I'm very new to PFS, but looking into more schedule friendly games like this. The following is all the sessions for my current 1st tier fighter and all the session I've played (still waiting to apply 2-13.
Thanks in advance.
#1: Silent Tide
#2-13: Murder on the Throaty Mermaid
#3-05: Tide of Twilight
#3-09: The Quest for Perfection—Part I: The Edge of Heaven
#6–06: Hall of the Flesh Eaters

Although I should have probably said Tier 1-5
No, literally, if you have completed all of those scenarios, then you have 5 xp and are 1 xp away from level 3.

Yeah, I get I have a second level character. Five sessions out of the hundreds available is pretty new.
Been playing a bit of the other game-that-should-not-be-named, so the nomenclature was off.
Ok, gotcha. We try to be as helpful as possible around here to new players, so when we see something that's off, we try and make sure the person knows right away.

It also varies from scenario to scenario. Some scenarios work well in PbP, while others feature sequences that are difficult to play out in PbP: those can take a little longer. But they are also the exception, in my experience so far.

I once made an overview of the time my games have taken in the past. It's not completely up to date, but it should give you an idea.
These are only statistics for my own games, and include some module levels (the Emerald Spire, notably), which tend to take a bit longer (or, in the case of one particular level, shorter).

Kludde, I just discovered that if you use Google Slides instead of Google Drawings, mobile users that can install the Slides app can move their tokens from that app.

Great tip, I'll look into it once I've returned to normalcy.
I've returned from my trip, and I'm slowly picking up the pace again, so I'll set up a thread for the overflow archives soon. There's a lot of interest again, so I'll see if I can set up a double table.
There's still spots for Destiny, even after Haro has inscribed. I've moved back the starting date slightly, though.

Hey Kludde, quick question. Do you think you'd be willing to run a table of The Confirmation with only new Vigilante PCs? I think it would be fun to see what everyone comes up with and see how they work in the wild. I would even offer to bite the bullet and be the Zealot Vigilante (which from what I'm reading is significantly weaker than all the others).

Are you kidding? The zealot looks very promising.
*would even offer to take that on, too*
But any vigilante, because that way can get one locked in.
I'd run it, but with work right now it's not feasible, plus it'd be my first PbP and probably not a good idea.

I dunno, the Zealot seems like a weaker version of the Inquisitor to me. I don't see much that an Inquisitor couldn't do there, and if you want full 6th-level casting you're using up 5 of your talents. Am I missing anything?

I am in an all Vigilante game of the confirmation, and there isn't a single player in it who believes we can actually complete it. Every version of the vigilante feels weak and watered down, so much so that we have started comparing our characters to what they could be if we were running a different class.
The vigilante is a great concept, but it needs a lot of work before it will feel on par with what it needs to be.

Sounds like fun to run. I've created a sign-up spot of the all-vigilante confirmation on the list, and I've reserved spots for Mr. Beck, Mr. H and Mr. Tengu (not sure if Mr. Wei wanted a spot)
Yes Sir! Thank you Sir!
Let me get a vigilante aligned! Will have character up within 24 hours!

And the gameplay thread for the Overflow Archives in here (link).
Hoping to see:
Jaquilin Leroung 1st level Wizard
StephNyan
ShadowKhan
Ragnar Skarr (badslacker)
Kaylee (Cartmanbeck)
Merck (characters in lvls 3-5)

Oh what the heck. Sign me up too for all vigilante Confirmation! I will have a character finalized by the end of the day.
I am withdrawing my request. I'm having a hard time understanding the benefits of the vigilante class. It seems to be a watered-down version of various bard archetypes.

On an all-vigilante table, everybody will be at the same disadvantage. Compare it to running a module with a 15 point buy....

Hey Kludde, I'm new to your PFS recruitment thread and wanted to check in with you before I sign my name onto the Destiny of the Sands group. Is there anything specific I need to do before I sign up? I read over your initial recruitment post, but I just don't have the time right this second to pour through 26 pages to ensure I didn't miss something new! Thanks!
I would like to bring along Alek my human hunter if that's okay?
DM Kludde |
Sounds like you're all set. Just sign your name in any empty spot. Some people find it useful to leave a message in the gameplay thread, so as to make this thread show up in their 'my campaigns' tab. Other than that: as long as you have a character in the right level range by the time we start (Alek seems fine), you're good to go!

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly! I will get my name added to the list. Iay make a few purchases before we get started and let you know. That way you can look over it all before we start.

If any of you are interested: I'll be running Bonekeep (level I) as an online game on sunday (2pm edt), as part of APcon (Bonekeep as a PbP is not allowed).
Sign-ups on warhorse are closed, but you can still register (or at least voice your interest) in this thread (url)
