Wrong checks/DCs but right rolls, so hey ho. Bordan failed one by more than 5 so doesn't move, he failed the second by less than 5 though so thankfully doesn't fall.
Bordan attempts to take a narrow tightrope between two of the buildings, but falls and just catches himself.
Eric casts a spell and the image of men shouting incoherently forms in front of Trinia, but she ploughs right through the illusion as though it's not there.
Basil moves slowly and carefully across the buildings roofs. Move to card 2. It's safer up here than in that mob on your own ;)
Rojerik attempts to close the distance to Trinia in the same way Bordan did, but also fails to make progress.
Gwen, could you run Bordan while he's not around?
Trinia keeps moving forward. New photo in google drive with the updated cards.

Guinevere "Gwen" Duchamp |

Borden chooses a more careful approach this time moves to card 2.
Gwen spots one hazardous but quite useful route and decides to take the risk:
6: Narrow Rooftop Leap: Acrobatics (Jump) DC 15
: 1d20 + 4 + 2 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 + 2 + 4 = 28
2: Crumbling Rooftop: Acrobatics DC 20: 1d20 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 4 + 2 = 8
Reroll with one H. Point
2: Crumbling Rooftop: Acrobatics DC 20: 1d20 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 4 + 2 = 18
Reroll with one H. Point!!!
2: Crumbling Rooftop: Acrobatics DC 20: 1d20 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 4 + 2 = 26
With an almost incredible catch at the last moment, Gwen manages to avoid a crumbling spot in the rooftop and gets right behind Trinia.
Gwen has used 3 harrow points, one to get +10 base speed - hence the +2 AND +4 to jump - and two to reroll that awful Acrobatics check. She should be on card 5 now.

Erik Copper |

Erik curses and carefully levers himself out the window. Taking a deep breath, he approaches the tightrope and places his foot on it.
Tightrope Shortcut - Acrobatics, DC 20: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 15
Almost slipping, he pulls his foot back and curses. He can barely see Trinia from where he stands.

Rojerick Alandsson |

Roj looks at the narrow ledges, shakes his head, and chooses to move more slowly.
Just going to take the "Skip This One" option and advance slowly, since I think that's a choice. I'll be more risky when I don't need an 18 to progress.

![]() |

While everyone else takes care to move forward, Gwen takes some huge risks, but ultimately they pay off, and she gains ground on Trinia.
Trinia pauses slightly to use a wand, aimed at Gwen. DC 11 Will save or be affected by a Daze spell.
Round 3.

Guinevere "Gwen" Duchamp |

Gwen's will save: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14
"You have to be KIDDING me. Put away that wand right now miss, I'm the one who's trying to SAVE you, you IDIOT!"
Does she also move to the next card?

Guinevere "Gwen" Duchamp |

Borden uses one harrow point to gain +10 base speed for this encounter and the relevant bonuses.
I checked his char sheet and I think his Acrobatics is 7 not 8, he probably simply forgot to add the ACP when he switched from studded leather to chain shirt (even with Armor expert, that's still -1 ACP)
Having seen the stunt performed by Gwen, Borden decides to try and follow in her footsteps:
6: Narrow Rooftop Leap: Acrobatics (Jump) DC 15: 1d20 + 2 + 4 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 2 + 4 + 7 = 19
2: Crumbling Rooftop: Acrobatics DC 20: 1d20 + 2 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 2 + 7 = 13
Reroll with one HPoint
2: Crumbling Rooftop: Acrobatics DC 20: 1d20 + 2 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 2 + 7 = 21
and he manages to land right next to Gwen, all the while trying to convince Trinia to quit running.
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (4) + 8 = 12
I hope Borden won't be mad at me for being such a spendthrift with HIS harrow points!

Guinevere "Gwen" Duchamp |

Gwen sees a chance to catch up with the fugitive and goes for it!
3: Gap in Wall: Escape Artist DC 15: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
Of course.
Reroll with one H. Point:
3: Gap in Wall: Escape Artist DC 15: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19 Yes!
Finally landing on the same spot as Trinia, Gwen tries to grab her arm to stop her from running again:"Listen, now, we've been sent to take you in custody and away from the mob. Do you understand? We want you alive, they want you dead!"
Grapple attempt (provokes an AoO): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11
Reroll w... uh, never mind.

Rojerick Alandsson |

Roj uses a Harrow Point to increase his speed, feeling the Dawnflower's strength and speed behind him. He throws himself through the air over the narrow gap...
Acrobatics (Jump): 1d20 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 + 2 = 24
...and manages to clear it. Eyeing the crumbling rooftop, he shakes his head, content with the distance he's gained.

![]() |

Still need Eric's action, but in the mean time.
Trinnia strikes back at Gwen with the dagger in her hand, distracting her just enough to disrupt her attempt to grab.
1d20 + 8 ⇒ (15) + 8 = 23 1d4 ⇒ 3
Gwen takes 3HP of damage.

Erik Copper |

Eric tries to move to the next rooftop.
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 20
Sweating bullets, he manages to cross the tightrope.
Does this put him on card three? Can he cast a spell this round as well, and if so, how far is Trinia from him?

Borden Read |

Thanks Gwen!! I'm off to China until the 25th but will try to be posting once a day.
Oi! Down with the pig sticker missy - we're REALLY trying to help but not while you are trying to kill us, attempting a disarm.
Triggers AoO from Trinia
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25
Hah! He says as he slaps the dagger from her hand.

