Calardan was born into a rank and file family of the crusade, his father and mother were both low ranking knights but held connections and friends in the upper echelons. Due to this while they were never prosperous, they were normally well off.

On his ninth birthday, his bloodline manifested itself in the form of simple magics, that often lead to him getting himself in trouble. While it was still unknown what gave him his magical abilities, it left his parents both frightened, and yet, extremely happy.

a couple years later, and Calardan began his training, and while the armor and shields proved far too great a hindrance on his blooming magical abilities, he always had a knack for mediation and inner thought. So, he was sent to study at a monastery for several years, where his bloodline would manifest itself in full, turning area's of his skin to scales of an illustrious silver color, and he gained magic that further protected his body and enhanced it. His abilities grew swiftly as he deftly applied himself to his training, with a goal of becoming one of the most legendary hero's spoken of across golorian. He thought of himself as the best, and always strived to push himself beyond his current boundaries in his quest, often he left many wondering if doing "good" was merely a means to an end for him, perhaps this egotistical approach came from his draconic blood. Either way, he always carried an air of superiority about him that drove some of those around him to despise him.

After returning from the monastery at 20, his dreams of grandeur only grew after his enlistment into the crusade. His parents often tried to explain that one should do good for the sake of doing good, but Calardan always laughed and said,
"What good are my deeds if none are to know of them?"

Calardan revealed in glory, often he was the first in and last out of battles or skirmishes. And while his rather narcissistic attitude was grating to many, he always did look out for others and protected those that could not protect themselves.

Personality:
Friendly, narcissistic, pompous, kind, extravagant, hard working, intelligent, witty, a little crass, sarcastic, haughty, ambitious.

While Calardan is rather narcissistic and pompous, he isn't particularly fiery in his thoughts or actions, often times people describe him as rather cool and collected. Though he can be quite loud, especially when discussing himself. He is friendly to folk, strangers included, though his idea about it being his responsibility to "protect" the lesser individuals can stunt friendships though sometimes his pure charisma and likeable nature can overcome that aspect. He is a ladies man, or likes to think he is, and rarely misses a chance to try and impress a pretty girl. Though, the same could be said for most anyone really, he just goes further out of his way for the girls. However, perhaps the only times he shows humility is when he talks of his parents, and praises them for being great people and having helped him along his way. And also when he is clearly bested, though the latter rarely happens, and if it does he always returns to set the matter straight.

While Calardan does care about folk, his true dream, or goal if you will, is to become a legendary hero, to have everyone speak of his tales and deeds for millennia to come. He wants to revel in the glory of "being the best", and have people praise his abilities with admiration ini their voice. So he always pushes himself further and further so he can aid more people and perform ever greater deeds. He has even entertained the idea of ascending to godhood, as no goal is too grand for his mind.
