Torillan Ellandilas |

Really sorry gang, but I'm still battling the internet service issues. Hopefully will get squared away here today. On a friends PC right now to send this, all my maps and such on my PC.
No worries. I've been working a few overnights in a row, and am trying to sleep as much as I can...one more shift!! :-p

Old Guy GM |

Ok, some things to note about the map:There are tables at AA-AB 17, there is glass on the floor at V - Y 16, and again at V 17. There is a bloody body at Z 17. If you want to jump onto a table (Sebastian) then its a DC 7 Acrobatics (DC 11 Dex) check. Glass and bloody squares are DC 10 Acrobatics (DC 15 Dex) checks. If you want to change moves, then re-post, otherwise give me the rolls. Also, due to the conditions from the darkness mixed with furnace fire, all to-hit rolls are at -2 unless you have low-light or darkvision.

Old Guy GM |

Sebastian jumps on the table and shoots. I've got +9 on my Acrobatics check and there's no fumble, even on a "1", so I make it automatically, right? If you want me to roll anyway, let me know. Also, the light makes my roll to hit a "25" then.
Ok then, you are set. Waiting on the others...

Gimble Boddynock |

I think everyone else has posted. I think Khalad is the only one who has moved through or into a glassy area, and he posted his Acrobatics check (plus his attack will take the -2 penalty for poorly lit conditions). Gimble, Torillan, and Rogar all have either low-light vision or darkvision, and Yelena's spell doesn't require a to-hit roll.

Yelena Shukhov |
I'm on the computer and I have some time, so here's my action for the next round.
Yelena points at the flames of the furnace behind the goblins with one finger. Her eyes stare at some point on the horizon far beyond the confines of the room. Her voice echoes with detached solemnity, "Look into the fire, children. Look deeply and see yourselves. All concerns - emotions, thoughts, life and death - feed them into the flame. Pain and fear become merely passing phenomena, little ones. The separateness of mind and world disappear. There is only the void."
Yelena casts hypnotism. Will DC 16. 8 HD of creatures affected.
2d4 ⇒ (4, 4) = 8

Round 1 Summation
Sebastian steps up into a gap between Torillan and Khalad and fires his bow. The arrow flickers in the light from the furnace and strikes the goblin in the eye. The force of the shot throws the goblin back, the container of molten glass pouring over its head.
Yelena casts her spell at a goblin near the back, but he doesn't seem to be fazed by it.
Gimble
Rogar's attack causes a vicious wound to the goblin's leg, staggering him back. In return, he swings downward with his dogslicer, the pain of his wounds causing him to miss the dwarf.
Khalad's goblin has some difficulty getting his feet set, and misses with his attack. Another goblin shifts to be in front of Sebastian, his wicked weapon slicing the rogue's arm 1 point. The two goblins with long glassworking tongs rush forward, both trying to dump molten glass on someone. One succeeds, as searing hot glass pours over Khalad's arm. 4 points, plus Reflex save needed
Torillan's attack catches the goblin facing Sebastian in the side, killing him instantly.
The pain of the burn is enough to throw Khalad off, his axe barely missing his opponent.
Round 2:
Sebastian 28: bless, scratched
Yelena 25: bless, casting hypnotism
Gimble 19: bless
Rogar 15: bless
Goblins 14
Torillan 10: bless
Khalad 3: bless, wounded

Sebastian Creed |

Sebastian worries that he now needs a tetanus shot!
Sebastian draws an arrow and shoots the goblin in W17 and quickly draws another and shoots the goblin in X18. "Fall goblins, fall!"
1st shot: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18; Damage: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10
2nd shot: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6; Damage: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4

Khalad Orlon |

Damage recorded, Reflex: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
Khalad is now enraged by the pain and frustration, he tries to steady himself Acrobatics: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 1 = 13 before slashing down on the goblin before him X16 with a mighty roar!
1d20 + 9 ⇒ (16) + 9 = 25
1d12 + 9 ⇒ (10) + 9 = 19
EDIT: Unless I'm mistaken, I've just caught fire and split a goblin in half!!!

Torillan Ellandilas |

Real life busy?
Here is his post from the OOC thread:
When it rains, it pours...
So now work is sending me away from home for 9 days. I leave the 3rd and wont be back until the 12th. As luck would have it, I wont internet access either. Isnt life grand?
We'll get through round 2 and have to freeze the action at that point.

