Arkanost |
Sorry for the delay, had less internet than expected on the vacation.
Arkanost will quickly scurry to the top of the map, (near the green bar), pull out a handful of gears, and use Launch Gears (Sp). He should be able to hit both riders without hitting allies.

Achren the Sculptor |
Fort save, DC 18: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (2) + 9 = 11 Well that's annoying. I don't suppose anybody carries Cure Blindness/Deafness as part of their standard loadout?
Gossan, Warpriest of Irori |
wall of force blocks spells effects (only thing that works trough wall of force is teleport and d-door so you cannot cast a summon spell inside a force sphere and have the creature appear outside
I concur with DireMerc on this. Note that the dome is a hemisphere connected to the ground. You could summon anything with earth glide or maybe burrow in the dome with you and have it burrow or glide out. my society wizard has done it with an earth elemental.
DireMerc |
I played a game once were we would have 1 on 1 matches between players (arena type game) my conjuration wizard would begin the fight by casting stone wall and then follow up by summoning earth elementals. Good times...As a note your familiar cannot use a summon spell for you either. He can only deliver touch spells or receive spells that only target yourself.

Earth Glide (Ex)
A burrowing earth elemental can pass through stone, dirt, or almost any other sort of earth except metal as easily as a fish swims through water. If protected against fire damage, it can even glide through lava. Its burrowing leaves behind no tunnel or hole, nor does it create any ripple or other sign of its presence. A move earth spell cast on an area containing a burrowing earth elemental flings the elemental back 30 feet, stunning the creature for 1 round unless it succeeds on a DC 15 Fortitude save.
Earth Mastery (Ex)
An earth elemental gains a +1 bonus on attack and damage rolls if both it and its foe are touching the ground. If an opponent is airborne or waterborne, the elemental takes a –4 penalty on attack and damage rolls. These modifiers apply to bull rush and overrun maneuvers, whether the elemental is initiating or resisting these kinds of attacks. (These modifiers are not included in the statistics block.)

Achren the Sculptor |
Unable to see, Achren takes to the air to escape the assault.
Plan is to move 50' away from the melee, dismiss the eidolon suit, then summon a Celestial Ankylosaurus (which will have DR 5/evil) behind the raptors. Seems like the best he can contribute now.
DireMerc |
The Raptor has Spell resistance 20 so roll for spell pen Devyhn.

Gossan, Warpriest of Irori |
Hmm. I have a 33, three 24s, and a nat 1, so I think that has to be 1 hit or 4 hits. And I managed to forget to add the +4 damage per hit for Divine Favor. So I think I did 87 points of damage to that guy. Do the raptors act any differently if their riders are down?
DireMerc |
Hmm your right that was one solid blow not 3. Rider has ac 25 and raptor has 18. By my count that rider had only taken one hit previously on your last turn and another one this turn. He's badly injured but not down quite yet although another good hit would drop him and he is stunned. The raptors fight to the death, they are intelligent and loyal.
Gossan, Warpriest of Irori |
Such is life. At least he is stunned. :) Things will improve when half my rolls are above 10. lol

He then scowls at the dead goblins.
"Playing dirty. Not cool."

Gossan, Warpriest of Irori |
These small ones were tougher than I would have guessed. Perhaps their gear is well enchanted?
Anatoli Ghrymm |
dismissing the emergency force sphere Anatoli steps out and brushes himself off a bit and says there are a lot more of those through that portal into that jungle in there. They have been chasing me for weeks trying to corner and kill me. I am so glad to be here and have your help. My name is Anatoli, pleased to meet you.
DireMerc |
A lot of their stuff is magical actually heck even the raptors have magical gear. Lets see they have the same gear so 2 of each.
Magical lances, Wands, magical mithril chain shirts, magical rings, masterwork military saddles, magical mithril bardings for the raptors, magical amulets for the raptors.
To prove his point you see another goblin on a raptor come out of the bush and stand in front of the portal he looks around and leaves apparently not seeing you.
Gossan, Warpriest of Irori |
Well met Anatoli. I am Gossan Warprist of Torag. says the stony man. Weeks you say? You must indeed be tired. Do you need to rest?
Lyaro Swordstar |
Lyaro will set about identifying the magic items looking at the workmanshipkn arcana or spellcraft for the rolls?
"There seems to be a bunch of useful stuff and valuable as well, good for trade."
Gossan, Warpriest of Irori |
Strangely Gossan does not need the amulets of mighty fist +1. He will offer to hold one of the wands of Cure Mod to use for the party.
Achren the Sculptor |
Achren shrugs. "Take the wands. We can use the rest to trade, like Lyaro said." As he speaks he takes out a wand of his own and uses it to repair the tears in his armor.
He'll use his wand of Lesser Rejuvenate Eidolon to repair his suit. Minimum of 7 uses so I'll start with 7d10 and see where it gets me.
7 charges: 7d10 + 7 ⇒ (3, 3, 2, 2, 4, 4, 6) + 7 = 31 Ugh
4 charges: 4d10 + 4 ⇒ (9, 3, 8, 3) + 4 = 27 Almost there
3 charges: 3d10 + 3 ⇒ (5, 6, 6) + 3 = 20 Just a little over, not too much wasted
Arkanost |
"Hi! I'm Arkanost. So, we were going to go through the jungle. But it seems to be full of goblins. Do you know anything about the burnt area?"
Achren the Sculptor |
Oh, good call. He'll take a minute and re-summon the suit.
Achren nods at the door to the burnt region. "They look like the same area, just one burned and one not. I'd be willing to bet the burned place is just as dangerous as the jungle. And probably with more fire and smoke."
DireMerc |
Actually I looked into it a bit more. If the eidolon is killed it cannot be re-summoned for 24 hours. However when the eidolon takes damage you can actually decided to sacrifice any number of your own hit points. Each hit point sacrificed this way prevents 1 point of damage done to the eidolon so you can keep him alive at 1 hp this way (lets say this is what you did)
I also want to mention that while you can explore the portals it is not necessary to do so you can also proceed further into the dungeon there is another door.
Devyhn Rhyker |
”The portals may simply be a means of keeping the complex stocked with dangerous creatures. Our information didn’t indicate that the artifact would be in a portal to another realm, but somewhere in the lower reaches of the dungeon,” Devyhn offers.
