The second strike of Darius kills the one who grappled him while Constantine dispel the darkness revealing a man inside.
Faldoc plays after Constantine, so he's not able to see the man when it's his turn.

She readies her wand of magic missile to try and interupt the spellcasters next move..
If on his next turn he casts a spell.

The map is not updated (not able to do it from work).
Red is now near Faldoc and the sphere of darkness is no more.
@Darius seems human (know. local).

Faldoc takes a 5' step back though with Point Blank Master I still wouldn't provoke and aims some arrows at the flying man, allowing his companions to take care of the creature near him!

Faldoc has obviously let his skill go rusty after his Eyes of the Ten adventures.
Boomer double moves to get next to the red enemy.

I'm happy with those saves. With Heroism they're actually 2 higher. After the penalty, that makes the lower of the two a 24.
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 25 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 25 + 2 = 31
Furious at the man's impudence, Constantine decides to fight fire with fire, forgoing the opportunity to weaken his defenses.
Persistent Feeblemind. DC 24 Will (at a -4 penalty if he's an arcane caster). If he makes it he must save again. If he somehow does not have the Human subtype, the DC is 23 instead.

![]() |

*Grumble* I can't charge, a single move doesn't get me in melee reach, and getting clustered with the rest of the group against an obvious spellcaster is a very bad idea anyway. I'll ready an attack (using the first of the two rolls from my earlier post) if an enemy comes within range.

GM Ilmakis |

I will call the fight over after this save. I'm better with yours :P
Well done Pathfinders!

![]() |

"Whoever he is, he's no longer a problem. Might not be too talkative, though. I don't take kindly to people who try to mess with my head."
Constantine will try to snag the man with his whip and pull him to the ground so that others can restrain him. The half-orc will take point on identifying magic items on his person, for starters.
Take 10 Spellcraft for 37

![]() |

Shump points to the man on the ground with his sword.
"Surrender! And give us answers. We don't want to hurt you. But I can't speak for all of my friends. They might not be as honorable as I."
Shump's tusks flare as he shouts at the man.

Kurik takes a moment to concentrate his vision into the ether, looking for any further shamblers lurking beyond the veil.
Perception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (14) + 10 = 24

Darius pulls a wand and taps himself.. Lesser Infernal Healing
"Well that was unexpected.. Good job everyone.. So what now? Take the wizard back for interrogation?

![]() |

"We've got an agent to get out of here. Got a captive, for what little he can tell us." Kurik muses. "Where'd he come from? Same place as the shamblers?"

GM Ilmakis |

On the human you find a +2 scale mail, a masterwork sickle, a cloak of resistance +2, a headband of alluring charisma +4, a ring of protection +2, a medical bracelet (reads “#117”) and a spell component pouch.
Once it's clear that no other shambler came back, Rotuzack says Oh Gods! Thank you! You save us all.
Now I can tell you what happened. Like I said, first one group of mostly human raiders, then a second, attacked the convoy. I've witnessed the arrival of these creatures, these dimensional shamblers shortly after several raiders teleported away. I've seen it teleporting away with live victims I don't know where, but at least two of them were alive. I... I've heard their screams. I... I assume that the raiders’ teleportation summoned these aberrant creatures.
Have you some healing to spare? I'm quite hurt in fact.
First time however I've seen this one. And he don't look like someone from either group who attacked us. He adds looking at the human.
Darius remember tales about a resident power broker in Pashow named Loaralis but nothing beyond that.

Faldoc heals himself and then will offer to use his wand on the injured Rotuzack as well.

Moving to Rotuzack..
Heals: 5d8 + 5 ⇒ (7, 1, 3, 5, 6) + 5 = 27
Does he need more?

GM Ilmakis |

At the end of the fight :
Faldoc (-10hp)
Boomer (-16hp)
Constantine (-40hp)
Kurik
Darius(-28hp)
Shirley (-21hp)
I'm fine lovely Princess! Says Rotuzack after Shirley's healing.

![]() |

Basalte appears to be unscathed after the fight, yet his rocky eyebrow frowns heavily as the oread contemplates the dire situation they're facing.
"We need to act fast. Every second lost plays in our opponent's favor. Let's check out this Loaralis, yes?" he grumbles.

![]() |

I healed myself for 9 so I'm now down -1.
Loaralis, yes. Let's move. Faldoc will quickly finish up collecting his arrows as the party prepares to leave.

![]() |

Does Kurik see anything when he focuses his truesight on the Ethereal?

GM Ilmakis |

Kurik from his previous observations knows that the space between the material plane and the ethereal is very thin here and that any travel between the two planes will get the travelers to a precise location in either plane.
Rotuzack says he sees the shamblers taking alive people out.

GM Ilmakis |

Once things seems having setle done, Farhaana come closer to the group.
Have you finish your investigations? Do you need my expertise in something or my abilities to travel?
I'm ready when you are.

![]() |

"Seems there's a weakened boundary of the planes here. You have any spells to transfer us across?" Kurik asks. "Rotuzack, did you see any Pathfinders get carried off by those beasts?"

GM Ilmakis |

I have prepare two such spell. answers Farhaana to Kurik's question.
The gnome thinks a few second before answering. Mmh, I don't think so. Seems more like two of our ennemies rather than an Emir's soldier or one of us.

![]() |

Kurik looks at the rest of the party. "Do we part the veil and see what we can find, fellows?"

![]() |

"Well we were brought on the make sure the elixir go delivered right? It's obvious that it went to where ever those things are.. If we snag a dead end we can always cure the guy over there and question him."

GM Ilmakis |

I'm back !
Gives hands and be ready. Says Farhaana.
Once you have each other hand she casts her spell taking you to the Astral Plane.
You arrive in a strange place, in the Astral Void where only a strange plateform made of stone linked together by chains floats.
You are able to see several corpses and with ease, Kurik can sees that two of them are still alive, a well built female half-orc and a human with perfect features. They are uncounscious but stable.
Finding nothing of interest, except for the two prisonners, you go back to the material plane with them, thanks to Farhaana expertise.
She looks at them and says I don't know them.
Rotuzack adds The half-orc is from the first group, I'm sure of it ! The second I think the other one, they are not from the Emir troups nor ours.
they are both at 0HP, a simple use of a wand will get them ready to talk
The orders to attack arrived only that morning out of Pashow, where Rosham and others were stationed. He knows that the mercenaries have ample teleportation abilities, so if the elixir disappeared, his comrades likely escaped with it and have already delivered it to their employer at a previously undisclosed location.

GM Ilmakis |

Yes. The feeblemind guy is unable to say anything.
The bracelet "#117" doesn't mean anything to you except if your character has played the #6-98

![]() |

Basalte holds fast the prisoner picked for interrogation, content with leaving the talking to others.

![]() |

I'm sorry, Basalte is completely useless in social situations.

Kurik looks at the seal of Abadar with a frown, opening the document to examine it more closely.
"I hope you tell me what I want to know, otherwise things are not going to go well for you when we return to the Emir."
Intimidate: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18 Well, that was luck.
"Mercenary, doing what you were paid to do, eh? I can't promise the law will have mercy on you. Best make peace with that."
