Posting to all my games:
Thank you for waiting and/or botting me. You deserve the truth, and the truth is I lost my job -- in part because I got a little obsessed with the fun I was having here.
I have prided myself on never dropping out of a game, but that ends today. I'm close to landing a new job, but even so I need to devote myself to it for quite some time before I'll feel comfortable again.
So, I'm sorry, but I have to leave you. You'll know I'm back when I post again looking for a new game, but until then I'm going 100% silent.
Again, my apologies for abandoning you. I know that you'll understand. It has been fun, and I treasure the adventures we've had together.
Consider this a friendly request to replace me or move on without me. Good luck and have fun!
-"Caro"

Oh by the way, Nahoce, you are at the last battle of book 5 and have played more than a good portion of the scenario, you still get pfs credit if you want it.
Just leave the us the character you want this applied too. And good luck with getting that new job.

Kaylor Traice |

Sorry to hear that! Best of luck finding a new job!

Elmar Thonsson |

Elmar will take one of the rings of protection. I think either of you two could have fun with the Ring of Stony Flesh, and I guess we may as well keep the Dune Boat. The Bracelets could be fun.
But that Sarcophagus, man, that's like the entire plot of Stargate right there. Who's looking forward to living forever?

Elmar Thonsson |

So, I'm selling the useless loot (taking it off the loot sheet). Anyone who wants to can buy a +4 Glamered Mithral Chain Shirt, +3 Ring of Protection, or +2 Keen Scimitar at half-price.
Otherwise, we each get an additional 75,333 gp.
Meanwhile, Elmar is setting aside 200k gp to buy a respectable castle once we finish this (or turn the sky pyramid into a proper livable fortress, if we clear it out completely). He's also getting Leadership as his level 15 feat, so that he can start recruiting for his own knightly order, the Exorcists of Osirion.

DoubleGold |

Game reported, if Zub can get chronicle sheets out to us for the 5th book, that would be great. If I applied to the wrong character, let me know so I can change it.

DoubleGold |

I just recruited 2 new people, I have them waking you all up in the inn at 6:00 am in the morning, roleplay that how you'd like after they make there posts.

Elmar Thonsson |

Ooh! Maybe they can be new recruits hired by Kaylor and Elmar, since we're trying to start a knightly order of mummy-remurderers? Or not.

Ankhet, Beloved of Sarenrae |

Hello everybody, nice to be here and thanks for accepting Ankhet!

Elmar Thonsson |

Also, welcome to the last book of Mummy's Mask. Our party's a bit amusing at this point—Kaylor is an extremely shy bucket of murder who dodges everything, Elmar has no greater joy in life than destroying mummies, and Zuberu just sort of grapples everything while taking off his clothes.

Also, welcome to the last book of Mummy's Mask. Our party's a bit amusing at this point—Kaylor is an extremely shy bucket of murder who dodges everything, Elmar has no greater joy in life than destroying mummies (and gets so many attacks per round that he usually doesn't use them all), and Zuberu just sort of grapples everything while taking off his clothes.

Ankhet, Beloved of Sarenrae |

Oh man even more channelers!
Yeah I know, it's pretty strange in such a non undead-heavy campaign, right? ;-D
Anyway don't worry, I can keep you out if needed. Seriously, is there anyone in the party with negative energy affinity? Just so that I don't unintentionally hurt anybody.
DoubleGold |

as me recruiting 2 more players, I like to announce that Silver Bullet is leaving us. He is off to work for the government.

Kaylor Traice |

I don't think anybody has negative energy affinity.

Ankhet, Beloved of Sarenrae |

Evil outsider, hmmm... Here's the chance to make good use of that feat tax (Alignment Channel).

Kaylor Traice |

So I got an item that increases Kaylor's int. As such, I now have skill points that I'm not sure what to do with. I'm thinking of either Knowledge History (as possibly the most useful knowledge skill that isn't maxed out), Linguistics (because who doesn't love speaking tons of languages?), or Acrobatics (because dodging. Or something).
Thoughts?

