I'm actually going to bed right this second but just wanted to stick my head in and throw something out before I post with Conan:
I have a druid 11, a witch 10, and a cleric 10; since I feel assuaged on the whole "a caster isn't going to be dead useless the whole game" front, I'd be happy to bring one of them if we feel we need some more support, since we're pretty light on that as the current roster stands. I don't think any of those would affect APL significantly?
I'm also happy to play Conan too, I'm just pointing out that we're a team heavy on the hits right now, and not so much on the control/buffs/debuffs, with a few exceptions.
And GM Alias, if you'd prefer I just stick with what I signed up with to save you any headache, just say so.

Dotting. I'll get her actual character details up some time over the holiday weekend, but she's a Cavalier 1/Nature Oracle 8/Mammoth Rider 1 with a greatsword. So she's got some buffs and support, but focuses on melee.
Dien, as a Mammoth Rider, I would love you forever if you brought a level 11 Druid, and loaded my huge celestial megaloceros up with those sweet, sweet druid buffs! Animal Growth + Strong Jaw FTW!

Dien, if we are playing up, I'd love if you brought one of those powerful casters to the party. I'm afraid Ru is a touch underpowered, so any extra oomph to pick up my load would be appreciated!

Okay, I'll probably bring my druid then. She at least has a decent ac if her spells do get nerfed, ha. I'm out of the house right now, stuck using my phone, but I'll post when I get home, should be in the next few hours.
Heh, 11 levels and I've successfully avoided casting any animal spells ;) Now is the time!

Oh, I just now noticed that Magna is actually on her very last charge of her trusty CLW wand. I'll mark off the gold to purchase a new one.
Unrelatedly: Magna has tremorsense 20' due to her boots, so that's something annoying for the GM to have keep in mind should invisible things try to sneak up on us, etc.

Should be up to date now.
A couple of things to note:
Her greatsword has heightened continual flame cast on it. That's 4th-level, CL 10, and because of my Divine Warrior trait, that gives me a permanent +1 damage with that weapon.
I can also hand out light and reinforce armaments for other people's weapons, which will give a +1 trait bonus to damage for as long as the spell lasts.
My huge mount has Greater Overrun, so if I successfully knock someone prone, everyone riding will get an AoO.
Magna, I don't really need strong jaw, but animal growth would be great for my Overrun schtick. But keep in mind my mount has SR, so casting in combat is a little iffy.

Ah, alrighty, if you don't need the strong jaw, I'll probably throw a different level 4 in its place. eta: Memorizing Life Bubble instead.
Duly noted re: the SR. I'm at a +13, so failing on a 1-3 of a d20 seems tolerable*, but I'll keep it in mind and try to cast it before combat when feasible.
*Of course I just guaranteed that's what will happen, should I need to roll it

Answering Bash's question in here:
Two of my favorite pricier items are the unfettered shirt and the Ring of Inner Fortitude (minor). Swarmbane clasp is a good one to keep on hand for a martial who doesn't have other ways of dealing with swarms-- just pop it on in an emergency. /my two cents.
eta Hey Bash, if you don't mind my asking: did you perhaps forget to allocate level up bonuses for stats or something? Your stats look like they're reflecting a 15 pt buy, or that at level 4 and 8 you didn't put in the points, or something. Would hate for you to be missing out on more of your con!

![]() |

Bash, for a shopping spree, I'd go for:
+2 weapon (6k)
+1 Amulet of Natural Armor (2k)
+1 Ring of Protection (2k)
Jingasa of the Fortunate Soldier (5k)
Cracked Pale Green Prism Ioun Stone (+1 to attacks) (4k)
Cracked Pale Green Prism Ioun Stone (+1 to saves) (4k)
Dusty Rose Prism Ioun Stone (5k)
Cracked Dusty Rose Prism Ioun Stone (500)
That's 28.5k for +4 AC, +2 to attacks, +1 to damage, +1 to initiative, and +1 to saves.
Also, you know that Furious Focus only works for when you're two-handing a weapon? I'd trade it out for Weapon Specialization, personally.

Purchases made and minor spell adjusted. Ready to go.
So we have 7 players plus an animal? Good thing for the large map scale. Otherwise could be crowed. :-)

![]() |

Hey Bash: As RDN pointed out earlier in this thread, you cannot use Furious Focus in conjunction with also using a shield. If you are getting your +5 AC from the shield, then you also need to include your -3 attack penalty.

![]() |

Okay, I am gonna redo, and take out Furious Fcus, but add in weapon Spec as I didn't realize it only worked with 2 handed attacks. I will have to retrain, as I took it when I first became a level 10. If someone could figure out what the cost would be, thank you in advance.
Shopping spree:
Since I just saw the post, I will refrain from making such back-logged shopping as I feel it not in the spirit in the game :)
But thank you very much for the list, as I intend to spend after this scenario.
Question: If I make my shield "animated", could I than use Furious Focus?

![]() |

Unless stated otherwise, retraining costs gp equal to 10 × your level × the number of days required to retrain.
Retraining a feat takes 5 days...
10 x 10 x 5 = 500 GP.
When utilizing these retraining rules, you must expend wealth as outlined in the Retraining section of Ultimate Campaign, as well as 1 Prestige Point per day of retraining since time between scenarios is undefined.
So 500 gold, 5 prestige.
No idea on a ruling for animated. *shrug* Looking at the enchantment, I'd say that should be a feasible usage of it-- with the caveat that it lasts 4 rounds at a time, etc, it's not a constantly-on ability.

![]() |

But still, 4 rounds on, 4 rounds off...rinse and repeat...right?
I very may keep Furious Focus...put animate on my shield and have more options in combat ??

Looks fine, dm. Many thanks again for running the game for us!