Round 2 Summation
Creed lets fly with two arrows at two goblins. The first takes one of the barbed shafts in the gut, killing him. The second goes wide of the mark, lost in the darkness.
Yelena's voice grows low and melodius, and all of the goblins turn to listen to her. All but one cackle with laughter at her suggestion of "hopes and dreams". (hot dice streak there)
Gimble steps up after giving his warning.
Rogar's swing misses when his target doubles over from laughter, the attack swishing over its head.
The goblins attack, except for the one hypnotized by Yelena (in front of Khalad). Unfortunately for them, their mirth costs them their chance to hit anything at all. (and then the dice go bad...) Two more goblins emerge from deeper in the furnace room and begin chucking large glass shards in vain attempts to hit something.
Torillan slaughters his goblin (#6) in a spray of green blood.
The molten glass catches Khalad's clothes on fire, the flame searing him for 6 points!
The dazed goblin turns slowly towards Khalad, a look of serene peace and tranquility on its face as it finally realizes the error of its evil ways. Unfortunately for it, Khalad is having none of that, and its rehabilitation is cut short as he cuts it in half.

Khalad Orlon |

The dazed goblin turns slowly towards Khalad, a look of serene peace and tranquility on its face as it finally realizes the error of its evil ways. Unfortunately for it, Khalad is having none of that, and its rehabilitation is cut short as he cuts it in half.
Hehe. Yeah, when Khalad hits a goblin, its usually pretty grim! If only I hit the little green bastards more often! :D Flaming raging Barbarians!

Torillan Ellandilas |

Torillan advances past the goblin he just killed, ducking briefly to avoid the last spurts of blood from the creature.
Advance 20' to square U18 to attack the goblin in square T18. I do not believe any molten glass is in his way.
Attack: 1d20 + 7 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 7 + 1 = 11 (+1 for bless)
Damage: 1d10 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9

Gimble Boddynock |

Ranged Touch Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14 (includes +1 bonus for Hatred)

Sebastian Creed |

Creed takes a step forward to Z17 and unleases 2 arrows, one each at the goblins in T16 and T18.
Arrow #1:1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24
Damage: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9
Confirm roll: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16
If critical: Add 2d8 + 4 ⇒ (7, 2) + 4 = 13 damage
Arrow #2:1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
Damage:1d8 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10
I am first in initiative...good to have you back DM!

Old Guy GM |

Round 3 Summation
Creed continues his airborne assault, his first arrow passing through the skull of its target, blowing what little brain it had out the back of its head.
Yelena rushes over to Khalad as he backpedals, their combined efforts enough to douse the barbarian flambe'.
Gimble's ray hits the goblin in front of him, rendering him blind to a killing blow from Torillan.
Only Rogar's goblin continues to fight, as it parries Rogar's attack. 'I is laughin' at you, mangebeard!' it cackles, its return swing cutting a nasty gash on the dwarf's side. (4 points)
Everyone give me a perception check at -4. Also, remember the penalty for attack rolls due to the light conditions.
Thanks all, glad to be back.

Khalad Orlon |

Everyone give me a perception check at -4. Also, remember the penalty for attack rolls due to the light conditions.
Thanks all, glad to be back.
Concealment with a 20% miss chance? Or is it a -2 on attack rolls?
Khalad grins and claps Yelena on the shoulder with a large, blackened hand. 'Thanks, that was unpleasant!'
He peers into the darkness to see if there are many more goblins.
1d20 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 1 = 21

Gimble Boddynock |

Depending on the results of the Perception check, and if Sebastian and/or Yelena do not kill the remaining goblin, Gimble will fire a Blinding Ray at the remaining goblin. If it hits, the goblin will be blinded for 1 round unless it has more Hit Dice than Gimble's wizard level, in which case it will be dazzled for 1 round instead.
Ranged Touch Attack: 1d20 + 5 - 4 ⇒ (20) + 5 - 4 = 21 (includes +1 bonus for Hatred and -4 for firing into melee)
HOWEVER, if the Perception check reveals a greater threat, Gimble will turn his attention to that instead of the remaining goblin.

Rogar Hammergun |

Not exactly sure what we are waiting on so, I guess I'll attempt to attack!
'Why you little green blooded son of a mongrel!', Rogar exclaims as he swings with his warhamer.
Attack:1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Damage:1d8 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
If he wasn't laughing loud before, I'm sure this swing didn't quiet him up!

Old Guy GM |

Oh, did not realize it was Round 4. Creed does nothing this round, the goblin has cover and besides he does not have precise shot, so the minuses are too great. He feels the party can handle one goblin.
Thats ok, normally I'd post a Round 4 map, but the Perception needed to go first. Map upcoming.

Old Guy GM |

The Goblin BladeMaster is a whirling dervish of spins, ducks, and parries. As he about to land a death-blow on Rogar, Gimble's ray hits him, forcing him to fight blindly. Even the Great Goblin BladeMaster cannot overcome this. He misses.
Torillan, Gimble, Khalad, Rogar
Round 4 map zoomed out. Dead goblins deleted for sanitary reasons.
I will adjust and post for Rnd 5 once I have Tor's actions. Sorry, this didn't go as smoothly in pbp as it might've at the table. Back on track next round.
