Etrigan wheels around, his claws and mouth dripping scarlet and his eyes burning. He pushes past Kyra and Malus, stares a moment down into the hold at giant Thad, and then jumps.

GM:
So here's what I WANT to do, you can tell me if it's feasible/legal or not. ;)

Etrigan jumps down into the hold (free action, will be sharing squares with Thad, would be in the square below the squished slave) and Iason casts Feather Fall on him as he falls. After landing, Etrigan moves so that he is not squeezing with Thad-- ideally he would move towards the kennel master. Note that Etrigan has Unnatural Aura, which, at GM discretion, may or may not preclude the dogs from attacking. If it provokes anyway, that's fine, Etrigan will take the attacks of opportunity when he leaves Thad's square (his AC for that attack would only be 23 due to squeezing). Etrigan has darkvision and 60 feet of movement, so I would think he can get to the kennel master, but I'm not sure if there are walls in the way of the route that I am envisioning. If a wall blocks that path, he'll go the long way around (through the slaves), double-moving if necessary to get in the kennel master's grill. Anyway, if Etrigan can get all the way to the Kennel Master and attack, he will.

Iason watches the devil jump, and murmurs a quick word beneath his breath to slow his fall.

Etrigan attack on kennel master, contingent on spoilered info to GM: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10 Whissh!

For the Glory of the Veskarium! Docking Bay 3-3

Malus' snowball hits one of the beasts!

Fort Save: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9 *fail*

Iason:

I love the idea, there are a few logical problems I don't think I can get over though. First is the occupying the same square stuff. I believe if you want to get all technical and make me look up everything it might be possible since you aren't ending there, but somehow my gut say jumping down 10' into a spot filled with an 11-12 foot man just doesn't work for me :). You are right to ask about the walls, basically the square you are talking about puts you at a hard corner adjacent to both beasts so you can't move diagonally SW anyway even if we ignore the space sharing stuff. All that said, there is another grate cover toward the bow of the ship that Etrigan could totally kool-aid man through and drop down on the other side of the half-orc :) Oh yeah!

Thaddaeus, Iason (sorta), Ozymandias, Koemi, and Kyra are still up!

I also added images to the Hold map with mild transparency so you can see your relative positions on the Deck map, except for Iason who is right over the top beast and it was just too hard to tell what was going on there :)

Tell me... would it be possible for Oz to make an Acrobatics check to try to jump from where he is to the very edge of the pit, and start to spiderman climb from the upper deck to the ceiling above his enemies? If so, then I would love to do that! (I am staying in rage, but dropping the dancing)

What about the stair Mark? Can we see it to go down through it? I see it north of Koemi and seems to go up from the Hold.

For the Glory of the Veskarium! Docking Bay 3-3

Ozymandias - seems legit.

Kyra - ignore those stairs north of Koemi, they are part of the pre-created map. Toward the bow are the stairs that lead into the hold (hooked arrow) and down into bilge.

After murmuring the words of his spell, Iasons calmly draws his crossbow and loads it.

Malus - yeah, minor annoyance with using flipmats/map packs but I honestly prefer to use then when possible even if it's only 80% of what I want from the map. As is the case with these maps for this scenario :) I believe if you are using the map pack as intended there is another half-level for the captain's cabin which would put the distance between the deck and hold more like 20', but makes your ship bigger as well.

Ozymandias performs some amazing acrobatics and climbs into the hold upside down!

Etrigan rushes over to the other grate and jumps down with a splintering crack of wood into the hold! Moving quickly he stands up again and moves forward to attack the half-orc but misses!

Koemi takes a more conventional way - the stairs.

Kyra floats down, providing a healing burst of energy while letting the poor slaves know their salvation and freedom is at hand!

The fallen giant stands up, and the drooling beasts nip at him!

AoA Beast 1: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (4) + 8 = 12 *miss*
AoA Beast 2: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (2) + 8 = 10 *miss*

The giant then returns to offense and obliterates the beast closest to the slaves slashing it into submission.

The staggered beast tries again to bite Thaddaeus! It seems to be shrugging off the cold damage.

To Thaddaeus' horror, the wounds on the beast he put down seem to be closing and the slashed flesh stitching itself together!

Bite Beast 2: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (10) + 8 = 18 *miss*

The half-orc slashes frantically at the hell-spawn!

Ozymandias falls from the ceiling and beings a whirling dervish dance of death fighting the beast! He slashes the creature deeply, spraying it's blood everywhere!

Malus' snowball just misses it's target, impacting on the far wall with a thud.

The swarm of eagles follow Malus into the hold and begin attacking the half-orc kennel master! One of them scores a hit as it's talon rakes over the man's arm.

Kyra, not to be outdone by Ozmandias' scimitar work moves in with a pair of deadly slashes on the strange beast! The beast collapses on the floor of the hold, unmoving.

Thaddaeus, unable to move from his cramped location and uncertain the best course of action unleashes frustrating, powerful attacks against the downed beasts who's wounds seem to be healing!

