Is that a new dress Shilyn is wearing? I like the make of it... OH MY STARS! FOCUS! FOCUS! You just let 2 shots fly right past...
One thing I like, GM, and it is completely your call is to feel the "flavor" of the combat (I can't get enough of Amnur's "ROAAAANOOOOCK!!!') so I wonder how easy it is to cut and paste the flavor of each PC, or do we have permission to read them, at least?

![]() |

1d4 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
You can read my posts anytime. It does make it easier for the GM to summarize.

![]() |

You can read mine too, I don't mind. I enjoy writing a more narrative combat action, so someone may as well enjoy it (hopefully) :)

![]() |

same here, feel free to read my posts... I tend to post early when I can, and what I do might affect what others try... For example, this round I think we are all aiming at the seer lol

![]() |

Go ahead and read others actions; if they do something that may change your action, feel free to put a change of action notice (of course barring I beat you to the punch and post the round results). And of course absorb the flavor :)
Once again, giving Mylv a chance to make her own action and will be giving her until the end of the night; you should expect Round 2 results by tomorrow morning.

![]() |

Cool. Not wanting to cause trouble or anything, just wanting to see if it was okay to read each others' stuff.

Orion yells out "Anyone need help on the front lines? Or should I bow attack?". He then launches a pair of arrows at the Ancient Seer exclaiming, "Alright, now it's time for you to fall!". Both arrows go wild. Orion can only ponder Is that a new dress Shilyn is wearing? I like the make of it... OH MY STARS! FOCUS! FOCUS! You just let 2 shots fly right past...
Flori casts magic missile into the darkness! Err... Seer. It turns its head and hisses, "Noooooo!" before falling apart from the force of the magical bolt.
The Legionnaire once again slams its sword against Varian with a low groan.
Bronze Legionnaire @ Varian:: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24
Damage on hit: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10
Legionnaire crit confirm: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11
Damage on crit: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
Varian takes a heavy cut into his chest; while missing his lungs, the previous bite from the Seer is enough to render the oracle unconscious.
(Varian is at -3 HP). The former husk of a soldier then takes a step towards Amnur.
Despite his best efforts, a claw gets through Amnur's defenses, catching him in the face. Ignoring the pain, he finds himself fighting for control of his faculties, but centering himself he's able to fight off his bodies desire to cease movement, and readies himself to attack. Realizing the different natures of his foes, he tries to remember what he can about their weaknesses. He doesn't remember much, other than zombies should be cut. Repeatedly. Amnur decides to remain in place, giving Shi the distraction she needs to flank, but for himself to retaliate against the dangerous Legionnaire that just took down Varian, which he attempts, swinging the axe low at its thigh. The blow clangs off of its ancient half-plate armor.
Shilyn grips her mace a bit tighter as she takes a slight step to the side. Waiting until the undead thing is committed to attacking Amnur again, she takes a swing with her mace... and winces as the still unfamiliar weight of the weapon throws off her aim.
Varian lies on the ground in a pool of blood. (Need a Constitution check DC 13).
The Qadiran Warrior once again swings his scimitar at Shilyn, aiming to lop off her head.
Scimitar @ Shilyn: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
Damage on hit: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
The dashing rogue easily ducks under the blade.
Round 2 Recap:
Orion shoots seer twice, but misses.
Flori finishes off the Seer with a well-placed Magic Missile
Bronze Legionnaire drops Varian.
Amnur attacks Legionnaire but misses.
Shilyn attacks Qadiran Warrior of Old, but misses.
Varian needs a Con check to stabilize (DC 13).
Qadiran Warrior of Old attacks Shilyn, but misses.
Round 3 time! Pathfinders are GO!
Mylv, if you'd like to make an action, for round 2, I'll accept it, assuming you delayed down to the end.

Sorry guys, mid day church, just got out. Will post in 30 mins or so, have to make a visit to a member first.

![]() |

If you want to bot, orion will be stepping over varians body (to shield) and drawing on the run. If able he will attack too, but I can't pull up the map on my tablet to see how far away I am easily.

