    @Venture T. --> In the future, if you use google slides instead of google drawings for your map pages, people with ipads will be able to access and move their own minis around. That is something that Milton is dealing with right now. I have an ipad as well, but also a PC and an android so it doesn't impact me like it does him and many other people. Just a suggestion.

    My fire wizard's last adventure was on the plane of water. Fire spells require caster level checks there, so I instead prepared mostly buff spells (bear's endurance, haste) and magic missile. Even then, usually a 6th level spell is a better option than an empowered 3rd level one IMHO.

    On to your actual question:
    I think as a pathfinder the creature's with energy resistance you are most likely to meet will be devils and demons. They might account for about half, with demons probably outweighing devils 3 to 1. It might just be the scenarios I have played but I think I have encountered more air elementals than the other three combined. I would be interested to know if this follows other's experiences and I think there is a whole thread on the topic of critter-type frequency.

    Demons have: immunity to electricity and poison.
    Resistance to acid 10, cold 10, and fire 10.
    Devils have: immunity to fire and poison.
    Resistance to acid 10, and cold 10.

    As for the scenario... most fire creatures have cold vulnerabilities.

    As you knew you were coming to the elemental plane of fire, am I ok retconning the purchase to before the scenario.

    Having the right spell for the right situation at the right time is often hard to do with spell prep and spells known limits, and metamagic energy rods offer greater flexibility.     My focus on metamagic for characters is usually for making spells last longer, have them be silent, or still, etc. Toppling is nice.

    There are spells that you might not think of making them last longer, but how about say Infernal Healing? By doubling its duration it heals for 20 hit points vice 10. Not bad, and the greater version will heal for 80 instead of 40.

    Intensified Spell is a phenomenal Metamagic Feat for some spells. It's ok for magic missile but how about for snowball, fireball, lightning bolt etc? Especially if you make that your spell assigned to the Magical Lineage trait.

    10d6 on a touch attack, with no save or SR on damage, and a possible round of being staggered? All for a 1st level spell slot on an Intensified snowball? Yes please!

    And that's why I mentioned you could use the mask and the rod together, or a different rod, like an empower or something like it.

    I just realized something that may be problematic.. is the Cinderfury Gorget the same as the Azer Jawbone?? We never asked for a description of the gorget or talked about what it was..

    Actually she goes before Sai, meaning the flank isn't in effect for Sai. (I didn't say anything as you still hit).

    SR: Milton(25) opens door, efreeti(7) is surprised, Sai(4) closes with efreeti,
    R1: Milton(25) casts spell closes with efreeti, efreeti(7) adjusts and attacks Sai, Sai(4) moves around efreeti.

    Though you (Sai) said you would provoke an AoO from the Efreeti, I assumed you did not want to also provoke from the drake. I also assumed you would not intentionally step into a position where you are flanked (between the drake and efreeti). Avoiding AoO and being flanked is something I assume for experienced Pathfinders. If I assumed incorrectly then Milton will have flanking in R2, but I will continue with my experienced Pathfinder assumption until corrected. :)

    No worries, it is just a minor retcon that will happen in the medium of PbP. :)

    Just checking in. I have committed to playing this character during the first Gameday session. We should be done by then, right (As I have no other character in range for that game)?

    Aye. We should be done in a week or 10 days. If we nerf Sai's attack the combats could last as much as three days!

    EDIT: If we want to speed it up, I could make a list of all the remaining (non-combat) checks, have Fendel double the DC everyone roll them & I can present everything narratively. :p

    How long has it been since we left the security complex, and then how long has it been since we started the combat here?

    Lets stick to the right side staircase and sweep the rooms above, right to left(counter clockwise) starting with rooms closest to the top of the stairs(marked "office").

    Normally I like to clear a place so nothing is behind me but if nothing has come out of either storage or the pool area on the ground floor then then they can wait till after we clear the top. We may still have the advantage of some sort of surprise and I would like to see if that works in our favor.

    We can hit the storage and pool on our way back down before we leave.

    Also I think maybe it is a good idea to spread the evidence around instead of just drop it all in one place. It may look strange and less believable if it is all gathered together. That really isn't Sai's forte but I imagine Fendel would know the best way to make it look "authentic".

    Thanks. Sai will use another charge of mage armor, another ki for barkskin, and cast resist fire again.
