I like the idea of taking the Justiciar prestige class. I'll just have to wait a bit.
I just took my first rank in Knowledge (local) with this level up, but I need to have 5 ranks to qualify.
I took the Persuasive feat, and I already have all the other
prerequisites.
Hit Point Roll: 1d8 ⇒ 5

![]() |

I've sent the GM a private message to chat about my new level. It'll all come out in the roleplay, I believe.
Hit Points are the same: 1d8 ⇒ 4

Vermilion Vixen |

I’m doing the half HD +1. (I realize you let us roll and take the better, but I got a free feat and a free talent, so I won’t worry about the occasional extra 1-3 HP I could’ve had.)

Harmond Orlovsky |

I love Always prepared. My wife had Brilliant Planner on an Occultist for our Return of the Runelords game and used it to great effect damn near constantly.
For my level up I am grabbing Empower Spell and the Energy Blast focus power as well as gaining the Aura Sight class feature.
Hit Points: 1d8 ⇒ 2

![]() |

I was looking at Brilliant Planner! I chose something else....but still.

Eunomia Verto |

Hit Points: 1d6 ⇒ 5 Sweet! I will take that extra hit point.
Nothing super special going on for Eunomia this level. She learned the spells Alarm, Resist Energy, and Invisibility, and cast cast one more 2nd level spell per day.

Eunomia Verto |

Ahto: I missed that you had healed yourself to full, but Vixen is still down a few hit points if I'm not mistaken. (-4)
I'll leave my post as is because the "only healing good people" thing is probably going to come up sometime. And Eunomia wouldn't necessarily know exactly how many hit points everyone is on; just that Ahto and Vixen took quite a beating and Ahto cast a couple healing spells on Vixen.

I need to make a few rolls here:
???: 3d8 ⇒ (6, 6, 3) = 15
Not bad...

Perhaps, for the next Kingdom round, it's time to look at creating more durable housing for the people of Tamlyn. Maybe some more houses? Townhouses? Tenements?

Eunomia Verto |

I don't think we have enough BP for an Inn and a House. Upkeep and building all takes place before income, unless I'm forgetting something.
Current Treasury: 15BP
Consumption: 3BP
Inn: 10BP
House: 3BP
We'd be one BP short. We could only make it work if we put the Inn next to the existing house near the library. Which, honestly, might not be a bad idea. It sucks to miss out on our 'free' house, but an inn will continue boosting our Economy so we can start getting more BP.
If we definitely want to build a house, then I think our best option is a Brewery (6BP, +1 Loyalty, +1 Stability).
Either way I don't think we can afford to claim any new hexes this turn.

I like Eunomia’s idea of building the inn next to the existing house.

Should we make an edict at this point about some form of an agreement between the First World and Tamlyn? Just spit-balling here...

![]() |

Woot!
No thoughts on the Edict surrounding the "First Citizens"? (First World Citizens of Tamlyn)?

Woot!
No thoughts on the Edict surrounding the "First Citizens"? (First World Citizens of Tamlyn)?
The Edict Phase, as written, primarily deals with changes in leadership roles, taxation, holidays, and promotions.
There are optional rules for Diplomatic Edicts, but they're for interacting with other kingdoms rather than incorporating citizens.
Also, I don't think there are enough fey in the region to count as a kingdom unto themselves.
Therefore, I think we'll treat the First Citizens Edict as a New Subjects beneficial kingdom event.

Addy Lane |

I just realized that the fey actually have great abilities for a Crystalhue celebration. I know the sprites’ well because I just made a sprite familiar for my duettist bard.
It’s a sprite who thinks she’s an amazon warrior who died and earned her wings, and my bard is obviously her goddess. I ended up making her a mauler, and the GM confirmed she can still glow and fly as a human-sized sprite. She’ll have a whopping 11 STR, which is mighty next to my noodly-armed bard (easily my weakest character ever).

I want to prepare the table for PaizoCon Online coming up exactly one week from today. I will be GMing and gaming my way through the entire convention. As such, I will be very unavailable for my regular PbP games starting on May 26th but look to getting back into them on June 1st.
Thanks!

DM Vayelan |

I designed this NPC as a sort of counterpart to Ahto.
She counts herself as a devout follower of Abadar, and although her profession is dubious, she reconciles it with her faith.
I was hoping this could foster a lively but amicable discussion, with Ahto and Tremaine trading knowledge of Abadaran scripture in a civil duel of minds.
However, if anyone in the party is too uncomfortable with this subject, Tremaine and her application can be dismissed and we can move on.

