Boss Lady Dragon of the Early Evening

Ioann and others, go ahead and skip Henric. We'll get his action when he can post, or I'll post for him tonight.

So, so sorry. I completely spaced. It's been a hard week.

"Very good, Ms. Van der Geist." With a nod to Ingrid, Henric makes his way to dry ground, focusing his attention now on Ravel. "An interesting choice of weapon, Ms. Sigrún. On my signal, now..."

Attack (aid another): 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8

With her crossbow ready and loaded Seliina moved to get a better angle on one of the specters and then fired her crossbow at it.

light crossbow: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 201d8 ⇒ 2

I Target the remaining humanoid shaped spirit and hope it's not incorporeal.

Becoming less and less aware of his surrounding, Ioann continues striking at the closest skull blue, without even taking note of Henric's words, or of his friends actions. To him, there is only the flame, the searing pain, and the danger that these creatures pose to Kendra and Ravel, and even to Ingrid and Terrance.

attack: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (2) + 9 = 11 dg: 1d4 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10

Boss Lady Dragon of the Early Evening

Both ectoplasmic spirits were already down. Refocusing everyone's attacks on the skulls is more than enough to call them destroyed.

With all of the spirits in the immediate are dealt with, the room is suddenly quiet save the sounds of your own rapid breathing; an eerie feeling washes over you all as you glance around the room.

Female Aasimar (Angelkin) Paladin of Pharasma (Undead Scourge) 2 HP: 19/19. Fort: +8 Reflex: +4 Will: +7 (+2 vs Evil effects and to stabilize when at negative HP/+2 racial bonus on saving throws against death effects, energy drain, negative energy, and spells/SLA

The ire of the Lady of Graves flowing through her, Ingrid peers around the room with eyes that pierce the veil.

Continuing with Detect Undead.

Anyone hurt? And yes, I am also asking you Ioann. Being stoic and tough means nothing to getting hurts that weep and don't close

Ioann's fury comes to a halt leaving him panting, and in pain. Grunting from the burns he receives, Ioann turns toward's Terrance when the dwarf speaks to him, revealing a large burn around on his face and another one on his hand. Both regions are deep red, and their hair has been burnt away.

"Gneah... it could get infected." Ioann answers, taking a few steps towards Terrance.

As he waits to be healed, Ioann takes a look around, making sure that no one else has been hurt, his eyes linger especially on Kendra and Ravel. Finally, he looks towards the newcomers.

"Not bad." he simply says, more to himself than for the sake of the others.

"I am unharmed," Henric replies, sheathing his sword with another hisssss. "That was an interesting bout. I am interested to see what more you are capable of."

Ioann's assessment draws a fight smile, little more than a twitching at the corner of his lips, but he says nothing to the man. "Well. Shall we continue, once Mr. Foehammer has seen to the wounded?"

"Pretty much." Ingrid mutters tensely as she continues scanning the room.

This will hold it, and prevent it from getting infected at least until we are out of here where I can better look it over

Of course a crappy roll :(

Boss Lady Dragon of the Early Evening

Ingrid's eyes detect nothing further in the room, but she is pulled to the location of the bones that protrude from the wreckage of the lift. Don't forget why you came to this room before you venture forward!!

Kendra looks unharmed and barely shaken by the events; once again the woman's poise under fire is impressive.

Moving to the wreckage, Ingrid kneels, beginning to sift through the bones there, following the pull of the supernatural.

Going to assume that shield of faith was modified to be a clw.

Ioann contains a sight a relief as a faint blue lights emanating from Terrance's hands touches his face and mends his skin. Stern, he nods at the dwarf before kneeling next to Ingrid and helping to dig through the remains of the lift.

It was. but the RNG hates me. :(

Boss Lady Dragon of the Early Evening

Ingrid and Ioann dig through the debris, uncovering several skeletons in various degrees of ruin. Many of the bones lie broken, some completely crushed. Carefully, they sift through the remains looking for something, anything to identify Hawkram's body or any symbol of his authority but find nothing. There is nothing here that indicates that any of these bones belonged to the warden at all.

"Did you find anything of interest?" Henric asks as the two finish their search. found so much so much left to find keep looking she must be here somewhere cant be dead yet His fingers gently rub at his temples and he struggles to remember the time. It would be several hours before he could sleep, at any rate. "If not, perhaps we should press on. The badge has to be around here somewhere." He glances at the stagnant water gently lapping around his calves with the party's movements, taking a moment of silence in memory of a good pair of shoes.

How deep is the water? Ankle-deep? Knee-deep? Waist-deep?

female Lashunta Psychic 2 | HP 12/12 | AC 11 (15 with Mage Armor), TAC 11, FF 10 (14 with mage armor) | F +2, R +2, W +3 | Init +2 | Per +0 | Phrenic Pool 2/4 | Detect Thoughts (Sp) 2/2 | Spells: 1-4/5

Argh! If only I'd taken that as a spell known it might help us out about now, oh well, maybe as my next cantrip.

Seliina looked rather disgusted by the lack of success, her antenae wriggling in a more agitated manner than normal as she said, "I haven't found anything, maybe it's under some debris, or was taken further into the ruins by something?" She stood there thinking a moment, the wriggling slowing as she did, she tapped the index finger of her right hand against her lips and had cocked her hip to the left as she did. After a moment she continued, "Let me try something before we do, just to make sure we didn't miss anything under the water here." With a moments focus four balls of light appeared and dipped down into the water as they spread out. With the new light source she began to look once more at the floor.

Perception: 1d20 ⇒ 7

I cast dancing lights and direct them to go below the water in the room.

