There is a lot of demand for low level PFS games, so I've decided to open a DM Feral-like ongoing recruitment thread.
I will initially open three tables, and try to keep high-paced games going, opening new tables whenever the time comes up.
What I ask of players:
I'd like familiarity with the PFS rules (I ask that you've read the guide) - but I'm explicitly newbie-friendly. I'm aiming for a posting frequency of at least once per day - in practice I'll be posting more often, especially during my (GMT+1) evenings. I've spend a long enough time on the prime plane to realise that people have things called 'schedules', just try and let me know when something comes up, so I can adapt.
The game:
I'm hoping to get beyond the 'murder-hobo' type. Roleplaying is encouraged. I think PbP lends itself extremely well to exploring your character, as you have all the time as space act out your character (I particularly like the internal monologue bits that some people do). I like characters that have been built around story rather than optimisation.
The system:
I've put up a spreadsheet, where you can view current registration status. People can register their characters by posting as their character in this thread (please mention your preferences as well). One character per person, please (but you're free to switch the character around). I'm open to suggestions of modules, so please indicate which ones you're played, and which ones you'd like to play. As soon as a table opens up, I'll give a shout to the next players that are up, and give them a 24 hr cycle to respond. You can either (1) join the game (2) pass up, and keep your place or (3) not react, in which case you'll be put on hold until I hear from you. If you see an open slot on a table and an empty list below - go ahead, grab it!
The small print:
I will see how the system holds up in practice, so rules may change at some point. If there are any other GM that want to run a table linked to this list, let me know. Also, if any of you plan to run RotRL, RoW or some other AP - feel free to invite me ;-)
->The spreadsheet can be found under 'campaign info'

Shel is level three.
I also have a level three alchemist and two level two's (witch and inquisitor) currently parked, if the game skews lower level.
I'm open for any scenario I haven't run before. I see your post in the other thread, DM, and I've ran both Mists of Mwangi, and the Glass River Rescue. I haven't played any other 5th season scenarios, if you might be interested in another one. If not, I understand, and I'll just wait until someone opens up a table for one of those.

I am certainly interested, and I haven't played any Pathfinder module or scenario at all, so I'm up for whichever table works. That being said, I have a couple questions:
What are the character guidelines, as far as available races/classes, what level, and how many traits (if any)?
What does everybody mean when they write that they'll "dot" a thread? I've been on the Paizo boards for like, three days, so sorry if that's a silly question, but I've never seen that on any other forums I've been on.
Not really a question: I have no characters ready to go, but a number of concepts I can fall back on/I can come up with characters pretty fast, so that's not really a problem. However, I'm going to be busy the next couple of days, and might not have time to build a character right away, but will at least sign up on the spreadsheet with a name and class soon. But doing a 1+ posts per day shouldn't be a problem.

Right-o
@Shel: I've put you on the list. I can see some season fivers coming up next, so I'll keep you posted.
@owen: A good place to start is the 'guide to PFS online play', which is a free download (under Pathfinder Society -> player resources, iirc). The message boards have convenient features, one of them is 'dotting' a thread, by posting in it (which you just did, congratulations). Sometimes, people post nothing more than a dot (.), hence the name dotting. Since this is your first run, shall I put you up for first steps (which is a fun intro story especially aimed at first-time players)?

You should download the Guide to the Pathfinder Society. Someone else can link it for you, I'd imagine. That will answer all your character questions.
To 'dot' means to note your interest to the thread creator, even though you might not have time to reply immediately. It also reminds the person who posts the "dot" to follow back up, as this thread then literally has a dot or indicator beside it the next time you view it, indicating you have posted in it.