![]() |

Orion moves over to varian and steps over his body and braces himself. (Total defense)
We need someone here to heal immediately!! I have a wand in my pocket, but don't know how to use it.

![]() |

that's a wand in your pocket? ... darnit, I thought you were just happy to see me... lol

![]() |

Alright, there's 5 of you posting, will be going again. Also, I'm sorry my dice really hate you Varian. At least I haven't crit anyone so far...
Orion moves over to Varian and steps over his body, bracing himself for any incoming blows. "We need someone here to heal immediately!! I have a wand in my pocket, but don't know how to use it.", he yells out as he shields the aasimar, who is breathing steadily in his unconscious state.
Flori lobs a glob of acid at the Legionnaire, sizzling some of his rotting flesh.
Mylvwara follows up with a dart of acid, aimed at the weakened spot Flori exposed.
Acid Dart @ Legionnaire: 1d20 + 3 - 4 ⇒ (20) + 3 - 4 = 19
Damage on hit: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Crit confirm: 1d20 + 3 - 4 ⇒ (16) + 3 - 4 = 15
Damage on crit: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
The acid hits home, eating away much of the Legionnaire's undead chest cavity as the zombie finally disintegrates.
Amnur calls out to Orion, "Best get yerself in here! And somebody save Varian! We need that hammer!" and this time swings at the Qadiran Warrior. The blow cuts through its armor, but does minimal amount of damage in the empty cavity.
Shilyn catches Varian fall out of her peripheral vision, but is unable to step to his aid. Dancing aside, she tries to maneuver herself farther behind the undead facing Amnur before swinging her mace at its head. She lets out a string of expletives in Elvish as she, once again, fails to connect.
The skeleton continues its assault on the half-elf with its silvery scimitar.
Scimitar @ Shilyn: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
Damage on hit: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
Both of them continue their dance of wild swings.
Round 3 Recap:
Orion totally defends himself... from nothing.
Flori and Mylvwara's acid assault finishes off the Legionnaire.
Amnur slightly damages the Qadiran skeleton.
Shilyn and the Qadiran skeleton both miss each other.
Round 4: Death of a Skeleton. Action!

She gives a little yell as she feels the mace strike something solid for a change. "Yes!"

![]() |

For Fun attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18
Amnur starts a monstrous swing at the last foe, sure this will will finally be a solid hit! Out of nowhere, Shi darts in with uncanny speed and demolishes the foe, leaving Amnur swinging at empty air. He spins with his own momentum, smashing his axe into the wall, sending wicked vibrations up his stout arms. "N-n-n-n-n-ice hit Shi." he growls when the vibrations finally cease. Belatedly realizing he's the most likely healer of the group, he strides quickly to Varians side, relieved the wounds have already begun clotting. Muttering a hurried prayer to Torag, he lays hands on Varian, letting the healing power of his deity flow into his fallen friend. Lay on Hands: 1d6 ⇒ 3
Having exhausted the healing powers granted him by Torag, he turns sheepishly to the group, "Does anyone have any of those magic healy-sticks? I'm not too great at this sort of thing..."

![]() |

Now stable and at 0 hit points, Varian begins to stir... moans softly in pain. His eyes flutter open and he looks at the others blankly, still a bit stunned by the ferociousness of the undead attack.
"Thank you... I guess I got knocked out, eh? That was an awesome battle til I fell." He rotates his head a little, sees all the foes down and smiles slightly. "Seems like you all took them down handily."

![]() |

While Amnur ministers healing to Varian, Shilyn hangs her mace back on her belt and begins checking the twice dead corpses for anything that is possibly worth liberating.

![]() |

Amnur gingerly takes the wand from Orion, "Thank you sir." and turns to the recovering Varian. "Now just hold still.", he says, holding the wand more like a blade than a fragile magic device, and proceeds to bonk Varian lightly on the head. Each bonk sending healing magic into the Oracle til he's fully healed.
Wand CLW #1: 1d8 ⇒ 6
Wand CLW #2: 1d8 ⇒ 8
Finishing when Varian appears whole, he looks happily at the wand, looking rather proud of himself, and hands it back to Orion. [b]"That sure comes in handy, don't it? Let's check out the rest of the room"[b], and walks cautiously back to the rear portion of the room they'd yet to explore.

