Cacumattus fire his crossbow at the raging badger, sending a bolt deep down into its fur. It's hard to judge whether the creature is more badly hurt than before, as the hairs are already glossy with a blood coating.
The badger ferociously attacks Scarlet, then steps aside to make room for his master. Cetenna then focuses all her might on Adrianna, placing three well-aimed knocks on the head.

Castien now has a clear shot at the badger, and his arrow bloodies the ferocious furry a bit more. Bones conjures up a spiritual sword, which hacks at Cetenna.
Adrianna is lying unconscious on the floor. She seems to be covered in some sticky, web-like substance, and after-effect of Cetenna's attacks.

I can't access the map since I'm posting from my phone. If there is a way Jalthas will delve into melee and attack (the macro is already set within the Macro spoiler of his character sheet), if he has access to Adrianna he'll use his CLW wand with UMD, else he'll remain in place and cast lead blades.

If Cetenna follows Scarlet back, Jalthas could 5' step across and attachk around a corner

DM Kludde |

Scarlet goes full bloodlust on the brawler that took out Adrianna, and sink a single claw deep into the woman's belly. This is enough to bring her to the floor, mortally wounded.
Jalthas, after the fall of Cetenna, steps in to threaten the Badger, and hacks down at it, bloodying the furry even further.

Scarlet drops back of of her enraged state and lets the party deal with the badger.

DM Kludde |

The spiritual dagger stabs the badger in the heart, and the twitching creature receives a death blow from Jalthas, leaving a lifeless - and in its bloody state, worthless - pelt on the floor.
Combat over
The woman, in her dying breath, says Zurnzal will kill you this...
With the death of the woman, the rest of the complex can be explored unopposed. At the very back, some storerooms contain barrels and boxes. Hidden in one of the rooms is a tunnel that leads to Guaril's exit.
Finally, there's a room with more interesting content: two desks facing each other occupy the center of this room; each covered with stacks of reports, maps, and other pieces of paperwork. A large map of Nirmathas hangs from the north wall.
The paperwork in the room provides enough evidence to implicate Zurnzal—and a 'MG'—in the theft of Guaril Karela’s goods, as well as in the rumor campaign against the Pathfinder Society in Tamran. There is a thick bundle of bloodstained notes - faction missions written by Guaril, and at it seems taken by force from Szarni faction members.
Two pieces of paper are of particular interest. (See handouts)
That's the end of this adventure. I'll create chronicles and report later today. Please roll any day jobs you might not have rolled already and report them in the table on the handout. As for the next scenario... I have to check what I have on my harddrive, because downloading a new one is out of the question right now :-/. Thanks you all for playing!

good pointer on the Day job!
Day job 1d20 + 10 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 10 + 5 = 35
Sleight of hand (unarmoured!) + Entrepreneur boon.
Scarlet reads the notes "A very black conspiracy here, glad we have put an end to it. Come on Poppy, our work is not yet done. 'MG' must be found..."

DM Kludde |

When the party resurfaces, Guaril is still waiting. Good, good he says when the party reports of the defeat of Cetenna, now my shipments can flow freely again.
When 'MG' is mentioned, Guaril strokes his moustache Madreki Gael is involved. He says, and after a silence, Listen, with my vast knowledge of the Gael family, I'm the person best suited to track down Madreki and this Zurnzal. I'll have to keep some of that information, and you must not disclose any of these documents to the Ashfall Lodge. I will need this for my investigation, but I promise I will share enough information with the Venture Captain to allow her to exonerate the Society.
You have a choice to make: do you hand over the information to Guaril Karela, and allow him to pursue his own agenda, or do you hand the information to VC Tolal, so she can clear the name of the Society in Tamran?

![]() |

"Godfather, of course I vote to give you the information" Scarlet replies with due deference to her faction leader.

![]() |

(I'm going to go out on a very thick limb and assume the group stabilizes Adrianna and helps her out of the area =)
Day job - Profession (herbalist): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 14
If the information we get to keep will help exonerate the pathfinders, Adrianna is ok with keeping the identity of the MK withdrawn and letting Guaril find him on his own...

![]() |

Yeah I assume we are charitable enough to have done that :p

![]() |

No day job here
Castien remains silent, loyalty to his former faction conflicting with his comrades' loyalties.

![]() |

"I do not mind you keeping the information for yourself, Guaril, but I expect two things in return. The first is that the Pathfinder Society is fully exonerated here. The second is that you remember us as your close friends and allies, and that you won't mind helping us back when the time comes."

DM Kludde |

I knew you would understand, Guaril says, and of course, I will make sure the Venture-Capatain gets enough information. Exoneration of the Society is also in my best interests here.
In the aftermath, the pathfinders learn that Guaril has supplied just enough information to clear the Pathfinder Society’s name. The people of Tamran mostly blame Molthune, but a few remain suspicious of the Society...