Guinevere "Gwen" Duchamp |

Sorry Borden, if I'm not mistaken you're not in the same spot as Trinia. She was ahead of us; on your turn you moved to the *card* that Gwen was in but then in the same round Gwen moved two cards ahead and managed to get to Trinia. So, if my calculations are correct, at the end of this round you're still two cards behind both Gwen and Trinia.
Awaiting GM's confirmation on the above.

![]() |

Right oh. Please don't post next turn's action until we are through though, it's what's causing a lot of the confusion.
Trinnia mutters something and points at Gwen, then makes a running jump up a long steep route to get away.
Gwen Will DC15
Round 4
Bordan has that 20 to carry over, Eric is standing still.

Guinevere "Gwen" Duchamp |

Ok, Borden is on card 5. He uses the 20 from the previous roll to pass check n. 8 (Tightrope Shortcut), then rolls for check n. 3: Gap in Wall: Escape Artist DC 15.
Seeing Gwen incapacitated, Borden decides to take a greater risk in order to narrow the gap between him and Trinia:
Gap in Wall: Escape Artist DC 15: 1d20 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 2 + 1 = 10
but fails to pass through the gap and advances only two cards, landing in card n. 7, right next to the laughing lady.
Gwen desperately tries to regain control:
Gwen's will save against DC 15: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13
but Trinia's spell has a tight hold on her so she continues to laugh uncontrollably.
Sh*tty rolls guys, sorry.

![]() |

Ouch, this will be round two, you will keep laughing for another three rounds.....
With Gwen in fits of uncontrollable hysterics, everyone else advances steadily. Bordan takes a tightrope shortcut with ease, Eric attempts to leap a narrow gap, but bottles it at the last moment and instead stands petering on the edge. Trinia uses her natural dexterity to move across a cluttered rooftop that would slow most down.
Round 5
E card 2
Ba card 5
Ro card 6
Bo,Gw card 7
Trin card 11

Rojerick Alandsson |

Glancing at Trinia's route, Roj shakes his head. She could have cut across this roof and saved a few seconds. I'll give it a try.
Perception: 1d20 ⇒ 20 Shortcut
Running across the roof, he sees another steep section and once again rushes at it, scrambling up it and gaining more ground.
Climb: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20 Roof

![]() |

Eric slows down and simply focuses on moving to the next set of obstacles. Erik is abysmmal at this. Just auto-progressing, no rolls this round.
Yeah, it's definitely made to give people who put ranks in acrobatic skills an edge. All those sneaky roof dwelling rogues.
There's actually a subtle theme that Logue had in mind for this AP. 6 parts, six stats. Each part is keyed to a stat. This is very much Dex, but if I remember right the other authors didn't follow suit. Which is a shame, because *everyone* has at least one decent stat so gets to shine for 1 part.

![]() |

As Gwen still continues her helpless laughter, the others trudge purposely forward, taking care more than trying to jump ahead. Roj is the exception, making good headway.
Remember most of you should have some ranged effects you can use too
Trinia moves cautiously forward.
Round 6, you are all up.

Rojerick Alandsson |

Perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 2 = 16
Climb: 1d20 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 3 + 2 = 11
Ducking into a gap between two buildings, Roj runs along the rickety wooden walkway. As he goes, he breathlessly thanks Sarenrae for showing him the path, which ends in a steep roof. Spotting a few handholds, he pulls himself to the top, closing the gap with Trinia once again.
Should be starting on Card 7 this time and ending on 10. I mean, I'll take starting on 9 and ending on 12, but I think you're wrong about my position. If not, then the Climb should be Acrobatics, which gives me a 10, which still moves me forward.

Guinevere "Gwen" Duchamp |

Gwen still has the tanglefoot bag. I know it's a long shot (literally) but perhaps someone might try and slow down that bi... ehm, girl, I meant girl.

Rojerick Alandsson |

Grapple: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22
Roj throws himself forward, catching the girl by her feet. "Sorry, miss, but you'll just have to trust it's for your own good." As the two fall to the roof and start sliding toward the edge, he grabs an arm and dodges a kick, struggling to pin Trina while avoiding the drop below. After a few seconds, they stop just a couple feet away.
Assuming a 22 is good enough to grapple. I don't promise I'll roll high enough to keep her grappled, or to pin her, so if you guys would hurry, that'd be great!

Guinevere "Gwen" Duchamp |

Great! Well done Roj!!! Hold on, I'll be there as soon as this d**ned laughter subsides ;-) How many more rounds GM?

![]() |

Trin AoO: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 27 1d4 ⇒ 2
Trin Crit?: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (16) + 8 = 241d4 ⇒ 2
As everyone moves forward, Roj makes another concerted effort. He finally catches Trinnia and grabs hold of her. She stabs him hard with her dagger, but he manages to keep a tight grip.
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15
Trin tries to wriggle free of Roj's hold, but doesn't make any headway.
Round6
I think you should be free of the spell in round 8 Gwen.

Rojerick Alandsson |

Grapple (To Pin): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 17
Struggling to keep the desperate girl from escaping, Roj gets a hold of Trinia's other arm. Pulling her arms back, he does his best to keep her from being able to stab him again.
Game Over?
