(PFS/PBP/Roll20) The Sarkorian Prophecy [10-11 Tier] (Inactive)

Game Master Amsheagar

When a novice Pathfinder in the Grand Lodge of Absalom discovers an account of a long lost prophecy which may hold the key to defeating the Shadow Lodge, a team of brave agents heads into the heart of the Worldwound to recover the document. Not only do the forces of the Abyss and the demon-tainted environment stand in their way, but so does a rival team of Pathfinders set on recovering the Sarkorian Prophecy first.

I can't see the map at work, but iirc Balik had to move further than 5ft to reach the mage.

Honestly I can't tell. There's an enemy adjacent to Balik, and the lightning fog of war makes it hard to know who is what and who is where. If Balik needs to step more than five feet, then use the first attack. If not, full attack.

Alden, Exiel and I were still in round 1, so we get our actions, then the tengu and human female act after us. Balik, Aram and Lavode have declared actions for round 2, so we're still waiting on Alden and Exiel's actions for round 2, correct?

S3. Dining Room
The table around which Pathfinders once enjoyed one another’s company and the safe house’s wine and food now is a crumbling heap of splintering boards, no longer a symbol of friendship and warmth, but rather a pitiable reminder of what the world lost when Storasta fell.
S4. Bedrooms
This pair of long-unused bedrooms once provided a much-needed respite to weary adventurers, but now offers its hospitality only to skittering vermin that call the moldering beds their home. Anything that may have
once been valuable in these rooms has long fallen to uselessness.
S5. Pantry
This former larder offers only broken barrels, torn gunny sacks, and a century of dust.
S6. Kitchen
This room was once the safe house’s kitchen, though one could only tell today by the rusted hulk of the stove and the crumbling remains of its once fine granite tiling. The food in the cabinets has long since rotted away, leaving no stench or sense of decay.
S7. Storeroom
This room appears as disheveled as the rest of the building, playing host to mounds of broken wood, a nest of rags where an unknown creature once lived, and scraps of burlap now more pulp than cloth. Despite the mess, however, a trapdoor lies open behind a shattered crate, revealing an iron ladder leading down into the darkness.

The safe house’s cellar has withstood the horrors of the Abyssal invasion better than the rest of the building, and so have the few remaining relics and adventuring supplies stored within it. Various crates, shelves, and barrels hold relatively well-preserved adventuring gear, weapons, scrolls, and books. Rows of stone shelves cut into the south wall stand strangely empty, however, though traces in the dust on the shelves indicate that a large number of bound volumes were recently removed.

15 Perception:
You find three flasks of acid, two thunderstones, a portable ram, a case of 30 cans of barbarian chew, and 600 gp worth of traditional Kellid woodcarvings. However, all gear has rusted to worthlessness.

A small, unlocked chest along the west wall contains a series of ledgers detailing the safe house’s legitimate business dealings as a traders’ guild, journals on the natural resources of southern Sarkoris, and an in-depth anthropological study of gender roles among the native Kellid tribes.

25 Perception:
The Sarkorian Prophecy’s former shelves reveals a small crack between a low shelf and the wall in which a narrow chapbook fell years ago. The book contains none of the prophecy itself, but rather a journal kept by the nursemaid who tended the sick and demented oracle whose mad writings once filled the wall. It reveals that the prophet’s name was Alathra Binzet and that she was rumored to be over a 150 years old when she began prophesying, transcribing her visions in her native Hallit but in a hand unlike her own.

Ralph takes a look around and finds three flasks of acid, two thunderstones, a portable ram, a case of 30 cans of barbarian chew, and 600 gp worth of traditional Kellid woodcarvings. However, all the gear has rusted to worthlessness.

A small, unlocked chest along the west wall contains a series of ledgers detailing the safe house’s legitimate business dealings as a traders’ guild, journals on the natural resources of southern Sarkoris, and an in-depth anthropological study of gender roles among the native Kellid tribes.

Ralph throws the ledgers, journals and chapbook into his backpack, then searches the defeated opponents for useful equipment. Then he turns to the Tengu menacingly.

"It would appear that the prophecies are no longer here. Tengu, you will tell us what you know, or I will have roast fowl for dinner. Where. Are. The prophecies."

Any useful loot from the defeated enemies?

A burrowing earth elemental can pass through stone, dirt, or almost any other sort of earth except metal as easily as a fish swims through water. If protected against fire damage, it can even glide through lava. Its burrowing leaves behind no tunnel or hole, nor does it create any ripple or other sign of its presence. An earth elemental gains a +1 bonus on attack and damage rolls if both it and its foe are touching the ground. If an opponent is airborne or waterborne, the elemental takes a –4 penalty on attack and damage rolls. Can't access the map right now... stupid phone is limiting my interwebs.

about 600 feet down the passage, you come across this dark cavern 25x150x15 You proceed down and in the middle of the cavern, I need marching order from here on out, who's on first and so forth.

Ralph makes sure that the Tengu is knocked out and that all 3 opponents are looted before moving forward.

Ralph and Lavode should be at the back. Could I get a list of what we looted from the 3 guys in the building?

Balik walks toward the front, where his fragrant aroma can waft back to his allies to inspire them further on the path of heroism.

Hmm...since we're underground, Exiel will take the rear guard since Balik is happy to take point. He remembers at least one occasion where his party marched in order of squishiness, only to be jumped from behind. Balik's decision to take point may also have influenced this decision for...other reasons.

;)

Ralph picks out the wands of barkskin and false life.

"This would explain why that mage was so hard to take down. No matter. It is our's to use now."

Ralph uses the wand to cast false life on himself, then offers it to Lavode and Exiel.

False Life: 1d10 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9

"You guys should also fish through these and see what you can use. Alden, put this cloak on for the sake of whatever gods you pray to! You're only so much of an asset if your mind can be wrested away by any half-decent spell-slinger at a whim. I had half a mind to dominate your mind myself back then, but you were freed before I had a chance to do so."

Alden, you should take the cloak of resist +2. Exiel and Alden should also each take a ring of protection +1.

Lavode uses to proffered wand on himself. false life temp hp: 1d10 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4 Then passes it on to Exiel. If any of the rest of you can make use of this, I would suggest now is the ideal time.
.
Looking down the tunnel, Lavode says, Once more today I can conjure magical assistance. If you desire, I could summon something that could quickly or quietly search to the end of that tunnel. But then I won’t be able to conjure any allies should another combat occur. Which seems likely this close to the World Wound. What is your wish?
.
A hasted air elemental can cover almost a mile in 10 rounds or an invisible demon is very sneaky. I'm tempted to use the stones skin on us now, but it probably ought to wait until something seems a bit more imminent.

Exiel nods as he also takes a ring, as well as a +1 cloak if no one else needs it. I don't have any resist bonus to saves. XD

He also takes the wand of false life and activates it on himself.

False life: 1d10 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13

Finally, he helps himself to the adamantine Lucerne hammer.

"We may find a hard nut to crack. This will be useful."

Finally, he casts CLW on himself and casts protection from evil into his familiar's ioun stone.

Cure Light Wounds: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