I don't find it a problem, as long as there is no expectation of a GoT Littlefinger monologue amidst a room full of working ladies and their clientele being described play-by-play in the thread.

Vermilion Vixen |

Speaking of GoT, I really thought VV would be like Brienne in the finale’s final scene, regarding the presence of a bordello.
I had to consider how VV would feel, and remembered her entry into the game. Ultimately, I felt her protective instinct would kick in, despite her personal feelings about prostitution.

Addy Lane |

“For me goddess, Shelyn. Like, can any o’ yer girls perform with instruments or some song and dance? It’s for a Crystalhue celebration, a performance consisting o’ five fey and five… bigguns, as me littlest lady-friends call us. We need four more human or human-ish performers… and anyone who knows how to actually direct a stage-play’s welcome.”^Clean-ish scene from a Mel Brooks film.

DM Vayelan |

I'm glad that this is going much better than I'd hoped.
Now I just need to keep everyone from finding out that I've never read or watched Game of Thrones. Did I type that out loud?
Also, as a lifelong fan of Mel Brooks, I'd like to thank Addy for giving me another idea I hadn't thought of previously.

I'm getting a funny feeling that in a few weeks or months, Tamlyn's going to be looking like Tombstone.
I just hope that doesn't mean we have to be The Earps and Doc Holliday.
Well...maybe part of me does. "I see a red sash, I kill the man's that's wearing it. You tell them the Law's comin', that I'm comin', and Hell's comin' with me!"

The Vermilion Vixen |

So, in case wearing red ever becomes an issue, as most people have a hard time distinguishing vermilion from crimson, scarlet, apple and other shades of red… I want to point out that the red-sashed gang is the CowBOYS. You could have a Scarlet Pimpernel in that gang, or a Crimson Comet or a Johnny Appleseed, but definitely, the Vermilion Vixen is not a Cowboy.

The Vermilion Vixen |

Thanks for the NPC update!
Would you mind adding Toughnut (sprite) and the other fey performers (sprite and pooka)?
Also, I assumed they were female*. Please correct if either sprite is male.
*Sprites are fairy-like, so like merfolk, I default to female for such creatures—while I refer to a bear, for example. as ‘he.’ There was actually a bear in my yard last week and I noticed my daughters kept asking if I got a picture of ‘him.’ I said it was probably a girl-bear. (And didn’t have my phone on me, so I’m lucky s/he didn’t run off before I could catch her on video.)

The Vermilion Vixen |

I was thinking with Ahto’s carrying capacity increase, she’s a light load, and her hands are free for hanging on since she’ll use her kicks.
Heels are a piercing weapon, in case the water is deeper than expected. Note that I only want the piggyback if invisible. The idea is to get close without AoO, which only works if I’m invisible and not splashing.
At least I *think* this is effective… and not as dumb as it looks, or would look if not for invisibility.

GM, I've put Sprocket-zilla's stats in the special line of Wonky's character link.
Just in case you need to see them.
*hee hee*

![]() |

When allowed (on her turn in initiative order), Wonky will use a swift action to alter her hunter's focus. FYI.

Eunomia Verto |

Sorry everyone, I have not had a good couple weeks and have been having trouble doing anything, frankly. I'll get a post up, but understand if you need to kick me for someone with more consistency.

I have no intention of kicking you. This is a rough time for everyone, and rough times call for patience.

![]() |

I don’t see Ahto having a particular need for the ring, but I figured he would want a formal accounting of what was done with it.
I would guess any of the rest of you could use it, we just need to decide whose abilities it best enhances to the benefit of the group.

The Vermilion Vixen |

I’m happy to hear others weigh in.
I like the item because VV (and pretty much any character I play) tends to pull insane stunts, though so far, I think the leap over the wyvern was the only really crazy thing I did. I’m not sure how long it will be before I try jumping around on the upper floor, if ever, but a magical parachute would be nice to wear to the occasion.

Addy Lane |

@GM,
I wonder if Miss Tremaine is an Abadarian cleric. You might’ve been explicit, or hinted at that, so I apologize if I should know this already. I’m under the impression she’s devout, like Addy with Shelyn.
If she is actually a cleric, but didn’t explicitly say so, I’m fine learning this in-game. What Addy’s about to say might lead to her telling that. But if I should know one way or the other, feel free to clue me in IC or OoC.
