Can someone roll an action for Kett
Another missile slams into the champion, but it just glares at Birseko.
will: 1d20 ⇒ 13
Status, bold may post
Kett 10 damage. 3 temporary hp
Skeletons
yellow - 8 damage
Durlo - guidance
Esper implanted psuchosomatic surge (1d8+1 tmp hp)
Birseko
Magrat may act twice.
Magrat Garlic |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |
Kettbot moves about the battlefield like a dancer, which is a shame because the party needs a warrior. Yet he still connects with the hammer end of his weapon-thingie.
attack; +1 Large Silver Taiaha: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 24
damage; +1 Large Silver Taiaha: 2d8 + 8 ⇒ (7, 4) + 8 = 19
attack with hammer end.
Esper Zevral |
That is the best botting I've ever read.
Magrat Garlic |
Oh, if you think that is good, read this!
GM Aerondor |
Kett smashes the champion skeleton into shards. Ouch. That has to hurt.
The last skeleton makes a half hearted attempt to kill a pathfinder in revenge...
attacks: 2d20 ⇒ (11, 12) = 23
But fails miserably.

Kett 10 damage. 3 temporary hp
Durlo - guidance
Esper implanted psuchosomatic surge (1d8+1 tmp hp)
Birseko
Magrat
Skeleton
Kett, Raptorscale Scholar |
Kett swings again, focusing on the grace and balance inspired by the stretches earlier in the day.
attack; +1 Large Silver Taiaha:: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15
damage; +1 Large Silver Taiaha:: 2d8 + 8 ⇒ (8, 5) + 8 = 21
Thanks for the bot. Life has been dialed up to 11 the past 2 weeks.
Durlo Deadshield |
Durlo moves around the sarcophagi and bears down on the last skeleton.
"It's the end of you!"
mwk greatsword, power attack: 1d20 + 6 - 1 ⇒ (7) + 6 - 1 = 12
DMG: 2d6 + 7 ⇒ (6, 2) + 7 = 15
GM Aerondor |
This is obviously the real champion skeleton. The other must have been a fake. He deflects Durlo's hammer with monk-like mastery.
Esper Zevral |
Esper moves forward and swings her quarterstaff at the skeleton's skull.
Attack: 1d20 ⇒ 15
Bludgeoning Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 1
GM Aerondor |
Esper also finds her attack deflected by the Master Skeleton. Surely this is some last super terror left behind by the horrible worm-priest.

Birseko
Magrat
Skeleton
Kett 10 damage. 3 temporary hp
Durlo - guidance
Esper implanted psuchosomatic surge (1d8+1 tmp hp)
Birseko Naam |
Birseko launches another magic missile at the remaining skeleton.
Magic Missile: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
GM Aerondor |
The missile strikes unerringly into the chest of the skeleton. A rib falls off, and then another rib. It doesn't seem that bothered, as it still has 22 left.
Can someone suggest a move for Magrat
Status, bold may post
Magrat
Skeleton 2 damage
Kett 10 damage. 3 temporary hp
Durlo - guidance
Esper implanted psuchosomatic surge (1d8+1 tmp hp)
Birseko
GM Aerondor |
will: 1d20 ⇒ 5 As if being dead wasn't enough misfortune, the skeleton has to put up with Magrat glaring at it too.
It lashes out at the nearby pathfinders. It's first claw looks ready to take out Kett's throat, but, unluckily, it slips on a pool of blood. It's second attack it more in line, but misfortune plagues it, and Durlo manages a late parry just in time.
#1: 2d20 ⇒ (18, 1) = 19
atk#2: 2d20 ⇒ (15, 12) = 27

