Terrance Foehammer |

Aye, we could just jog through

Ingrid Van der Geist |

"Better we get out of her as quickly as possible then." Ingrid says leasing the way to the door on the opposite end of the room as quickly as she can.

Terrance Foehammer |

Terrance bulls through after ensuring that everyone makes it through.
Go...Go...Go..

Seliina |

Knowledge (religion): 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (16) + 9 = 25
Knowledge (religion): 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (6) + 9 = 15
"Haunts huh, I agree, let's get through here as fast as we can." With that said she quickly followed her companions making sure to follow the footsteps of those who had been here before to avoid triggering anything new in this haunted hell hole.

Henric Xantrian |

Henric attempts to make haste, but the weight of his pack slows him. After a few muttered oaths, he catches up to the group, keeping pace with Terrance at least.
I'll follow the group; it doesn't look as though anyone else is actually moving on the map though... but I could just be out of the loop!

DM Twilight |

Ingrid was kind enough to draw out the intended path to get back to the world's friendliest ghost. That way I could see where you guys would be and what you might encounter along the way.
You rush from the room, leaving the life sucking haunt behind and hurry on towards Vesorianna's location. Ingrid leads you through the area, carefully avoiding any further incidents. You arrive outside of Vesorianna's eternal prison.

Terrance Foehammer |

Terrance opens the door and walks in, holding the badge out.
Lady Vesorianna, we have your husbands badge.

DM Twilight |

The ethereal visage of the warden's dead wife rises up from the twisted pile of skeletal remains and fabric on the floor.
"Guards? They've sent guards? Oh, wait yes. My guards. You've brought his badge to me. Tell, me did you find my husband then?" Vesorianna says as she moves across the floor to hover in front of Terrance.

Ingrid Van der Geist |

Taking a deep breath, Ingrid steps forward. "Yes, we did.His death....it wasn't in any way your fault. He wasn't killed by the lift. In fact,he was already dead several hours before the fire began. The prisoners hid this when they believed that the promise of his safe return still had a chance of buying their escape." the paladin says quietly. "His end was....brutal. Not quick, her suffered at the hands of the Splatter Man, the Lopper, the Piper of Illmarsh, and several others. I'm sorry." she finishes sadly.

Henric Xantrian |

Henric eyes the apparition with critical interest, paying particular attention to the more transparent parts of the figure and the way she hovers. "We could speculate on the details of his demise, but I doubt you would care to hear them."

Tyrrol Radanavich |

Tyrrol shrugs.
"We certainly found the corpse that your husband's soul was previously resident in, but did not encounter any evidence of a spectral presence that could be linked to his restless spirit."

Seliina |

This was an odd encounter, the first friendly ghost Seliina had ever heard of. While her natural inclination was to begin questioning and researching the spirit she also knew enough to let the soul of this woman grieve. Instead she began to take notes in a notebook about what she picked up telepathically and via a magic detection spell. Otherwise she let the others speak with the spirit.

DM Twilight |

Iridescent tears pool up in the ghosts eyes before rolling off of her cheeks, only to disappear as soon as they would have broken contact with her flesh, had she flesh.
"I... I see. I never... please, put it here on the table," Vesorianna said before moving to stare out of the window.
"No, you wouldn't have found my Lyvar's spirit... he's been taken away from this place. It is why those evil, vile creatures have been able to cause such a stir," Vesorianna finally says in response to Tyrrol's observation.
If I'm not mistaken, Terrance and Ingrid were already aware of this from the previous conversations, right?
Seliina, are you referencing things you already learned or something you're looking to gain insight on with Vesorianna?

Seliina |

Nothing in particular, mostly just flavor text. We're in a section that Seliina has little to add due to her lack of knowledge of events and so she's simply writing down notes for future reference, namely if she picked up anything telepathically from the ghost, what it was like, how it felt, and then looking for auras with detect magic.

Terrance Foehammer |

Yes, Terrance was aware of that.

Ingrid Van der Geist |

Ingrid places the badge on the table somewhat reverently, nodding as Vesorianna enlightens the others as to her husband's fate.

DM Twilight |

"I have been able to contain Father Charlatan. I am not sure how you managed to defeat him, but he will not bother you again. Now, with Lyvar's badge, the Charlatan's cell has been reinforced. Defeat the others, if you can, and I will keep them bound," Vesorianna says. "But please, be swift, I fear that the Splatterman has not given up his quest to destroy me and if he succeeds, there will be nothing to hold these monsters back."

Henric Xantrian |

Watching impassively, Henric glances to Ingrid, watching her responses and movements. "Will you require more items in order to bind the other spirits?" he asks, his head tilting slightly toward Vesorianna as he speaks.

Ingrid Van der Geist |

"We'll need to use each of the items. The question is what should be next? The hammer, flute, book or axe? Each carries a risk." Ingrid responds somberly.

Tyrrol Radanavich |

"If this Splatterman is the strongest of them, perhaps we should thin the herd before we go after him? Do you know which items are associated with which spirits?"

Ingrid Van der Geist |

Yes we do. The axe was the same used by the Lopper, the book belongs to the Splatteman, the Hammer the Mosswater Marauder and of course the flute the Piper of Illmarsh." she replies.

Ingrid Van der Geist |

"My lady, we will work to eliminate the rest of them, but we may need to leave and return to better prepare for the next one we face."

Terrance Foehammer |

As we had thought and planned before
Terrance whispers to the others, as he gets ready to leave

Seliina |

Her note taking finished Seliina stepped towards the ghost and said, "I'm sorry we couldn't do more for him, and Ingrid is right, we will succeed, it just may take us a while if this trip was any indication."
