Upbeat tunes.
Nice. I watched the official version - LINK - sweet video that reminds me of a campaign I want to run where the characters are mythic-superheroes and Drum and Bass and Dubstep are underground disciplines of resistance agains the Darque Powers…

I understand why actors can be paid so much performance has it tolls but the finished product can be inspiring and motivational to others, athletes I see as the same way somewhat its just that in America we hold them close to godhood and I feel as though that is a bit wrong.

It's sooooo way wrong....especially when people like me are practically KILLING myself to care for others and make sure they don't die. We get paid for s@&$ and get ZERO respect...most often by the very people that we work for.
I am tired.....like REALLY tired, and would like to think that some day I don't have to kill myself to pay our damn bills or feel like I'm trapped where I am. Life isn't fair and I should be used to being treated like s@&% so I guess my only choice is to just get the Hell over it and move on....while trying not to strangle anyone in the process.

The only reason actors command so much is because thay can quantifyably argue "I put asses in the seats. I make you millions of dollars, so I better see millions of dollars otherwise I'll stop"
It has nothing to do with the valie of what they do, and everything to do with the value of what they earn those who employ them. Same as professional athletes.
Ironically it's because we don't put a monetary value on human life and we do on entertainment that this happens. If there was an actual financial equation for a human life or human health (not healcare, but actually having your health), healthcare, fire, emt's, lifeguards, would be able to write thier own checks.

It's sad...but that's the damn truth. I really wouldn't want to be one of those people either and have all that pressure on me 24/7, not to mention dealing with the media and no privacy....like EVER.

Pretty much what Vi said.
We won our final 2-0. My brother had to be carried from the field with a knee tear/strain/dislocate/not sure midway through the first half. The lynchpin of the team. Commander, brute, warrior. That's what happens when you put your body on the line in the dogtowns. At 43, and him still being in pain even with codeine - was likely his last final. Vale.
But we won.

To anyone that is interested, I have started a google community intended to be small and tight-knit. This is a place to hang out and chat about all things RPG and more. I intend for it to be a means where we can organize games, talk about things we want to do for an existing (or future) game, and anything else we wish to discuss. It doesn't have to be gaming related. We can just hang out too.
This way we can keep out all the drama queens and stay in contact with those who we want to have contact with.
The Idiosyncratic RPGers. Come check it out! Of note, I chose to use a Google Plus profile that is not associated with my real name to create this community. That way if anyone wants to remain anonymous they may do so.
GM Dust has already signed on.
