Thanks so much for running the game for us, DM! It was a good one. I had a great time!

GM Alias |

You were awarded 550 gp for the scenario. You can spend up to that amount on supplies and equipment. You can also spend that on any magic items on the "always available" list, discussed on page 24 of the current PFS guide. At some point in the future, once you have accumulated 2,200 gp, you could spend that to buy a ring of feather falling, which is not on the "always available" list. You don't have to buy it, but it becomes an option.
In other words, aside from the "always available" list, a magic item has to appear on one of your character's chronicle sheets to buy it. You still have to spend the full amount in gold to make the purchase.
Hope that helps.

Thanks very much for running, GM Alias! And nice playing with you all.
Vires - the value of the items you find and the GP on your chronicle don't have a lot to do with each other. The basic idea is you turn in what you've found to the society and they pay you for the mission.
Also, if you find a particular item during a scenario, it will appear on your chronicle as something you can buy, not subject to the normal limitations of how expensive and item you can buy (which is determined by your number of Fame points).
Clear as mud, eh?
Edit: Ninja DM!

I think the deal is more like the Society doesn't pay you, but you're entitled to keep the loot, and you divvy it up evenly at the end, most of it presumably being sold for gold, but your character can elect to say, "I'll take that sucker as part of my share," sort of thing.
@DM: It may not have been reported, but I've got the Chronicle right here for another character (and that character bought and benefited from the ring of feather falling, too); sadly, the in-person group in my area was not terribly well-run while it lasted.

Do I get ANYTHING out of the Chronicle (like gold or something) if I've played before (and if so, you forgot to record my Day Job gold)?