Elmar Thonsson |

Our last cleric was a Dhamphir, but she only channeled offensively, and she's gone now. And evil outsider is pretty much the only enemy type in this campaign that's not on Elmar's favored enemy list, so, cool.
Also, Kaylor: Acrobatics would let you jump, like, 40 feet.

Calardan Amorath Iothor |

He would have accepted (and barring nat 20s, have lost) then challenged you to a joust. Sounds like it would have been fun in a meet nnplay session.

Calardan Amorath Iothor |

I just realized I have a free feat... and no idea what to use it for. Need to figure that out before the fight. (which, I figure is destined to happen) and yes, my horse is probably tearing the door off :P but he is in there! loooooooool

Calardan Amorath Iothor |

hey man, Calardan hates undead, and he doesn't like demons/devils. to be honest he has done far less hostility than his female companion. Just be happy their isn't a paladin :P. On that note, mine and Anket's attitude vs the devil is probably unfriendly at best, considering we know its out to kill people. (at least, being a NG character) Considering that, I'd reckon our actions so far are far from muder-hoboing :P

Ankhet, Beloved of Sarenrae |

Holy vindicator of Sarenrae here. It's hard enough for me not to smite the thing on sight. You'll have your chance at diplomacy, I won't be the first to attack, but I won't be caught unprepared either.

Elmar Thonsson |

But Zuberu: I thought the only optional monsters we haven't fought in this campaign are the ones you slept with instead?
And don't worry Ankhet, Elmar is also preparing to smite the thing on sight, depending on how diplomacy goes.

Calardan Amorath Iothor |

I'm all for being prepared to defend ourselves but having your warhorse kick down the door and picking a fight Is very poor form. Yes, you are definitely murder-hobos.
\
eeeehhhh, I have done nothing to cause her to assume I am after her I simply walked downstairs and called my horse into an establishment *Whistles innocently* :P Besides, I honestly did it more for the epic/hilarious visual of it.
That said, I've always considered murder-hoboing as actually killing things, but I will keep it in mind from now on ;)
Editors note- everything I am saying is in good humor.

Kaylor Traice |

Also, Kaylor: Acrobatics would let you jump, like, 40 feet.
This is less important when you can fly. And let's face it, I already don't use those spells. So lots of languages it is! :-D
Also, a wrestling match followed by a joust would have been amusing. Especially for Remiel. Although you might have both ended up rather greasy with him trying to sell tickets to the wrestling match.

DoubleGold |

okay, so this is the last book, as I want to make this epic. Is there any specific monster that someone wants to fight, I can add that in? Also, do people want to keep the admantine ignores light and natural armor rule? If it feels too easy, understood, if you are use to it and want to keep it understood.
Is there a specific thing that someone wants to see before game end, like a cursed item, a priceless artificat, A DM created monsters, etc?

Zuberu |
Pfft. I’m still hoping for that oil-wrestling…
In all seriousness, Zuberu’s always down for an epic wrestling match. I don’t know if there’s any specific monsters that would be a good fit for that.
Between Kaylor, Elmar, and the new guy, as a group we’re going to vaporize most normal us-vs-them encounters.

Kaylor Traice |

I agree that it'd be cool for Zuberu to have an actually challenging wrestling match. As opposed to something that just tries to get away and needs to roll a nat 20 to do so.
I'll do some monster browsing and post again if I find anything interesting.

Elmar Thonsson |

The adamantine thing is probably not necessary... I don't think I even bothered to use any adamantine arrows in book 5.
Also, everybody loves Rakshasas!

Ankhet, Beloved of Sarenrae |

Just so people are aware, that first scorpion only has about 10hp left.
Kaylor has some good buffs for himself. But he doesn't use them much since combat tends not to last that long.
So... no advanced group tactics then? Just rush and smash?
