Hello, just to let you know that I'll be attending a major game fair this coming week-end so I won't be able to post.

Rojerick Alandsson |

Alright, here goes.
I’ve been dealing with a lot of things in my life, including a job that’s mentally exhausting, a girlfriend, and stress about graduate school applications. Plus, I’ve recently started having a social life in my town, albeit a little one, and taken up a few old hobbies. The long and short of it is that I’ve been thinking heavily about where I want to be spending my time, and posting in as many games as I’m isn’t what I want to be doing anymore, so I’m going to be cutting back by about half.
I’ve genuinely enjoyed my time playing Rojerick, but he’s grown stale over the last four or five months. I’d hoped that exploring a relationship with Mrs. Soldado might help to ease some of the staleness, but it hasn’t happened. I hope we can part on good terms, and that you can find someone who’s interested in filling the space.

No problem Aest. These things happen. Hopefully we will still be here if you decide you want to come back.
This module is *really* roleplay heavy for the first part, which has caused a huge slow down. I don't think that's anyone's fault in particular, but I'm hoping that it will kick back up a bit when we get into some more focused action.

It's around 2 weeks since most of you last posted, 1 week for Basil, and Bordan's the only one keeping this going.
What's up folks?
Aest has dropped, taking Roj with him as above, but the rest of you have been intermittent at best for the last few months.
What's going wrong?
What do we need to change up?

Good question.
As far as I'm concerned, work - and life in general - have been more demanding than ever and I find myself coming home mentally exhausted and with very little energy to keep the game flowing. I don't want to give up, I like this campaign and how you are working to keep it going, Nevynxxx, but I have to admit that my contribution has been intermittent lately.
I can't guarantee that I'll be able to do better in the coming weeks: there's no respite in sight for the time being.
I'd like to go on but I will accept any decision you make, including retiring Gwen if you feel the campaign flow would improve by recruiting new players.
It's up to you, really: despite my best wishes and intentions, this is the best I can give right now.

I'm still here, but like the others have been slammed of late with work and travel. I dig the game, like the group, and enjoy playing Erik. I'm good to keep going if the others are.

Just jumping back to this. A trend I notice is that something happens, someone responds in character, and then no one else does. So all party decisions seem to be being made by the first player to see the updated thread.
Is that actually true, or just me over-thinking it? If it's right, is it because your having trouble checking in as frequently as once per day, or because you're checking in, seeing someone has handled it and continuing?
I often wait to post for a day or so to gather other options, but they don't seem to come very often and I wonder if that's what's slowing everything down.

Can only speak for me. I am struggling with health and other issues atm.
I like the game and am happy to chip in but it does seem like participation in the game has waned.
It could be the pacing, it could be the other issues.

I'm a bit hesitant about continuously posting decisions and the like, but I also think that moving the game forward right now is key. Are we going to be replacing Roj? Maybe some new blood would help pick things up.

One of the things with PBPs on there is that the way things get listed, momentum builds. So even if you post an out of character "should we do this?" It pushes stuff up to the top, and builds things...
I'm really not that worried about in-char vs out of char discussion.

Mate - I think we need to recommit on who's in and who's out... :(
Not sure the game has the legs otherwise.

I'm feeling the same. Between real life issues (which I totally get) and the huge amount of world building this module of the AP starts out with we've lost a lot of momentum.
We can pull it back if we have the souls around still to get that momentum up. But with just you and Basil posting, it's not going to happen.
