Not sure if we're all supposed to post here or not, but since I just noticed this thread, I'll toss out my AP wishlist to play from start to finish, in no particular order:

Ironfan Invasion
Giantslayer
Crown of the Kobald King
The Dragon's Demand (Not technically an AP, but close enough)

I know they're all older adventures (Otherwise known as classics!), but I've never gotten a chance to play them, especially not from the start. So if anyone is so inclined to run one of them...give me a hollar.

I'd also like to express interest in these, except Giantslayer which I've done most of. I could probably drum up 1-3 more players depending on format/time/etc.

I'd like to play Ironfang Invasion because some of my friends want me to run it in-person.

I'm also interested in playing Ironfang Invasion.

Out of curiosity, those of you wanting the ironfang ap, how important is it to you that it be set in Golarion?

For me? Not that important at all.

Somewhat important. My character concept is interwoven with some Golarion history, but I could always change those details, if necessary.

Important. I'm an old geezer that prefers to play something before he runs it.

Thank you for the answers.

Thus far, from here and elsewhere, it seems there is a fair split in terms of setting importance. Haven't really found a strong majority either way.

Scarab Sages

I'd prefer to play Ironfang on Golarion.

and not having it (mostly) on Golarion require quite a bit of rewriting.

I am the current GM of a campaign of Reign of Winter. It is a long running game (about six years) with a stable team of players/PCs. The problem is that I'm getting a bit burned out and often don't have the time necessary to workout the post to respond to a complicatd melee situation. So players have to wait for me to get the time to do the work and compose the post.

If there is a PF (1st ED) GM interested in taking over the GM duties, send me a PM or post on the campaign recruitment thread. Here is the link for the campaign. The players will have the final word, if someone volunteers for this job or if more than one does.

The campaign is about half-way through book 3. There are two PCs who have been in it from the beginning, and 4 others who have joined at later points when PCs dropped out. I'm committed to continuing as GM for now.

I'd love to get into a kingmaker game again. I've played PF1e a lot. If it's PF2e I'll have a little learning to do. But I've played dnd since 1st edition lol. So I'll learn quick. :)

Hello community,
I am recruiting through the October month for the Season of Ghosts Adventure Path from among the many fine folk I have played PFS with here, GM and player alike - and maybe some new folks too.

And yes, I will issue PFS chronicles for each of the four chapters.

Check out my Recruitment Thread - interested players have about 30 days to cobble a character together!

Cheers.

Still looking for any Kingmaker or Starfinder games. I'm a total newbie on starfinder so forgive me lol

put my characters in the Google Doc sheets, but I haven't played Pathfinder in a bit, so I'm a little rusty on the game but I'd love to play. the characters I've put in are as followed:

-tiefling enchanter or magus (haven't made up my mind) for Rise of the Runelords
-gnome paladin (will dip a level in bloodrager and fighter to go into shadowdancer) for Jade Regent
-dwarf stonelord paladin for Mummy's Mask

however I'm willing to play any 1E AP outside of Wrath of the Righteous with other characters besides the ones above, or even with said characters above, provided I edit their stats, gear, feats, skills, etc

so on top of these characters, I've just made a catfolk bloodrager (urban bloodrager) with a bloodline familiar (a cardinal, using the thrush's statistics) for any AP except Wrath of the Righteous. since she's from Sandpoint, Rise of the Runelords and Jade Regent would probably be the best but I'm willing to play this character in any AP, save for, again, Wrath of the Righteous. I've made her stats using a 20 point buy but can easily edit those to suit the campaign should they use different rules for stats.

If you're looking for Starfinder games Castamir's Flaxseed Station is the main thread for Starfinder Society game recruiting, There are several games recruiting right now most have a signed-up sheet you can fill out to join a game, without needing an application.

Recruiting for a new Giantslayer campaign. Thread here: Recruitment Thread.

removed the tiefling enchanter/magus and gnome paladin from applications. my primary focus on character is my catfolk urban bloodrager; edited the application to state that I prefer her in RotRL or JR but any 1E AP will work.

I don't think that we're gonna see a RotRL recruitment for a long while to come sadly.

well that's a shame. but hey, I'm free to play said character in any AP anyways so

It is, I've been wanting to be a player in one that actually goes past book one, as the few I've been in actually die off halfway into the first book. So the only option I ever have is to run one myself sadly. A lot of these AP's sadly face the same problem. They've got people that want to play them, just no one wanting to run them.

I've also wanted to play it since it's the first AP and the 'introduction' to Pathfinder.

@KyleS and @Shadow Dragon

if it's any consideration, I actually want to run a campaign of RotRL for years, and have had the anniversary edition on my shelf for at most 15 years, but I have no experience being a GM (I'm looking into trying Gallows of Madness as a test run first)

and before anyone asks "wait you wanna play RotRL but you have the book?", in fairness, I haven't read that book in years, and I despise cheating.

I'd want to try running some PFS1 Quests before trying to run anything else. I still need to sit down and see how to work Google Slides.

Honestly I wouldn't mind that you haven't GM'd before. You're admitting it right of the bat, so there's no real deception going on there (that I've sadly experienced in the past). This AP isn't extremely complicated to run either thankfully off the bat, so if you can be open to some critique from your players until you can get into your own rhythm, you'll be fine.

As for the whole "you own it and are cheating" crowd, that crowd is actually smaller than you may think. I mean when you take a look at PF2e and Foundry, there are so many players turning GMs because Foundry makes things so much smoother at times that you practically have to vow that you will never browse any kind of social media or look in any forums to avoid anything that could remotely spoil the adventure. Even AoN is off limits because that could spoil something. It's a matter of how you approach it and being able to separate the metagame aspects. I've got a character that's built for Book 1, but it's not designed to power game that book, it's designed for me to see how they could develop in that situation. And I've got one for Book 2 as well. Just cause you own an adventure doesn't mean you're automatically cheating as a player. It's just allowing you to have ideas of how you want to approach it as a player.

