I've just been putting in the email for folk who won boons.

Question for Eadie, you do huge damage, I get the +6 from str, +1 from weapon training, +2 from weapon spec and +1 from enhancement, but where does the last +6 come from? Power attack?

I have to start using that on my barbarian.

Scarab Sages

Female CG Human (Chelaxian) Fighter 13 | HP 161/161 | AC 27, T 15, F 24 | CMB +18 (+25 with heavy blades), CMD 34 (37 vs disarm, sunder) | F +21, R +13, W +19 (+2 vs death effects, +3 vs fear) | Init +10 | Perc +20, SM +3 | Speed 30ft | Active conditions: none

Yessir! Power Attack with a +4 BAB and two-handed weapon is the one! It’s a great feat for melee martials.

I combine Power Attack with the Furious Focus feat from the Advanced Player’s Guide, to avoid “to hit” penalties on the first attack of the round.

So the -2 penalty (in Eadie’s case at present) still applies to Attacks of Opportunity, iteratives, hasted attacks, etc. But as a fighter, she has feats to spare.

I have been in a couple of long-running games with barbarians. Great class and their damage output is insane! It does get scary when they get dropped below 0 hp when raging though. Because they also lose their temporary hit points, which then get deducted from their negative total, I’ve seen an unlucky crit take a barbarian from relatively healthy to one -12 stabilize check from perma-death ...

Thankfully, the party cleric channelled to heal him just in time!

EDIT: There is a feat that avoids this problem … Here it is Raging Vitality.

My barby is working on a few iron will type feats just at the moment. He keeps failing against pesky cause fear and similar effects, which is annoying. PowerAttack may have to be the next though.

Assuming the last two pirates cannot manage to pull off a TPK...I have these ready. Please check that you can find yours and it looks ok:

I will submit sessions and boon rolls tomorrow.

Thanks for running, GM Aarvid. The “yellow-with-age” Chronicle sheets are awesome!

@Rhuul, yeah Eadie has taken Iron Will as one of her feats. I am concerned she might fail a Will save vs. confusion at some stage and start attacking her own party … Wouldn’t be good.

Thanks everyone for a great game!

Rebels Map

Always good for a weak-willed fighter to make the spindle ioun-stone for their wayfinder one of their early purchases. I have been in a couple combats where the party had to deal with a berserk party fighter doing more damage than the enemy.

Just wanted to say thank you. I think you did a fantastic job as gm, it was rough with the holidays but you kept it all on track.

Wasn't a giant fan of this scenario though, for some reason I just didn't find it as compelling as newer ones I've done.

Still got to show off at the end, and thank you Rhuul for helping Malus score his first melee kill, haha. Can't wait to 'upgrade' Ripper at lvl 7!

Thanks to all of the team, by the way. Very cool characters.

Thanks Malus. I have to agree, while I think the story had potential, the combats at this tier were underwhelming. I honestly suspect they did not calculate the CR level properly.

Nevertheless, it was fun to run and a good group with character interaction can make up the difference.

Thanks very much GM Aarvid.

A fun game all, and I enjoyed the party interactions as well. Being the baby of the group used to low tier fights, these were the toughest battles that Rhuul has faced. But in the end with the party, not as challenging as they might have been.

Are you all staying together as a group? If not, I'll go add myself to some game recruitments. If you are, and you don't mind a wisecracking dwarf along, I'd be happy to stay with you.

Boon Rolls:
GM: 1d20 ⇒ 6
Eadie: 1d20 ⇒ 3
Holman: 1d20 ⇒ 4
Malus: 1d20 ⇒ 9
Nokazi: 1d20 ⇒ 7
Rhuul: 1d20 ⇒ 9

Boon of players choice on a natural roll of 1 or 20

Sorry, looks like we all miss out on a boon this time around. :-(

I am reporting the session tonight. Feel free to post IC to wrap up player actions.

Unfortunately, I will have a fair amount of travel the next 4 weeks, so I will not be running anything until probably March.

Sovereign Court

Tengu Sniper (slayer) 10 | HP 94/94 | AC 26 T 18 FF 21 CMD 32 | F+11 R+14 W+8 | Init +7 | Perc+23 SM+19 | Haste 10/10

This was my favorite group. Eadie, I've never seen a straight fighter played with so much personality. Rhuul, loved the puns and hope they keep coming. Malus, I too want a ripper to play with too. Holman, thank you for being my partner in stealth.

Fun game and a round of applause for GM Aarvid.

Hope to see all of you again soon.

Yeap, I'll second that, this would be a fun group to sit round a table with. Though to be fair, I'd need google access to keep the jokes up (secret outed!)
