That works, Irdril.

Buppido throws back his head and laughs and laughs. "Silly little ixitxachitl! You can't stop me from reaching Gracklstugh, home of my divinity!"

DC 11 History:

Derro like Buppido are the second-largest portion of Gracklstugh's population, after Duergar.

DC 11 Nature:

Ixitxachitl are aberrations shaped like manta rays with barbed tails. They are constrained to the water for the most part but will leap up and attack those in the boat the best they can as it is not far out of the water.

DC 16 Nature:

You wrote a small book on ixitxachitl. You can look up the ixitxachitl's stats.

Good choice of words to match the good roll, Galinndan.

Buppido calms down and whispers "You're right! And those pesky worshipers and coveters can be such an annoyance."

He goes to the middle of the boat and clasps his hands in glee while sitting cross-legged and smiling at everyone around him.

25 xp for Galinndan!

What are you asking/attempting?

Buppido dances about madly on the deck of the raft, dancing and swaying while yelling like a crazy derro. "I have brought us to the cavern of beautiful shininess!!!"

You fear his antics could upset the raft or draw unwanted attention.

Some form of social check would be wise here.

"YES!! YES!! LET GOOD OL' BUPPIDO HELP! HEEEHEEEHEEE! NEVER LOST, HAVE I!!!!!"

The derro runs around madly screaming, gibbering, laughing, crying, and dancing all at once.

Galinndan, you already had inspiration but you would have just gotten some more.

Galinndan searches for food and a place to rest as the group proceeds. Unfortunately, the group is getting farther and farther from the river and edible fungi are becoming rarer and rarer. Regarding a place to stay, he finds nothing more ideal than the passages through which the group wanders. As he searches, the Derro comes up to him and begins a conversation in Undercommon.

"You know, I like you. You don't care what it takes to do something. You just do it! It's wonderful!!! Stab him right under the jaw! Just as I planned."

Buppido's NPC Card!:

1/minute: Buppido cuts a mad caper around you, laughing maniacally the whole time. Force a single attack roll against you to be made with disadvantage.
1/day: Buppido charges madly at an opponent, screaming his odd and completely confident war-cry. His reckless charge forces a creature no more than 2 sizes larger than him to use its reaction and all of its movement to move 10 feet out of the way. The creature chooses the direction in which they move.
Inspiration: Buppido’s madness can be contagious. Force one creature that can see, hear, and understand Buppido to make a DC 16 wisdom save or gain one level of madness.

Everyone regains all their hit points and half their hit die (minimum of 1) after a long rest.

Ront continues to get angrier and angrier that his bonds persist. He pulls and pulls with his arms outstretched

Strength check: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22

and snaps the annoying chains. Derendil sees this and attempts to imitate Ront

Strength: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22

Getting in the spirit of things, Buppido proclaims I will now demonstrate my power!

Dex: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6

The Derro accidentally pokes himself in the eye while attempting to escape.

It is not within my plans to rid myself of these decorations at this time!! He beams cheerily.

The derro cackles joyfully.

Undercommon:

Yes! Yes! We have escaped! Exactly as I planned.

He claps the nearest person cheerily on the back.

Undercommon:

Well done, my fine friends!

The derro elaborately pulls his thumbs into a tight punch with the rest of his fingers, holds his wrists at a weird angle, and attempts to slide his hands out of the manacles

Dexterity check: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11

with no success whatsoever. After a minute or so of trying, he replies.

Undercommon:

It is not yet time for me to slip these bonds! I await exactly the right moment.

He smiles and nods confidently.

Buppido smiles at being drawn into conversation by Eddrikk.

Undercommon:

Well I'm pretty useful in a fight or if we want to be sneaking around. Also, I am a fantastic speaker and organizer.

He beams proudly.

Buppido pipes up, unsure what's going on.

Undercommon:

Hey! What are you all talkin' about without me!?

The Derro, very offended at the Drow's words, falls silent for a moment. After the action is over, he stands up and sticks a thumb in his own chest.

Undercommon:

That is what happens to those who doubt the mighty Buppido!

FYI, many the npcs have been speaking to you in Undercommon this whole time. I'll be more careful to denote that but many of you speak Undercommon so it's not a big barrier.

Buppido stands tall and gesticulates wildly while speaking in a somewhat loud whisper.

I shall lead my people forth to glory, demonstrating my power!

He sits back down.

THAT... is my plan. He grins broadly at the demonstration of his brilliance.

Buppido turns around and shuffles close to Cyrus, hearing Cyrus' words.

Back to business, I say! Now that the rude elf is gone! I can't believe he doubted my powers! Yes, let's escape!

Buppido looks taken aback at Galinndan's comment and shuts his mouth firmly then turns his back and stares at the cave wall with his arms crossed.

DC 10 insight:

He thinks you were speaking sarcastically.

Feel free to look at other players' spoilers. Just remember to keep player knowledge and character knowledge separate until a teammate fills you in on something, which may be as simple as saying "I tell them what I saw."

Slave pen:

The Derro rubs his hands in glee. Yes, oh yes. My plans are all coming to fruition, as I foresaw. My power will lead us forth from this place.

In the slave pen, the Derro glances cheerfully at his fellow prisoners, despite the small trickle of blood from a wound in his arm.

What we talkin' about? Come on, come on. Fill ol' Buppido in!

He smiles broadly and conspiratorially.

No spoilerz please I probably can't see it til 2019.......but if I hated Force Awakens (somewhat jokingly referred to as "A New New Hope" only somewhat) will I hate this too? I liked Rogue One so it's not the "female Luke Skywalker" thing at all man.

Q: "Son, who shot first?"
A: "Greedo did."

I'm sorry, son. I failed you.

Just posting this as a warning: teach your kids before its too late.

I asked a techie friend about it elsewhere (facebook) and some said "sequel," some said "ess queue ell," and then people started going at it a little bit. It cracked me up because the damndest things can stir up s%!$.
So I said, "hell. I'll just wait until my Prof. says it then say it like she does."

Like, in school they told me to pronounce "finance" like "shark's fin" instead of "dang but Jo Bob's old lady sure is fine," also I was cautioned about "new kyew lurr...."

So I was just wondering and all.

I am still hoping this is b$%+!!&%.

YEEEEEEEHAW!!!

they seriously need to do an indiegogo for this.

I think King Star King is pretty metal.

It's NSFW.

Stuff has to be NSFW to be metal.

The recent financial crisis calls into question the EMH; according to some real smart guy at Yale.
In fact, unjustified faith in rational expectations and market efficiencies might have been one of the causes.
so, now what?

If this works I can start a thread, I just can't open any existent ones.

I guess I won't be able to read this one either, so don't talk bad about me.

I can't seem to open subforums with internet explorer (I guess that's what it is; it says bing or something)
or start threads, but I just now tried it on firefox and it works.

So, anyway, I guess as usual I solved my own damn problem. I just felt like sharing, cos I know at least one other person who couldn't open subforums as well.