That does make me feel a lot better about the idea of me GMing RotRL. I absolutely want to GM it ASAP, but I need to get things in order first. Like learning how to use Google Slides, like Shadow Dragon said.

Go into the RotRL section of the forums, there's clarifications for each chapter, but there's also a lot of community created stuff such as maps, handouts, expanded information on NPCs, and all kinds of extras that you can choose to add to help make feel a little different rather than just copy/paste from the book.

If you know how to use discord, that works too, and I find it much easier to deal with and organize. I have even run some games exclusively through discord.

I personally like the slower pace of PbPs (at least with the one I joined), and I'm more familiar using the dice here than dice bots for Discord. but thank you for the suggestion

Discord can be done at pbp pace. There is no need to post immediately nor to use voice chat if the group doesn't want to.

Discord is amazingly flexible. Given the screen sharing abilities, it can even be a virtual tabletop if you've got the right setup.

But that also means it can do pbp really well too, and it has the benefit of being not only entirely under your control, but tou can have as many threads as desired and organized as you need, even including private threads for each of your players if you want, and the PMs are so much better than paizo's pm (sorry paizo but it really is a major weakpoint of the site).

I played one PFS1 scenario on Discord and it was a bit jarring for me. I prefer the Paizo forums but I know many people favor Discord.

May I ask what was so jarring about it?

Can I get a link to the Discord? I'd like to check it out.

? Just make your own.

In retrospect, you might not know anything about discord.
Here's the homepage: https://discord.com/

Make a free account. You can join existing servers, but you can also make servers, for free. Your server is yours and up to you to manage and run as you see fit and can even add your own bots (if you have a place to host them) or use bots provided by others around the internet such as averea (I think that's the name).

On your server you can make channels and channel groups and set permissions and create roles with their own permissions (a good way to run multiple groups and keep them seeing only their own gameplay threads).

Oh no, I completely misread your post. I thought you were saying that there was a Discord for a thread such as this. I am plenty familiar with Discord, I just keep joining servers and lurking for advice and chiming in when I can, and only have a couple that I'm actively talking in lol.

Either way, still good information for those who might not know.

if I somehow derailed this thread regarding me being a GM I apologize. but I have found the RotRL thread and have been saving some resources. I might try to set it up for next month, if I can.

GM DarkLightHitomi wrote:

Good question, it's been so long ago I don't remember much except I didn't like it. I prefer the 'static' post-style display here whereas I think Discord was more of a 'stream' of posts. I missed more posts, cues it was my turn, etc. on Discord than I've ever had here.

I see. I would expect that from live sessions or big groups, then again, I've run into that experience right here on the paizo boards. The tales of agartha campaign was like that, posting too fast to keep up with.

Somehow I wasn't able to dot in the gameplay thread.....

Looking to play sanctioned AP or AP in campaign mode for PFS credit.
Current available PFS characters:
-Furen E Lustariolv3 Undine Cleric(Varisian Pilgrim) of Abadar a.k.a melee cleric
-Kihel Rosenthal lv3 Half-Elf Bard(Chronicler of Worlds/Studious Librarian) of Magdh a.k.a intelligence bard
-Nonoriri Rosenthal lv2 Half-Elf Bloodrager(Metamagic Rager/Urban Bloodrager)

And I have many more character ideas if a fresh level 1 is needed. All characters in my Paizo profile that doesn't have a pbp headers or a level number is a 0xp character that I have planned out to lv11. Archer Inquisitor, healer oracle, TWF warpriest, arhcer Vigilante, wizard, archer bard, melee occultist, a medium whose goal is to sololy slay a dragon, a ninja, etc...

This poor guy has started 3 or 4 different campaigns, all of which fizzled out early. He has adventured in both 1e as well as 2e. All he really wants to do is protect the forest and raise a crop of leshies to populate it.

I'd love another crack at adventuring, either in another campaign or as a solo artist. If anyone would be willing to run some pbp solo adventures for BB, his person would reciprocate by dming for a character. Brightberry just wants to live!

I have tried twice to play Extinction Curse and both attempts have managed to fizzle out in the first two sessions. Same goes for Kingmaker and Ruins of Azlant for both editions. I’d def like to try Ruins of Azlant again tho, either in 1E or 2E.

I have a Changeling Rogue, a Azarketi Fighter and a Sylph Ranger/Hunter (depends on the Edition) to bring in for such a game. I can also build a new character, but that will probably take a bit longer.

Have officially made a character to put on that list, namely Vienna Porke, a Halfling Bard available for plenty of 1e titles as well as any 2e Title.

So a lot of players were submitted to this thread and five were chosen, but for the rest of us we're still looking for games to play.

Pathfinder Maps, Pathfinder Accessories, Starfinder Society Subscriber; Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Superscriber

Forever GM that would love to play pretty much any AP, 1st or 2nd ed.

Ano Clovermark here has been left out from not one, but two, RotRL campaigns (no disrespect to the DMs if they read this, there were several incredible options to choose from), and I'd love to play her in said AP. I am willing to go single character campaign with gesalt (and take in some NPCs as cohorts) if needed. Character was made with 20 point buy, background skills and Elephant in the Room rules.

Juriya would also fit into a RotRL campaign. Character built on changing as much as possible to INT-based and feinting her way through life. Would love a chance to actually try the Kitsune Trickster.

Juriya Arima wrote:

Juriya and I talked, and we're both willing to be in the same campaign, even if it's just us two as gesalt characters.

A Bazaar (Market place) for Pathfinder 1E games has opened, all are welcome.
But you must pay the exchange fee to play.
