There's no mechanical effect, but Gravleon is exposed to more images of horror.
The holy symbols seem to writhe and slither in his hands (nobody else sees this), and Gravleon feels his ability to cast divine spells interrupted for a moment. It's as though something got between him and Sarenrae.
While holding the moldy spellbook, Gravleon can feel a POWERFUL presence underneath the prison.
When he touches the hammer, he has a momentary compulsion to attack the nearest creature. But, it passes.
When he touches the flute, blood begins running from his eyes and ears and fingertips. This, too, passes.
PFS CORE-G Sangre |
"these are truly horrid items we now have, after we are done with them we need to purify and destroy them" Gravleon gives a prayer to Sarenrae and is ready to continue
Blackheath |
Now that the cursed items are secure, Blackheath would like to quickly as the ghost of Vesorianna if she knows why someone might be writing her name in blood on the monument or if she was doing it as a cry for help.
PFS CORE-G Sangre |
"so should we go back to try and find out more about these op jets and Catch the vandal, or continue on. I feel we need to stop this vandal first before we can do more here for we could not be of help of the towns folk remove us from this town..."

PFS CORE-G Sangre |
well you are right Sarenrae we should finish looking around and check the last of the rooms on this floor...lol ok going to the room above S7
Sharien Oakfoot |
"Let's finish exploring this area first. We're already here, we may as well try to clear it out."
Sharien follows along to room S7, letting Gravleon do the honors of opening it.
PFS CORE-G Sangre |
yes with me caring all the evil on my back nothing bad could possibly happen lol
PFS CORE-G Sangre |
"oh well lets take a quick look around before we check the next room"
Gravleon said as he searched perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 21
GM Engleaktig |
Faria Perc: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20
Gravleon Perc: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (12) + 8 = 20
Grog Perc: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23
Poshment Perc: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14
Sharien Perc: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (19) + 0 = 19
Faria, Gravleon, and Groc notice something moving on the mound of clothes. The way it moves, it's almost as though a child or a small animal is somewhere underneath. (Pausing here to let some of the slower posters catch up.)
Blackheath |
Blackheath prepares to attack whatever it is should the creature move toward them offensively.
"Reveal yourself... slowly."
Faria Quorothe |
Faria snarls, clearly annoyed and spooked by the goings on. She calls upon Pharasma, unleashing a blast of undead-destroying holiness into the room, brows furrowed in cold fury.
Channel to harm undead (or haunts): 1d6 ⇒ 6
Faria Quorothe |
Just inside the door will be fine.
Faria's brow furrows as she turns to regard Blackheath and Gravleon as the movement continues. "Could this be another thing similar to your scythe?"
Blackheath |
Blackheath nods.
"You read my mind, Faria. I recommend leaving it. As long as it stays here, there doesn't seem to be a reason to waste our limited resources on it. We can just lock it in and mark the door."
PFS CORE-G Sangre |
"hmm, it could be that but we should at least get a look at it before we leave just in case we are wrong. Don't want anymore surprises than we already have. If I fall don't leave my body or the halfling's body here lest they try to use our body's to make undead"
So gravleon steps forward shield up full defence mode I think that adds +2 to my ac... and moves to were he least saw the movement

Essentially initiative rolls aren't needed here because this thing is "ready" for whoever approaches. Initiative order will be: it, then the party.
slam: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22, damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
grab: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22
A straighjacket rises up from the pile of clothing and slams Gravleon for 5 HP of damage. In the process, it wraps up the cleris of Sarenrae!
The party is up!
PFS CORE-G Sangre |
since it's made out of cloth that I cast my fire bolt on it and catch it on fire lol