Ioann stands up from the pile of debris, his face as angry as usual, and shakes his head at Henric's question.

"Don't bother searching .... must be those #*&% ghosts playing tricks with us. Well, we will show them. Should we get the other cursed items, or simply wade through those weak spirits? What say you Ingrid, Terrance?" the man says, letting the anger take over for a moment.

Noisely walking through the water toward the closest opening, dagger in hand, Ioann realises his lost of countenance. Clenching his fist, he calms himself down and tries to think the situation over.
"Better, where would guard Hawkran go? If we can figure that out from the map, maybe we focus our search from his body in some specific areas. I am thinking of the stairs that lead upstairs."

"I'd say we keep at it and focus on finding the badge. I felt something pulling me in the direction of the bones but we haven't found anything here. If we could figure out where he most likely was when he died that could be helpful." Ingrid says looking at the bones with a hint of frustration.

Boss Lady Dragon of the Early Evening

It doesn't specify a depth for the water, just says "murky pool" so I'm going to go with ankle to knee deep depending on where you stand.

"Perhaps it was nothing more than the trapped, lost spirits calling out for Pharasma's embrace?" Kendra mused. "There were guards down here who died that night as well. Good men."

Male Aasimar (Plumekith) Occultist (Psychodermist/Reliquarian) (AC 25/17/20; HP 52/52; Fort +9, Ref +10, Will +8; Init +8, Perception +17, CMD 22)

"Worth a try." Ingrid says kneeling and placing a hand in the midst of the bones. With a whispred prayer a silvery glow envelops her hand spreading into the immediate area. "Rest now and know the Lady's peace." she whispers.

Henric watches as the others debate the course of action, noting their reactions and mannerisms. Ioann, determined and headstrong. Ingrid, frustrated at the apparent failure. Terrance, doggedly continuing to search. And... Seliina. As his eyes fall on the angle of her hip and the regular tapping of her finger at her lips, for a moment her features shift. She's...

She's Mei, her black hair hanging straight like a heavy curtain around her ears, staring at the calligraphy before her in confusion. The floor is cool against his bare feet as he approaches, still wearing the dust of the road in his hair and skin, brown against blue shining gold in the sunset light from the window...

He blinks, and the memory fades, everything rushing back into the present. He's Henric. He's Henric, he's in an old prison looking for a badge, and his feet are soaked through his shoes. He needs some more sensible boots if these expeditions are to become common.

With a glance to Ingrid as she attempts to lay the bones to rest with what appears to be divine powers (of which he takes another note), he follows Ioann. Purpose would help keep his head clear.

Boss Lady Dragon of the Early Evening

Ingrid feels a soft sigh from the bones and a breeze shifts through the room, clearing away some of the musky smell of rot and mildew. The room almost seems peaceful, for the time being.

As you make your way into the next darkened area, your eyes strain to adjust. Four dark hallways exit from this large empty chamber, one of which you just left. Each striking out in one of the four directions of the compass, and each decorated with a soot-caked brass nameplate affixed to the ceiling just above the entrance. A rubble-choked stairway leads up in the middle of the room, while eight skeletons dressed in scorched prisoners’ robes lie on the ground.

Seliina was seemingly oblivious of Heinric's observation of her and followed along when she failed to find anything in the murk. She kept the bouncing lights with them making sure to keep the things in a position to not blond them while providing light to see by. When they reached the intersection she said, "So, bunch of skeletons in the middle, if they stay that way when we get closer I'll be truly shocked, and three other exits. We should probably do something about those first."

Standing up, Ingrid looks toward the skeletons, shifting the position of her sword as she advances. "Terrance, be ready should they rise." she says intently.

Male (Channel 2/2 (Will DC 9) (D6)),(Acid Dart 7/7 (d6+1)),(Protection ability 7/7) Dwarf Cleric 1 (HP 9/9),(AC16/15, T 10/10, FF 16/15 +4 vs Giant Subtype (With/Without Shield)),(Saves F4, R1, W7 +4 vs Spell,SLA, +2 vs Poison),(CMB 2, CMD 12),Init 0, Perception 5 +2 vs Stonework

Aye, I will be ready. He hefts his warhammer, and slowly starts to make his way to the pile of skeletons.

"Got your back." whispers Ioann in his hoarse voice to Ingrid.

As he advances, keeping only a step between himself and the paladin, he slowly unwraps the bundle he had been carrying, unveiling an oversized sword as long as he his tall.

Boss Lady Dragon of the Early Evening

I need to you guys to move yourselves on the map. So much in this dungeon is triggered by proximity. I need to be able to see if you're close enough to things for events to happen.

Also, until further notice, we're just going to pretend Ravel doesn't exist with the party. I don't want to cut the character out completely yet but the party is big enough right now that I don't need to keep pushing her along.

Twilight, did you get that PM ?

Boss Lady Dragon of the Early Evening

Even though the description I gave you from the book mentions the skeletons, they're actually located on the opposite side of the rectangular structure in the middle (staircase that the deadfall was triggered on). So no one is close enough to trigger anything yet.

The room remains quiet. The lights created by Seliina offer a soft glow, but the room almost seems to swallow the light as it fails to reach the darkest shadows in the corners of the room.

Approaching the skeletons with Ingrid, Ioann takes a few quick steps to pass in front of her and poke the remains with the point of his sword.

Darkvision is a good thing

"I appreciate the sentiment Ioann, but I can see in pitch darkness. It might be better for me to go ahead." Ingrid suggests with a hint of a smile in her voice.

Boss Lady Dragon of the Early Evening

Ioann pokes at the skeletons and they begin to rattle around.

Everyone gets a surprise round action.
