Meh, you're safely in the back. :) Just to be clear and so people aren't waiting on me. Feel free to post your Round 1 actions. Init order etc... is on the last page. Oriandor is not listed, but he's at the bottom of the init order. Gooo team!

Init Round 1
Skeleton1
Flori
Skeleton3
Shilyn
Skeleton6
Skeleton5
Mylvwara
Varian
Amnur
Skeleton2
Skeleton4
For reference.
Flori will hit the closest meleer with her touch of rage. +1 to hit and damage for one round.

![]() |

Varian, seeing that Amnur seems to have things well in hand, delays action for now.

![]() |

by well in hand, I meant able to deal out enough damage to shatter all these skeletons... I'm here with cure lights when you get damaged.

![]() |

sorry, at work with very limited net access.. tried using my droid, had a response typed, hit something wrong and deleted the entire thing.. ugh
Seeing the emerging skeletons, Shilyn remembers the words of the old adventurer, "If it's boney.. smash it" and unhooks her mace from her belt and prepares to smash the things into small pieces..
attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7

Brayden Green |

Orion pops out and starts swinging with his two swords... ermmmm... nevermind ;) Thanks "temp GM" you are doing a wonderful job. Everyone here is much less sick, except for me (ha ha). That's what I get for picking up the slack. I am hoping that I now get to rest soon, and turn my faucet nose from on to off. Wife is fine, taking anti biotics and fever is pretty much non-existent now. Baby is sleeping again. thanks again everyone. Amnur, drinks are on me.
ps, I liked the visual of 15 of each copied Varian and Flori squares hiding behind the map. lol. :) In the future if that ever happens just click your square and hit "CTRL + SHIFT + "Up arrow" and it will move it to the topmost thing in order. But Paizo is doing a VTT and getting it done soon, so hopefully we won't have to screw around with Google Docs much longer. HUZZAH!!!

![]() |

Perturbed by these sudden skeletons, I unleash one of my remaining darts.
touch attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15
damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
Really, no rest before the next part kicks in? I am all out of spells. So out of spells that I have already picked my spells for next time I get to rest.

![]() |

I don't think anyone would be opposed to a tactical retreat... should Mylvie request one. I don't know what the demon-apes have in store, but if someone needs a rest, just say so. :) Amnur's mind reading and ally spell-tracking skills are somewhat lacking... he's a pretty rude dwarf.

![]() |

There should have been a rest between scenarios; the journey to the site was noted to be 80 miles; even on horseback at full speed that would take at least 2 days.

![]() |

I agree with Oriandor, can we confirm/deny that there was time to rest during the journey GM? Also, did I misunderstand you were taking back the reins Brayden? I'll continue the combat if you'd like, but from your last post I thought you were starting back up.

Brayden Green |

Yes, there was a rest in between scenarios.
I feel good enough to take back over now. I did not mean that at the time, sorry for the confusion. I feel 100 times better now.
Let's go crazy on this thing. All your spells and abilities are replenished.

Brayden Green |

Round 1 results.
The skeleton next to Amnur shatters.
A few more skeletons "come out" of the recesses that weren't previously seen. (heard but not in sight yet).
A few attack but their attacks bounce of the armor.
I'd like to be done with this combat by the end of today at the latest.
Init Round 2
Flori
Skeleton3
Shilyn
Skeleton6
Skeleton5
Mylvwara
Varian
Amnur
Skeleton2
Skeleton4
Round 2 in non spoiler. Ready set go.

![]() |

Noooo I'm Initiativeless... I'll assume it's 1000 instead of the 7 I got :P
Oriandor moves up while channeling arcane energy into his cestus and leads with a haymaker while shouting, "I hope you're thirsty bonehead, 'cause here's some punch!"
Arcane Pool-enhanced cestus attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16
Damage: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6

![]() |

Seeing how many of the skeletons are attacking, Varian moves forward if there's room to get in and melee a skeleton, extending an earthbreaker from his hands as he moves (swift action for iron weapon revelation),
any chance of getting a hit this round?

Brayden Green |

Sure Vari, try your luck.

![]() |

to hit: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14
dmg if hits: 2d6 + 2 ⇒ (6, 6) + 2 = 14

![]() |

Glad you're back B.
Amnur has to repress a very un-dwarf-like giggle as the first skeleton he swung at shatters into bits. He turns toward the other skeletons on approach, "Common you miserable wenches!" stepping forward (5' step if needed) and swings two-handed at the next skeleton in line with a grunt.
Attack&Damage: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 121d10 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10 Plus any bonuses?? (hopefully rage) :)

![]() |

sorry for the delay.. no net access at work and I get home only to be pinged by work.. ugh
Shilyn continues to dance among the skeletons, her feet treading carefully trying to avoid their swipes while looking for an opening with her mace. A full-handed swing toward the head of one..
attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19
damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
is promptly greeted with a crunch. "I'd say that had to hurt.. but.."

