Before the adventure, Chamius is going to buy two flasks of liquid ice (80 gp) and an ioun torch (75 gp) for a total of 155 gp. He's also going to leave his alchemist's fire at home for the library trip, to avoid the possibility of Bad Things.

Thanks for running, DM R, and well run! That was far from the usual sort of scenario...not the sort of thing I'd like to see all the time, but a nice break from the fighting. OTOH, I'm far too paranoid--if I'd written the scenario, Glorymane would be reporting its location and what it was hearing and seeing back to the Lion Blades.

Same here. I've got a couple of really bookish characters that would have loved this.
There are three instances where a fight can occur in this scenario. Diplomacy solves one, Knowledge solves the second, and dumb luck sort of avoids the third.
You guys did very well in both Diplomacy and Knowledge - the key rollers rolled well enough that the support from non-skilled players pushed them up into success. The same can be said for Diplomacy, even though you nearly blew it right at the start when Nazza told Tobias you were Pathfinders. That was one of my favorite parts. ;)

I thought we were allowed in the first library and not the second! This wasn't very clear from our briefing! Muesello's got it out for my family!