![]() |

As I noted in the other thread, GM whoops is that Stonelords cannot cast spells, and thus cannot use wands. In this case, though, since Amnur did bring Varian to 0 HP, Varian could use the wand to heal himself (and without taking HP damage because he's at positive HP at that point). OTherwise, everything is at it was.
Shilyn, please give me a Perception check and an Appraise check as you loot the bodies!

![]() |

Varian uses the wand to heal himself (using Amnur's rolls if that's okay, since they've already been rolled). When he's finished, he hands the wand back to Orion with a smile and a hearty "Thank you, Orion, I feel much better now."
He stands and flexes his limbs a little to test and assure he is indeed at full hp.
Then he assists the others in searching the bodies and the room.
GM - you know what I'm looking for - based on the pm you sent me - so searching for that specifically, while others seem to be looking for 'loot' in general.

1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14
well, crap, that wasn't very good

![]() |

Not sure if you wanted a single or multiple rolls, so I gave multipe

Orion keeps his eyes around for any masks, and also is interested in anything the bodies may have on them.
you know, we need to do a better job of helping those the fall. I was taught to always help those that fall first and then take care of the enemies later. Strength in numbers, you know?

![]() |

He nods at Varian, receiving the wand in his possession.
That is what it is there for.I hope that you would all do the same for me. Maybe a little quicker, might I add. he looks around at the group in a somewhat accusatory fashion.

percep check: 1d20 ⇒ 17

The only thing of note on the seer is a scarab necklace. It shakes as if there's something inside of it, but you cannot find the mechanism to open the scarab (soooo close on the Percep, but if you can get someone else to help... ;). You do note there's some old writing on the back of it, but you do not recognize the language.
There are no masks among the items, only headdresses and warhelms. However, you do notice that out of the 5 bodies propped up into displays, only 1 of them did not attack you. On the mudwrapped body, a jade-encrusted kukri with an ivory handle catches your eye.
My bad, I meant to ask for only 1 Percep and 1 Appraise to save some time, but since you did them all...
Legionnaire: The only thing of note is the bronze half-plate that is still incredibly durable despite its age. It's not masterwork, but wholly useable for any in the party who would dare to wear such ancient, heavy armor.
Seer: Varian grabs the only thing of interest, a scarab necklace that he fondles and shakes with a somewhat confused look on his face as he looks at the back of it.
Proto-Kellid Warchief: The mammoth tusk it was using as a weapon is the equivalent of a masterwork ivory greatclub (320gp)
Qadiran Warlord: The scimitar it was swinging at you is masterfully made and made of reinforced silver alloy (masterwork alchemically silvered scimitar).

![]() |

Is there any better armor? Orions is not great...

![]() |

Varian takes the scarab from the seer, shakes it gently, listening as he does so. Then he looks to the others, and asks, "There's some writing on this.. can anyone here read it?"
perception, listening: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16
perception, searching display if nec.: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15

![]() |

"Orion, check out this bronze stuff. It looks great considering its age. It may be useful for you," Shilyn says in answer to Orion's question. "Also, the tusk is worth something as well as that scimitar, which appears to be made with silver and excellent craftsmanship."

![]() |

Varian very gingerly unfolds the parchment to see if it is what he's looking for. if he confirms it is the will, he slips the parchment very carefully into a compartment of his pack, unwilling to take the scarab itself from the museum. He doesn't want to be accused of stealing from the place.

![]() |

Hm, that armor is probably pretty expensive. I say we at least keep it if no one else wants to wear it. It is too bulky for me, though. I am afraid that I wouldn't be able to shoot very well with it on... See how it doesn't allow for range of motion here? he rolls the shoulder around in a drawing motion.

![]() |

Is the kukri the same thing as the scimitar Shilyn is referring to?

![]() |

Your initial assumption is that this would be the document you are looking for; however, without someone who could read (or attempt to read) ancient Osiriani, you cannot confirm it.