Brayden Green |

Four more dead. Just one left. Round 3.
I am stepping out in a bit to run PFS in real life for the night.
I will assume that you the 6 of you can kill one skeleton, and plan on picking up with the rest of the story later on tonight.

Brayden Green |

2 tables tonight. Booyeah. 3rd session at this new place and we are already at (2) four player tables. Maybe the coolest part about tonight, is that 6 of the players were 21 and under and 4 of them were age 16 or under! Go future generation of RPGs!

Brayden Green |

In the final/next room:
This fifteen-by-fifteen-foot room is constructed entirely of the
same smooth-white material seen on the sphere outside. A
single white pillar stretches floor-to-ceiling in the center of the
room, and inside a niche rests a smooth, white, hand-sized square "device"
covered in glyphs and runes similar to those on the complex’s
front door.

![]() |

Hooking her mace back to her belt, Shilyn cautiously approaches the white box. Her eyes gleam a bit at the thought of potential profit as she admires the runes and craftsmanship.
Giving her head a slight shake, she gets her thoughts together and lets her eyes and fingertips run over the column looking for anything amiss. "Let me check this before you all get grabby," she says with a laugh.
perception: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (10) + 11 = 21
"Ok, I think it's clear. Mylv, you or Ori should be safe to check out the box. Things with runes may look nice and bring a good price, but I don't trust them." A bit of uncertainty creeps in her voice hoping she didn't miss something.

![]() |

Varian lets the earthbreaker reabsorb back into his flesh over the next minute and observes the arcanists as they check out the runes.

Brayden Green |

Shi, you do a very thorough investigation and are fairly certain there are no traps.

Brayden Green |

that's fair. I have a slight distrust of familiar ones... let alone unfamiliar ones, lol. Especially when those unfamiliar ones have been left presumably undisturbed for the better part of a few millenia...

![]() |

I step forward and reach for my bag, almost going to sketch the box, before I remember that we're being adventurers.
Drawing closer, I mutter a few arcane phrases. As the colour of my eyes intensifies, I contemplate the box. Detect Magic sustained for three rounds unless interrrupted or nothing shows.
knowledge (arcana): 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (13) + 9 = 22
spellcraft: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (9) + 11 = 20

Brayden Green |

It is definitely magical, though you aren't sure what the purpose of it would be.
There is a faint magical aura coming from the device.

Brayden Green |

I said faint aura, and as far as what type of magic, it is ancient and you do not understand it in any way. It does not seem to be harmful in any way.

![]() |

Training is finally over! YAHOO!
Amur, watching the ongoing investigation of the strange white box, starts to slowly sidle closer and closer. He keeps running the tips of his fingers against his thumb, as it imagining what the box might feel like, and, more importantly, what might be inside! As Mylvi stops to stare at the thing and the second tick by for what seems like an eternity, Amnur starts to get impatient. By this time he's right next to Mylvie and eying the box with open anticipation. Picture a bunch of 6 year olds around a pinata.
"Shall I smash it open?" he asks hopefully, ready to mourn the beautiful boxes loss in order to get inside it. He hefts his heavy mace and waggles it about questioningly.
perception: 1d20 ⇒ 17 Plus any stone bonus's??>

![]() |

"THere are runes on it, so my guess would be smashing it would be a bad thing.'

![]() |

Amnur stops the enthusiastic weapon waggling and looks over at Varian, "Really?" and drops his arm with a deliberate sigh, "Well Myvlie's just been staring at it forever and those dainty bags'o'bones didn't even let me break a sweat!" He appeals to Myvli, "So can I open it or not? Does it even open? Can we take it at least?"
Gosh I want Amnur to grab it so badly!!! :)

Brayden Green |

I want you to grab it too... You've all spent 36 hours in a room, looking at a pillar and a box with runes on it... :D

![]() |

Hey, it is a very nice room I'll have you know!
Unless someone stops him, Amnur proceeds to reach out and pick up the incredible little box.
Aaaack!

Brayden Green |

Anyone want to stop him?

![]() |

Um.. I'm hiding behind Flori! hah *uses her half-elf hearing to detect maniacal DM laughter.. Oh wait.. there was not obligatory evil badguy monologue first.. so you're safe Amnur.. Unless Bray didn't ready the Evil Genius Handbook 157th Ed..
Shilyn's eyes widen as she watches Amnur grab the runed box. "I said no touching.. gah! If I die.. I swear I'll never talk to you again.." she mutters as her eyes dart around for someplace safe.

![]() |

I'm not going to do anything to stop Amnur for grabbing the big shiny red button or equivalent thereof. :P
Looking at the glassy-eyed dwarf, almost drooling with anticipation as he stares at the relic, Oriandor rolls his eyes and shouts, "Oh just grab the damned thing already and lets get outta here! The others are probably knee deep in demon monkeys by now and'll need your hard head!"
