At this stage it's looking like we'll be slitting in to two groups, one doing the earlier seasons and another doing the later seasons or core.

Feel free to join the discussion in the new thread, the link is in my earlier post.

I've scheduled a game of 'The overflow Archives' to start on the 5th of June. Since I'll be leaving on holiday soon, I'd like to postpone that start a bit, most likely by one or two weeks.

Ready when you are! ;)

Enjoy your holiday, Kludde!

Works for me :-) ... enjoy your free time.

Grand Lodge

Fine for me, I'll hang around in this thread...

Silver Crusade

Hmm just getting into PFS PBP so it seems any free spots are to high level. Wonder if there is a thread with links to all the recruitment google sheets/threads.

Grand Lodge

I'm very new to PFS, but looking into more schedule friendly games like this. The following is all the sessions for my current 1st tier fighter and all the session I've played (still waiting to apply 2-13.

Thanks in advance.

Sessions:

#1: Silent Tide
#2-13: Murder on the Throaty Mermaid
#3-05: Tide of Twilight
#3-09: The Quest for Perfection—Part I: The Edge of Heaven
#6–06: Hall of the Flesh Eaters

Shadow Lodge

Mate, if you played all those sessions you are already a second level character.

I'd hate to call 5 sessions with a fighter seasoned :)

Although I should have probably said Tier 1-5

No, literally, if you have completed all of those scenarios, then you have 5 xp and are 1 xp away from level 3.

Grand Lodge

Yeah, I get I have a second level character. Five sessions out of the hundreds available is pretty new.

Been playing a bit of the other game-that-should-not-be-named, so the nomenclature was off.

Ok, gotcha. We try to be as helpful as possible around here to new players, so when we see something that's off, we try and make sure the person knows right away.

:)

Grand Lodge

Hey, I appreciate it. I started second guessing myself there for a second :D

Thanks for the second, and third set of eyes

Grand Lodge

Haven't played a PbP before. I've heard normal games are quite long, how long is a PFS PbP game usually?

Liberty's Edge

Anywhere from a couple of weeks to a couple of months. It depends on the posting rate of the GM and the party, really.

Grand Lodge

They can take a couple of weeks to months, depending on the post rate. I think the longest for me was about a month so far, and I have seen some that took two weeks. I'm currently in a module which can last up to three months, if not longer, from what I read.

Pathfinder Adventure, Lost Omens, Rulebook, Starfinder Roleplaying Game Subscriber

It also varies from scenario to scenario. Some scenarios work well in PbP, while others feature sequences that are difficult to play out in PbP: those can take a little longer. But they are also the exception, in my experience so far.

I once made an overview of the time my games have taken in the past. It's not completely up to date, but it should give you an idea.

These are only statistics for my own games, and include some module levels (the Emerald Spire, notably), which tend to take a bit longer (or, in the case of one particular level, shorter).

Sovereign Court

If there is still room in the Destine of Sand 3, i'll like to joine.

Kludde, I just discovered that if you use Google Slides instead of Google Drawings, mobile users that can install the Slides app can move their tokens from that app.

Great tip, I'll look into it once I've returned to normalcy.

I've returned from my trip, and I'm slowly picking up the pace again, so I'll set up a thread for the overflow archives soon. There's a lot of interest again, so I'll see if I can set up a double table.

There's still spots for Destiny, even after Haro has inscribed. I've moved back the starting date slightly, though.

I'll be looking into draw vs slides too - just want to make sure it is as useful...!

DM Kludde, if there is still room in that Destiny/Sands 3 game I have a PC that played the first two some time back, I'd love to finish it out.

Grand Lodge

Kaylee is ready to explore the Overflow Archives whenever you're ready, Kludde! :)

Hey Kludde, quick question. Do you think you'd be willing to run a table of The Confirmation with only new Vigilante PCs? I think it would be fun to see what everyone comes up with and see how they work in the wild. I would even offer to bite the bullet and be the Zealot Vigilante (which from what I'm reading is significantly weaker than all the others).

Are you kidding? The zealot looks very promising.

*would even offer to take that on, too*

But any vigilante, because that way can get one locked in.

I'd run it, but with work right now it's not feasible, plus it'd be my first PbP and probably not a good idea.

I dunno, the Zealot seems like a weaker version of the Inquisitor to me. I don't see much that an Inquisitor couldn't do there, and if you want full 6th-level casting you're using up 5 of your talents. Am I missing anything?

Liberty's Edge

I am in an all Vigilante game of the confirmation, and there isn't a single player in it who believes we can actually complete it. Every version of the vigilante feels weak and watered down, so much so that we have started comparing our characters to what they could be if we were running a different class.

The vigilante is a great concept, but it needs a lot of work before it will feel on par with what it needs to be.

Grand Lodge

Master human race for vigilante! Just for the two feats at the beginning though, haha. Maybe the Avenger or Stalker could go with improved unarmed combat and improved grapple?

Sczarni

Welcome back Kludde! I'm eager to start playing a new game with you as GM.

Grand Lodge

Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Superscriber

I would love to try a vigilante...whole table would be interesting. Really need to take them through a couple levels to see though

I too would be interested in this!

Lets. Get. Dangerous.

Danger? Adventure?

A follower of the Master of Masters craves not these things.

However, such a follower (or their designated representative) would seek to learn. It's sort of a thing.

Sounds like fun to run. I've created a sign-up spot of the all-vigilante confirmation on the list, and I've reserved spots for Mr. Beck, Mr. H and Mr. Tengu (not sure if Mr. Wei wanted a spot)

Sovereign Court

I could give it a whirl ;-)

Yes Sir! Thank you Sir!

Let me get a vigilante aligned! Will have character up within 24 hours!

Grand Lodge

Oh what the heck. Sign me up too for all vigilante Confirmation! I will have a character finalized by the end of the day.

Dark Archive

Cool! All statted-up. =)

Sczarni

Ah, what the heck. Ill make a character tonight. This is going to be fun.

If you've signed up on the list for the Vigilante Confirmation, please proceed here (link) to dot in.

And the gameplay thread for the Overflow Archives in here (link).

Hoping to see:
Jaquilin Leroung 1st level Wizard
StephNyan
ShadowKhan
Ragnar Skarr (badslacker)
Kaylee (Cartmanbeck)
Merck (characters in lvls 3-5)

I am withdrawing my request. I'm having a hard time understanding the benefits of the vigilante class. It seems to be a watered-down version of various bard archetypes.

On an all-vigilante table, everybody will be at the same disadvantage. Compare it to running a module with a 15 point buy....

Hey Kludde, I'm new to your PFS recruitment thread and wanted to check in with you before I sign my name onto the Destiny of the Sands group. Is there anything specific I need to do before I sign up? I read over your initial recruitment post, but I just don't have the time right this second to pour through 26 pages to ensure I didn't miss something new! Thanks!

I would like to bring along Alek my human hunter if that's okay?

Sounds like you're all set. Just sign your name in any empty spot. Some people find it useful to leave a message in the gameplay thread, so as to make this thread show up in their 'my campaigns' tab. Other than that: as long as you have a character in the right level range by the time we start (Alek seems fine), you're good to go!

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly! I will get my name added to the list. Iay make a few purchases before we get started and let you know. That way you can look over it all before we start.

If any of you are interested: I'll be running Bonekeep (level I) as an online game on sunday (2pm edt), as part of APcon (Bonekeep as a PbP is not allowed).

Sign-ups on warhorse are closed, but you can still register (or at least voice your interest) in this thread (url)