Blackheath |
Blackheath attempts to wrestle the jacket off Gravleon.
Grapple: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19
"Let's hope the matching 'tie' doesn't try to strangle him!"
GM Engleaktig |
Some of the buckles, straps, and fasteners keep a hold of Gravleon. When Blackheath moves up, the arms take an attack of opportunity:
slam: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24, damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
Blackheath takes one on the chin as he comes in, suffering 3 HP of damage. He does succeed, however, in joining the grapple and taking control of it. He, Graveleon, and the object are all three in a grapple. You all have the grappled condition with Blackheath in control.
Blackheath |
"We can't attack it directly without injuring Gravleon."
Blackheath tries to see if he has any insight into possible weaknesses the jacket may have.
Knowledge: Arcana: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
Sharien Oakfoot |
Sharien, seeing Gravleon all wrapped up, casts grease on his armor, giving him a bonus to escape the grapple.
You get a +10 to Escape Artist or CMB checks to escape the grapple!
PFS CORE-G Sangre |
OK since I realized I'm at 8 hp I'll grapple to get out oh and at a +13 nice
grapple +3 cmb +10 spell: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (11) + 13 = 24

Faria Quorothe |
Seeing that Gravleon has escaped the straitjacket and that no one has weapons out yet, Faria calls upon Pharasma and summons a sharp slab of ice, sending it hurtling towards the jacket.
Ranged Touch: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
I think I might just stop trying in combat. :p
GM Engleaktig |
Faria's ice shard send the jacket on the retreat. Grog grabs it. Since it had already taken an attack of opportunity, he has it!
The jacket strikes back:
Slam minus grappled: 1d20 + 5 - 2 ⇒ (13) + 5 - 2 = 16, Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Slam minus grappled: 1d20 + 5 - 2 ⇒ (3) + 5 - 2 = 6, miss
Grog takes 5 HP of damage, but he has a firm grip on the writhing peice of cloth.
The party is up!
Sharien Oakfoot |
"Keep hold on it, Grog."
Sharien tosses an acid dart at the jacket, hoping to slowly unravel it with damage.
ranged touch: 1d20 + 3 - 4 ⇒ (10) + 3 - 4 = 9 Might still hit since it's grappled...
acid: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
PFS CORE-G Sangre |
"by the Everlight burn and be cleaned"
fire bolt range touch: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14
damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
O_o max damage
Blackheath |
Blackheath releases the grapple and draws his sword move action, imbues it with arcane power swift action and, with both hands firmly gripping the hilt, slices down at the jacket...
2-handed longsword + arcane strike: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (20) + 3 = 23
Chance to confirm crit: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5 Doesn't look like a confirmation there.
Damage: 1d8 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 3 + 1 = 9
Possible additional crit damage: 1d8 ⇒ 5
PFS CORE-G Sangre |
Wand CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
Wand CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
Gravleon takes out his wand heal himself
"well, that was one hell of a jacket...who else"
"blackheath i know you took a hit"
Wand CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6 42charges left
Blackheath |
Blackheath thanks Gravleon for the healing.
"I think the prison is using these annoying haunts to drain our resources. Avoiding a fight with some of these might be the best course of action until we have a better grip on the overall situation."
The bard examines the room...
Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11
Blackheath |
"Let's lock this room, mark the door, and leave it for a rainy day. Where to next?"
GM Engleaktig |
Since the party is nearby, let's do room S13.
This is an empty privy once used by the guards. Nothing of interest remains within today.
Now let's go to S14.
Several moldy cots lay strewn around this room, while doors to smaller, more private sleeping cells hang askew to the west. Judging from the rest of this room's decor, this must have once been the prison infirmary.
PFS CORE-G Sangre |
Gravleon looks around perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (18) + 8 = 26
[b]" Well if anything would have one of those haunt running around it would be this place

GM Engleaktig |
As soon as Sharien sets foot in the room, a wind picks up out of nowhere. Something coalesces up in the center of the room, becoming visible as a twisted, nearly skeletal ghost of a broken prisoner.
Blackheath Will Save: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9
Faria Will Save: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (11) + 7 = 18
Gravleon Will Save: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24
Grog Will Save: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (13) + 0 = 13
Poshment Will Save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18
Sharien Will Save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22
Grog and Blackheath are frightened. On their turn, they will run away for this many rounds: 1d4 ⇒ 3
The party may act!