Malus: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (16) + 8 = 24
Ozymandias: 1d20 + 6 - 1 ⇒ (19) + 6 - 1 = 24
Thaddaeus: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8

Captain Wardak: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26

Round 1
Captain Wardak
Koemi
Malus
Ozymandias
Iason
Thaddaeus
Kyra

Attack 1: 1d20 + 7 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 7 + 2 = 18 *miss*
Damage 1: 1d6 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 3 + 2 = 11
Attack 2: 1d20 + 7 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 7 + 2 = 29 *hit, threat*
Damage 2: 1d6 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 3 + 2 = 6
Attack 2: 1d20 + 7 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 7 + 2 = 23 *hit, confirm*
Damage 2: 1d6 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 3 + 2 = 9

All PCs may act!

Please keep in mind this is a tactically terrible situation for you guys. Thaddaeus is blocking the door where the captain stands and the rest of it is walled off.

Liberty's Edge

Haste is over IIRC...also if someone is able to heal me that would be fantastic. What are those attacks after initiative order?

I would like to start rage dancing again (I'm so stealing that phrase), but can unfortunately only dance until I'm not fatigued anymore.

Kyra binds the half-orc while the slaves are being fred.
She then is looking for the wand to heal Thad when the captain appears.

Kyra then readies a healing spell for when Thad steps back to free space to the team avoiding the first line. "Step back for a healing Thad! You have reach!"

Is there any possible position that I could move to be able to see into the room even a little?

For the Glory of the Veskarium! Docking Bay 3-3

Thaddaeus the attacks after the initiative rolls are her round 1 attacks. Malus I drew you a line on the map. 25' movement to get there through the two slaves and difficult in the middle.

Koemi walks through under the legs of most people to the other side and checks if that door is open.

I'm thinking that the two foot tall halfling is also going to walk stumble over to where the Captain is, avoiding the legs of the party, and the... oversized feet of Thad. When he gets to the door, he is going to try and acrobatics past her and avoid getting hit while doing so.

Acro: 1d20 + 12 - 1 ⇒ (10) + 12 - 1 = 21

Once beside her, he is going to take a lazy swing with his scimitar, obviously tired out.

Attack Defensively: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 14Probably a miss, but at least I get my AC bonus.

Liberty's Edge

Thadd is going down he'll do so swinging.

Power Attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (20) + 8 = 28, Damage: 2d8 + 9 ⇒ (6, 1) + 9 = 16
Confirm: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 27, Damage: 2d8 + 9 ⇒ (4, 5) + 9 = 18

Thadd will take a five foot step backwards.

Kyra touches Thaddaeus as he steps back while making a prayer to Serenrae. Most of the giant human wounds disappear divinely!

That's all I need to blink into the back corner of the room, as Dimensional Slide takes 5' of my movement. I just have to see where I want to end up to be able to make the jump.

Malus takes some quick strides towards the corner of the hold, and pauses to whip his head over and stare into the cabin. Happening so fast you nearly miss it, a tear of pure darkness appears and swallows him.

Thinking the worst, any worries are allayed as you recognize a voice chanting from the back of the cabin, behind the captain.

Spellcraft DC 14:

Daze against the pirate captain, Will vs DC 14 or lose next turn.

Meanwhile, a fluttering a wings precedes the eagles taking up positions of vigilance about the hold, keenly watching for any further aggression.

Abovedeck, Iason sighs at the sound of renewed yelling and fighting from down below. "Now what?" he sighs as he leaves the stabilized gunman behind, and wanders over to the stairs that lead down to the hold.

Double-move to the stairs down for Iason.

Etrigan perks up: more fighting? He leaves the bound half-orc without a second glance, scampering over, darting between Thaddeus's giant legs until he can stand before the woman.

Might provoke an attack of opportunity when he exits Thaddeus's square; at GM discretion as to whether the the doorway provides cover and thus negates the AoO. If AoO goes off, it'd be against Etrigan's squeezing AC of 23.

Etrigan debates as to whether his orders to subdue still stand. Siiigh. Probably. Iason never lets him have any fun. So he only goes for a nibble on Wardak.

Bite, non lethal: 1d20 + 9 - 4 ⇒ (17) + 9 - 4 = 22
Damage, non lethal: 1d6 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6

A bit is better than nothing at all, it seems.

For the Glory of the Veskarium! Docking Bay 3-3

As the Pathfinders move into action, Thaddaeus' giant swing decimates the captain and the wooden walls providing her cover!

Out of Combat!

The captain falls to the deck bleeding from a massive slash across the chest!

This room serves as the private quarters for Captain Wardak, and it contains an uncomfortable bed, a desk, a small chest, and a brazier bolted to the floor. Both of the room’s doors are locked. The Captain has the key, as well as the key for the slave's manacles.

Loot:
potion of cure moderate wounds, potion of cure
serious wounds, potion of invisibility, alchemist’s fire (3), tanglefoot bags (2); Other Gear +1 studded leather, mwk kukris (2), key to the manacles, pair of emerald earrings (75 gp), pair of gold earrings (20 gp), 54 gp

The brazier is stuffed with papers which are currently burning, and could quite easily catch the surrounding area on fire if not tended to!

Koemi shackles the captain and then heals her, so she will survive.

CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

It would have sufficed to knock her out, not split her in half. We can question her and bring her to justice in the city.

Not sure exactly where it is, you can move me into position if you would like.
