about your character: No Smite Evil, Some protection against Critical hits.

Sign ups:
Nightdeath with Farin Boulderstep - Stonelord paladin 4
Amazing Red with Kaa - Oracle 1/Ectoplasmatist 3
Nightfiend with Aarion Belanor - Inquisitor 3
ScorchedOne with Dax - Hydro Kineticist 4
Room for four more.
As we have four players we have a viable table now. Just letting you know that I'll open the campaign thread the monday the 22nd, so we can do a bit of pre gaming and get introductions underway, so we can jump in the moment the special starts.

Thank you for your patience on this, everyone.
After discussing this topic with the PFSO corp and with others members of the VO corp at large, we have seen that some of our concerns are unwarranted in regard to simultaneously playing and GMing a PbP multi-table special. In light of that realization we have made the following change:
* You may Play at one table and GM one table of the Multi-Table special at the same time. (One table as GM and one as Player, regardless of Core or Regular Campaign.)
* GMs running the Special at the same time as playing the Special must inform the GM of the table they are playing of this, as outlined on page 7 of the current PFS Roleplaying Guild Guide, in the “Replaying Adventures” section.
* All chronicle application guidelines must be followed as outlined in the current PFS Roleplaying Guild Guide.
We believe this is fair to both GMs and Players, and keeps PFS Online in-line with the expectations and limitations of IRL PFS play, while simultaneously making leveraging the unique benefits of the medium.
Thanks for everyone’s understanding on this decision, and I apologize for any problems that were caused by this initial misunderstanding.
This ruling affects me unfortunately and thus I'll have to pull out. My apolgies.

I'd like to submit my old -1 for this.
Player: Aldizog
Character: Ranalus
Race/Class: Half-elf Ran1/Clr3
Number: 108731-1
Faction: Grand Lodge
Does not have Night in his name, but does have Darkness domain. And some interesting romanticized views on First World theology.
Neutral, stealthy, suspicious of the powerful, with compassion for the underdogs and the dispossessed.
I can add all the stats when I am back home in a couple of days. He needs to buy some gear.

I am interested in playing, but I am just a lowly level 2 wizard. I've never played a PbP game before, and am relatively new to PFS as a whole (I've played 3 games and GMed 1 game). I would understand if you don't want to include someone out-of-tier, thought I would post just in case.
Player Name: dwilhelmi
Character name: Henrikuaxian
Race/Class/Level: Gnome Wizard 2
PFS#:183198-1
Faction: Scarab Sages
Any special tricks I should know about your character: Primarily an Illusionist, with a minor special trick of Threatening Illusion feat with Magical Lineage Ghost Sound to provide a cantrip that gives flanking.

GM Woran |

Hello Henrikuaxian, I have no problem with you being out of tier. Your charactersheet looks very well made. You have good range of backups with your consumables.
Do take into account that you might take the backseat more often in a higher tier, as enemies will make your save DC's with more ease.
If that is OK by you and you're eager to join in in the roleplay and the experience of the special, you are more then welcome.

I'm alright with not taking the spotlight; I can just focus on things that don't need saves (buffs, battlefield control, knowledge checks, etc). What could possibly go wrong? :D
For my own planning purposes, how likely are things at this level to hit a DC17 will save? Should I not even bother with things like color spray?

Use the text formatting. You check it out at the bottom of the posting windows.
"I am saying this out loud!"
Bold is an easy indication that your character is saying this.
I hope you cant read my mind
Italics are what your character is thinking. As we cant pick up roleplay ques from bodylanguage, adding some 'private' thoughts can help with fleshing out your character to others.
The forum has its own diceroller that can be used, so you dont have to worry about that.