@Radnor: I'd very much love to play silent tide. I've got a lvl 1 sing-a-long bard ready to go.
Seems like you guys convinced me for Stolen Heir. I'll have to prep it first though (have played it, luckily), I'll set up a table for Fizzbeard, Capricornus, Rikas and Shel. I've got some boring travel hours on a plane on monday, so should be fine.
I'll make the spreadsheet generally editable, much easier that way.
@Shel: I'm not aiming for a particular tier. I've been running tier 1 modules so far, but it would be interesting to take it further. You all seem to have some experienced characters, so if you can find common ground on some other tier (you and Fizzbeard seem to be level 3, capricornus has a lvl 3 as well), that's fine with me. You got to help me out though: for in-between tier play, do I just scale the encounters a bit? That was never quite clear to me.

I have to reread this every time I start a game. It's not the most intuitive thing.
Starting with Season 4, scenarios are designed for six characters and contain instructions on how to adjust the scenario for four-character parties. When the APL of a table is between two subtiers (like APL 3 for a Tier 1-5 scenario), a party of four characters must play the lower tier without any adjustments for party size. A party of five to seven characters whose APL is between two subtiers must play the higher tier with the four-character adjustment.
So it looks like we have four level-three characters so we're playing low tier with no adjustments.

Thanks for the info. I found the organized play guide, but nothing specifically about online play. I'll read what I have and do some other research. I put myself down for a paladin (the group looks like it could use some muscle), though I might play a Divine Defender from the Advanced Player's Guide because that sounds pretty cool and kind of tanky. And of course I'm considering playing an Assimar because hey, go big or go home.

hey, owenstreet, this thread is a good guide if you're new to play by post.
I have this bookmarked already, thanks for reminding me!

bluedove |

Oh my, that's a lot of Tables! I'll be bringing a brand-spanking-new Bard that I will finish drawing up and post here shortly. I think I'd still prefer to run in Mists of , though I'm happy to be placed wherever most needed.
I have run In Service to Lore, both as player and GM, but none of the others yet.

Ok, here is my Alias for my newbie bard. I may be trying something kinda crazy, but I'm interested to see if a Bard can also support her party by negating attacks on them using the Bodyguard feat.
I may tweak skills or spells once I see what the party make-up is.
How soon will we be getting started? I'm keen to start soon and should have no troubles keeping the desired pace.

RyckyRych |

Oh rats, I've been talking to you as Xan-Tei in the MOTFF thread about a new game and didn't realize you started this one until just now. I'd have loved to get into The Stolen Heir with Endless Forms and Fruno the unintentional comic. I had bad timing it seems.
Of course, if The Stolen Heir is a higher level game I can't play anyway.

interested. I have:
Barb1/Alc3 "Hulk smash"
Gun1/Monk1 "drunken gramaton cleric"
ftr3/monk5 "impulsive martial artist"
barb1/bard1/magus1 "trade prince"
bloodrager1/cleric1/paladin2 "fallen angel"
cleric1/monk1 "support"
magus1/monk1 "staff fighter"
oracle1/sorcerer1 "blaster"
wizard1 "god wizard"
of the choice I would most like to play my oracle/sorcerer

OK, I obviously missed that glass river rescue is full. Please put me on the waiting list for any scenario that I haven't played. Full list of scenario's that I have played / am playing or GM'ed is in my main profile
Garret's profile has been updated. I also have several other PC's that could join a game, depending on party make-up.

DM Kludde |

I've added people that reported characters, but did not add them to the list
@Ryckyrych: I promised you a spot, so I made an exception to the four-players-per-table policy.
@Signboy77: I hope you're not upset about this. There will probably be another run of 5-04, there seems to be enough demand.
@Zalanda: I've put you on the list, and marked that you're in a game. I'll be trying those people that don't have a spot yet first, if you don't mind.
Looks like there's full tables, so I'll be setting up campaigns
Please confirm by posting in the relevant discussion thread:
Mists of Mwangi: cuatroespada, bluedove, countchocula, Jellyroll1970,
Glass River Rescue: Broken prince, Lord Zekk, Daway, magabeus
Other campaigns coming up during the course of the day.
