Bruce once again examines the door meticulously, then opens it. There's a short, rubble-choked hallway that turns right after a brief distance. He immediately notices a pit trap about ten feet away from him.

Thistle watches Bruce expertly deal with the pit trap, close enough to lend a hand in case the agile man flirts with falling into the hole.

When that is complete, he follows the group as they prepare to move to another room, knowing that with the area they have covered, the devil they expect to face must be close.

Looks like the way down. Lets make sure we scout the next area sufficiently so we can buff before going in.

Yes, I think we should go back and investigate the middle section. I would like to be prepared should we have a demonic encounter. I'd like to scry ahead each section...I have a bunch of other uses of clairvoyance left. Maybe I could go ahead with Bruce and check things out before we turn any corners. I will also use my pearl of power to reclaim gravity bow, then cast it again.

Caranthir sees a chamber that has been extensively excavated into a giant, amorphously shaped cavern. The Emerald Spire runs through the center of this chamber. Numerous holes scar its surface, spiraling about the entire column. The damage appears superficial—no more than an inch or two deep in the surface—but a stronger glow from within the pillar leaks through the holes and cracks, casting emerald-colored beams about the room. Several of the holes appear to have been recently patched with brighter chips of emerald crystal.

There is a strange, barbed creature in this room, moving about, seemingly working on some kind of journal.

Thistle waves everyone close to him, standing at the center of a circle, surrounded by friends. He closes his eyes, focusing his divine power.

First, he releases a wave of glowing, white, positive energy to finish binding the wounds of any of his companions, including himself.

Channel, heal: 4d6 ⇒ (5, 3, 4, 3) = 15

If any of you have any damage, please roll your clw wand if you have one, or let me know if you don't so we can go in with everyone at full hp. Technically you would anyways because if you were damage, the life link would be draining from me.

Reaching out, he places his scaled hands on Jelani, casting freedom of movement. He then reaches over to touch Bruce, and casts the same spell again.

With that complete, he casts communal resist energy (fire), sharing the duration of the spell equally with everyone. 10 minute duration each, resist fire 20

Again he summons his divine powers, casting align weapon (good) on Jelani's massive earthbreaker, and again on Caranthir's quiver of arrows. pick 50 arrows that are now also aligned as good arrows

Finally, he looks to each of them to make sure they are ready, and just before they open the door, he casts communal protection from evil. 8 minute duration, divided by the 7 of us, so essentially 1 minute each

"May the gods look upon us with divine favor."

Ok: Here is the list - please make sure you have your taglines updated so that DM Kludde isn't scrambling trying to figure stuff out.

While Thistle is casting his prep spells, Fellgrim moves over to Jelani to cast Ablative Barrier
which gives him +2 AC and the first 5 damage points of each attack are non-lethal.
This spell lasts for 8 hours or until discharged after converting 40 points to non-lethal damage.

Just prior to entering the chamber, Fellgrim will cast Lightning Lash Bomb Admixture to alter the nature of his bombs for 8 rounds.

Though concerned about being on the front line without support, he ventures to probe the demon's defense, shooting a single arrow at the creature.

Unfortunately Fellgrim is unable to share his extracts with Jelani until he picks up the infusion discovery.

Alchemist extracts:
When an alchemist mixes an extract, he infuses the chemicals and reagents in the extract with magic siphoned from his own magical aura. An extract immediately becomes inert if it leaves the alchemist's possession, reactivating as soon as it returns to his keeping—an alchemist cannot normally pass out his extracts for allies to use (but see the “infusion” discovery below). An extract, once created, remains potent for 1 day before losing its magic, so an alchemist must re-prepare his extracts every day. Mixing an extract takes 1 minute of work—most alchemists prepare many extracts at the start of the day or just before going on an adventure, but it's not uncommon for an alchemist to keep some (or even all) of his daily extract slots open so that he can prepare extracts in the field as needed.

Before the group heads in to face their foe, Bruce drinks an extract of shield and expeditious retreat.

Sorry, I need to update my sheet; Fellgrim has the Infusion Discovery ... edit: Oh actually it was Infusion Mutagen

However, I am confused; the description indicates that the extract is for Fellgrim and it effects the creature touched? Isn't that what he did?

Edit: Ah ... so it is the shield that can only apply to Fellgrim ... didn't ready the extract close enough.

The Abaltive Barrier gets a bit tricky. The spell description lists creature touch, however extracts work as potions so I believe it functions like a potion of CLW. Even though that spell lists creature touched it only works on the person who drank the potion. From what I read this morning I think the only extracts that can be distributed through touch are communal spells. Because Bruce does not have infusion that is why he has not been sharing his buffs.

Did Bruce figure out anything about this demon from his earlier knowledge check? Like DR for example? Going with the cold iron weapon for now to keep things moving, but Bruce would use the most appropriate weapon he has.

Bruce uses his newly gained speed to rush into the room and around the pillar, drawing his cold iron short sword as he goes. He does his best to disrupt the spell casting by striking out with his blade.

Thistle smiles as he sees his friends confidently swarm the evil creature, and with a rare free moment, takes a second to call further upon the divine favor of the gods who smile on him.

Cast divine favor, probably won't even use it, but what the heck. I can't cast invisibility purge... yet... ;)

Asuna manages to sneak into the room, seeing the thorny devil battle with Jelani. Fellgrim moves into position as well. Thistle glows with energy, an anchor of healing in this perilous time.

The devil brings two flesh-rending claws down on Jelani, and tries to grab him in a strangle hold.

Yes, true, all manoeuvres to grapple fail against him.

Caranthir fires a number of arrow at the mistress, and the first two lodge themselves firmly between the barbs of the devil, causing a red ichor to drip out.

Even in his glowing, energy pulsing state, Thistle feels the surge of life go out through his link to Jelani. He bathes in his own glow for a moment before moving closer to the melee.

At the beginning of my turn, Jelani heals 5 damage while I take 5. Move action - use energy body ability to heal myself for 10 as rolled above. Standard action is to move a little bit closer to the melee. Partially as a note to myself, that means Jelani is down a total of 22 currently... I need to get closer!

By the way Fellgrim, you don't have the infusion discovery, so I didn't list any of the buffs you tried to give me. You should still have those extract slots. Infuse Mutagen is totally different. Also, just FYI, you can use personal target extractions as infusions if you get the discovery (i.e. Shield). AFAIK it's the only way in PFRPG to make a "potion" of personal range spells.

Thistle is a glowing source of healing, which radiates outward to Jelani, who takes his shield out.

Fellgrim decides to bomb the place, causing a big blast with the explosion. For some reason, the lightning does not seem to take hold of the devil.
