Tiberius Vorrack Kerrhylon |

Tiberius nods. He had guess correctly. I am Tiberius, a soldier turned holy warrior.
He silently watches the mission impossible escape attempt, and shakes his head before seeing the finish of it. He had seen far too many of those before. Though, it seemed a fitting end for one his kind.
That was foolish. If you want a chance of escaping, you have to work together. The Hubris of Drow will always be their undoing. Tell me, Prince, how came you to be enslaved?
Eddrikk, come here please.
do the same to him Stool. If you can.

Galinndan Siannodel |

Galinndan will pocket a pair of spoons, hiding them in his clothing as well as he can.
I will get to sharpen these when not in view of the guards.

Kanzen Millithor |

Kanzen continues scanning for potential weapons or other useful items while the drow are occupied.

Galinndan Siannodel |

Sleight of Hand: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14
Sleight of Hand: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19

caster4lyfe |

Galinndan manages to grab a pair of spoons and hide them under his spare garment. No more promising weapons present themselves in this room though and exceptionally bold slave might attempt to climb into the chamber above without being noticed. Shoor glares at the guard, who holds his hands up submissively, and comes to the door to see what is going on. He snarls at Galenus and shoves him back into the center of the chamber.
Shoor asks the guard outside the slave pen what happened then laughs and also spits into the spider webs toward the body of the Drow slave.
Shoor then returns to his dice game with the other guards but none of them seem to be enjoying it as much.

Derendil--NPC |

The small myconid releases a puff of spores that Eddrikk inhales before he knows what is happening. He then also hears the Quaggoth speaking in his mind, as does Tiberius.
Yes, cooperation is wise. As for the source of my own captivity, an evil wizard stole my crown, trapped me in this form, and sold me to the Drow to be rid of me.

Galinndan Siannodel |

Galinndan looks around, seeing what is the best angle to try and breach the upper room without being seen.

caster4lyfe |

Galinndan thinks that a stealthy person may be able to make it up the ladder without the gambling guards noticing if they eased their way over to the base of the ladder.
Mechanically, a successful stealth check is all what's required, the gambling distraction making a stealth check possible. Further distraction may grant advantage.

Galinndan Siannodel |

Galinndan whispers to the others near him, without looking up or moving his head up. He doesn't want to give his plans away too obviously to onlookers.
"Make a distraction and I can get up there."

Galenus |

Galenus heads back to the door and picks up a small rock.
Oy! A silver piece! he says to himself, but loud enough for the drow to hear.
When one of them inevitably come to hit him and take the coin, he'll "trip" and toss the rock down into the cliff, losing the "coin."

Galinndan Siannodel |

Once the guards are suitably distracted, Galinndan will make for that ladder.
Stealth: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10
Stealth: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22
Damn, but that advantage was handy!

caster4lyfe |

A guard comes over to Galenus and strikes him across the back of the head.
Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
Galinndan disappears up the ladder.
You find yourself in the armory. Hanging on the walls around you, you see
6 chain shirts
6 suits of studded leather armor
6 shields
6 hand crossbows
20 cases of hand crossbow bolts, each case containing 20 bolts
6 shortswords and 10 daggers
6 bags of caltrops (20 caltrops per bag)
4 100-foot-long coils of silk rope
2 building hammers (not usable as weapons)
2 bags of iron spikes (10 spikes per bag)
You realize that much of this would be extremely difficult to conceal. What do you do?
25 xp each to Galinndan and Galenus for their accomplishments of teamwork.

Tiberius Vorrack Kerrhylon |

I believe at this point I have figured out that anyone that breaths the spores of this little fellow here can communicate mentally with others that have breathed them. However I do not know if there is a time limit to how long it lasts, nor do I know if their is a limited amount that can be affected. I believe this is the best way for us to discuss matters of escaping. Tiberius thinks to the lot.

Kanzen Millithor |

Kanzen watches the elf scoot up the ladder in a flash as the drow beats the dwarf. Once the guard has moved away from Galenus he moves over slowly to the dwarf and helps him to his feet. "That was brave," he whispers. "And it worked."

Galenus |

Thanks, Galenus whispers back as he takes the proffered help. If I knew I'd he hit that hard, he says, as he rubs the back of his head, I might not've done it.

Kanzen Millithor |

Kanzen nods and moves away from Galenus before they draw any attention from the drow guards. I hope that elf doesn't get caught up there. He'll be fed to the spiders if he is.
Kanzen will continue to keep an eye out for anything useful he can snaffle while he works.

Galenus |

Galenus doesn't do anything else out of sorts for the rest of the time they're cleaning (unless hit fellow Slaves start an impromptu uprising).
However, if Galinndan isn't back by the time they're are escorted back to the cell, and if one of the slavers makes a comment about a missing slave, then Gale us will make a comment about how he's the one who fell into the spider webs below.