Kett 10 damage. 3 temporary hp
Durlo - guidance
Esper implanted psuchosomatic surge (1d8+1 tmp hp)
Birseko
Magrat
Skeleton 2 damage
Magrat Garlic |
She continues concentrating on bringing more misfortune to the undead creature. (Will DC 14).
"Granny Weatherwax always said I had a good squint."
Esper Zevral |
Esper tries to strike the skeleton again.
Attack: 1d20 ⇒ 2
Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 6
But a warrior, she is not...
Kett, Raptorscale Scholar |
"Stop moving bones! You are disrupting an archaeological site!"
attack; +1 Large Silver Taiaha: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 25
damage; +1 Large Silver Taiaha: 2d8 + 8 ⇒ (4, 3) + 8 = 15
GM Aerondor |
Finally, even the Master Skeleton(tm) cracks under the concerted effort of the pathfinders. Or maybe it is just the enchanted Taiaha in Kett's hand.
And then there is quiet. Deathly quiet. Surely too quiet. Or maybe it is just the quiet of a tomb. Well, it is a crypt, which for most purposes is close enough to a tomb. The team looks around.
Magrat Garlic |
perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19
"Oh, they just put this one here to cover a hole in the floor. Here, just squint like this. I told you this rug was a bit shoddy."
GM Aerondor |
It would be an escape artist check to get in. DC30 for a medium sized creatur, or 20 for a small...
Birseko Naam |
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (15) + 6 = 21
Birseko will cast Detect Magic into the hole, and also around the area.
Birseko Naam |
Birseko will cast light on a pebble and drop it into the crack so that they can see what might lie inside it.
If this reveals nothing, he will use his psychic Expanded Awareness ability to give himself the scent ability for 2 rounds and attempt to see if he detects anything by scent (after first casting Acute Senses on himself).
Perception, Acute Senses: 1d20 + 6 + 10 ⇒ (8) + 6 + 10 = 24
GM Aerondor |
Looking within you can see there are numerous shadowy nooks that are not able to be viewed. Something could possibly be hidden within...
Esper Zevral |
Esper smirks. "You'll pardon me for not sharing that sentiment, Magrat."
Knowing she can't possibly get into that crack, Esper leaves the hole alone and looks around the rest of the crypt.
She takes thorough notes on the crypt and the caskets, as per their mission requirements.
GM Aerondor |
The remaining worshipers are grateful and vow to spend their lives unraveling Korada’s teachings from Dakang’s perversions.
With no real way of getting into the gap, the pathifnder team starts to think about packing up. You continue to help out, finishing up the garden and the library. You spend a bit of time in the meditation chambers, and help work out some of the "Teachings" that were certainly not from Korada. Even the sarcophagi have rubbings taken of them.
Finally you make your way back to the hillside and the small globes of light. With a touch one by one you leave the temple and the tapestry, returning to the Grand Lodge.
Aram Zey is no longer waiting for you, but turns up quickly enough, obviously warned by some spell or ward of your return.
Durlo Deadshield |
"Anything could be down there: loose change, ants, small stones. If only I was powerful enough to turn one of you into a newt."
Durlo huffs and jabs a stubby finger toward Magrat, "You'll not be changing ME into anything! I can still feel that hex magic wriggling inside of me. I'll have bad dreams for weeks now because of it!"
Kett, Raptorscale Scholar |
Strength check to move the sarcophagus off the crack?
edit: Nevermind. Saw the chronicles.
Kett eagerly reports the groups findings and then signs up for some yoga classes in Absalom.

"That might just be parasites from all the meat you eat. Like I said, if you could see into your colon you would be horrified."
Once she's out, she waits until no one is looking, and gives the Hao Jin Tapestry a good beating with a rug-beater.
Birseko Naam |
Birseko spends the remainder of his time in the temple of Korada eagerly seeking some key to enlightenment, something that might help him unravel the mystery of his own identity. Alas, though the pathfinders return to Aram Zey with ample information for the chronicles, Birseko remains as uncertain as ever about who he is.
Note, for the purposes of his Amnesiac Spell ability, his level 1 spell "known" at the conclusion of the adventure is Color Spray.