Galinndan Siannodel |

Galinndan sees the equipment. He realises that it would be difficult if not impossible to conceal.
So he prepares to use it.
He puts on a suit of studded leather while noting the ways in and out of the armoury.
He then looks for a sack or something similar to bundle up many of the weapons. Quietly.

Galinndan Siannodel |

Galinndan sets aside a pair of short swords for himself, and stuffs as much else into the sack as he can, prioritising weapons.

Eddrikk |

Drawn back from his mental conversation by Buppido's words. After having a psychic conversation with a dragon-man, a prince turned fur-ball, and a psychic mushroom, Eddrikk considers Buppido's mention of powers and leading his people from earlier.

caster4lyfe |

The sack can hold 30 pounds of gear. Choose what you want without worrying about the exact geometry.
The guards begin to look around as they stand up from their table. One shouts at the prisoners.
Back to the pen with you all!
He then starts counting you, with a look of increasing concern on his face.

Buppido--NPC |

The derro elaborately pulls his thumbs into a tight punch with the rest of his fingers, holds his wrists at a weird angle, and attempts to slide his hands out of the manacles
Dexterity check: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11
with no success whatsoever. After a minute or so of trying, he replies.
It is not yet time for me to slip these bonds! I await exactly the right moment.
He smiles and nods confidently.

Galinndan Siannodel |

Galinndan stuffs the following into the sack, with two additional shortswords on his back:
2 hand crossbows 3lb = 6lb
2 cases of hand crossbow bolts, each case containing 20 bolts 1.5lb = 3lb
4 shortswords 2 lb. = 8lb
3 daggers 1lb = 3lb
1 100-foot-long coil of silk rope 10lb
And then he grabs the sack and tries sneaking down the ladder and get to the other prisoners before being spotted.
Stealth: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25

caster4lyfe |

Ok I've added a slide to current maps to show the situation in the guard tower. The brown squares are zurkhwood tables.
Galinndan slinks down out of the armory with a bag full of weapons. He sees the guards and prisoners assembled near the exit back to the slave pen with their backs turned counting the prisoners and starting to speak with some agitation.
None of the rest of you notice Galinndan yet as he is being very stealthy. What do you do?

Galenus |

Are the guards mentioning anything about someone missing? If they don't care, I'm not saying a damn thing.

Kanzen Millithor |
2 people marked this as a favorite. |

Kanzen grits his teeth. The elf needs another distraction, wherever he is. The dwarf took the hit last time, guess it's my turn...
Turning to the nearest guard, Kanzen peers at him arrogantly, and exaggerates the accent his drow noble heritage has given him. "What's the hold up, commoner? Let's go, I've earned a rest."
This going to hurt...

Irdril Tinúviel |

Irdril gets the urgency of the situation and tries the distract the guards. Cutting Kanzen off before he gets himself killed.
She boldly speaks up to Shoor.
"Wow, now that's a man. Takes no lip and wins the gold! Why should he not get the girl too? Why don't you let me give you ah, private dance? Heck, you other two can watch if you want.."
Persuasion: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21
I've done worse for less. If it helps us get out of here it'll be worth it.

Galinndan Siannodel |

Does Galinndan think he has any realistic chance of getting back to the pen with the sack unnoticed?

caster4lyfe |

The guard's face turns pale with rage at Kanzen's remark. He begins drawing his shortsword when his superior puts a firm hand on his arm, intrigued by Irdril's remark.
The guards have just started wondering where the last prisoner is. At the interruption, Shoor says to Irdril
An interesting proposition, slave. Perhaps later, after we have sorted out this situation.
Galinndan thinks his odds of sneaking back to the slave pen are somewhat slim but not impossible. The equipment in his sack might clank together as he moves and the guards are currently directly in the way of his path back to the slave pen.
The goblin begins reacting hysterically to the release of the spores. What do you do?

Galinndan Siannodel |

Galinndan discreetly mouths "distract" so that the other slaves can see but not the guards. He is trying to keep his acquisitions facing away from the guards and is currently at the back of the slave group.

caster4lyfe |

Care to move yourself on the map to the back of the group, Galinndan? You should be able to.
When Shoor sees Irdril's lack of comprehension, he repeats himself in common. The guards then talk animatedly among themselves, trying to figure out what to do with the missing prisoner, Irdril's proposition, and Kanzen's insult before spotting Galinndan at the back of the group. One shouts to him
Where were you, slave!!

Irdril Tinúviel |

Irdril gives the tiniest of smiles.
"It will be worth your while Master. No sense in wasting time on these other fools. I can show you things you have not seen before.."
Persuasion: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20
Trying to get him to rush the return of the others, hopefully causing the sack to go unnoticed.

Galinndan Siannodel |

Done!
Galinndan is about to reply with a biting retort, but holds and says in the most subservient and confused voice he can manage:
"I...I was here!"
Deception: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (16) - 1 = 15

Galenus |

Galenus waits with baited breath to see what happens.
