Well that could get to be a little annoying when your character will die off and be reincorporatedHowever I know who I would always nominate to test out that new secret door?
If I die i would discooperate and itd take 30 min for me to recast astral projection. I imagine I'll be the guinea pig often.

Drisquar |

If you're ok with Illia being a Warlord, which is a Path of War class, I would possibly like to play a Stalker, also from PoW.
Also, I would have three class levels, as the Bralani is CR 6, yes?

Sanriel |

Effectively you are rolling your character back to the level you started the game at with Thunderbeard. Since This game is stealing the same rules and playing in a different sandbox.
... I think I could have saved quite a lot of time by just saying that to start with.

Death_Keeper |

GM_Remnant,
Ckkxxchtki here, I just wanted to tell you that I just regained online capability and am going keep an eye on the thread. I don't know if I am really going to be able to pop back in, and I don't know if you would actually want me back. However, I will definitely be happy to see this thread keep itself afloat, simply because of the fact its an evil one.
DK

Death_Keeper |

Also, I am a bit interested in what the party composition is now...?
A stalker/warlord?
A drow theurge?
A (spider) druid of course.
A succubus?
Ahhh... well drow are not known for their benevolence... would they have any prisoners on said caravan... if so I'll be dropping you a gruesome idea

Sanriel |

There is
A bralanni (angel) with levels in stalker. Not really aure of his speciality
A eryines (devil) with levels in warlord who is astoundingly tanky
A psuedodragon (undead) dracolich necromancer who is all about the undead.
A succubus (demon) with supetfluous level due to legacy awesome but I think antipaladin or some other charisma craziness once it gets to that point.
Then there is the drow theurge casty thing. Who is technically an outsider ghost possessing dirt and twigs. But effectively nearly full caster arcane/divine caster
Oh and sanriel the rediculously sneaky undead druid who summons hordes of crawlies to do his bidding.

Monkeygod |

Out of sheer curiosity and on the off chance it would be accepted,
Would I be able to build a custom race and then had a few templates from the Advanced Bestiary on top?
While they do not appear to be online yet, I do posses the PDF thanks to the Kickstarter, so I could send you the stats.

Sanriel |

*shrug*
Each of the characters have one means or another to survive death and those who cant have teleport at will.
Ramp away sir, if it has stats I imagine between us all we will find a way to kill it.
And if we cant then actually catching us will be merry hell.

Death_Keeper |

Tis okay Illia, I mean, I have been gone for like... six months, so I guess you aren't taking that long to join in xP
Though I am curious as to who is filling what role?
Are we having a leader, a mage, a tank, a support? or is everyone just doing whatever? and what do we need if we are filling roles?

Anaxian |

We already have pretty much all roles covered (and then some). Just make whatever you want. In thins sort of game the fun comes from the interesting abilities and personalities of the characters rather than the inter-party makeup.
At least that's what I noticed from the last game.

Sanriel |

Mah... so Illia doesn't know this but teleporting into Sanriel's midst is quite possibly the worst method to introduce yourself. Being a druid who fought demons as a passionate life long job would result in some interesting events were you to just pop in with a demons favored method of travel.
Not that Sanriel could be able to actually harm you just that he'd quite likely try.
Sanriel is all about the greater good, so if he is made to understand that an outsider or even a demon is to be his ally by his employers say so then he will relent but when presented with an outsider with little to hold him from eliminating it he will do so.
@Death keeper
I don't really think that this game could been seen to conform to normal party expectations. Anaxian is obviously the mage, Illia is the tank and Delyliath is quite obviously the face. Meredian fills the divine roll along with being arcane. Disqretar looked to be scouting with his wind form.
I'd also likely be support/scouting accounting Sanriels ability to move nigh undetected to all but the most perceptive of monsters. I know full well that in a straight up fight pretty much everybody else in the group could take Sanriel apart.
The 'Skill' role is shared by the multiple players with either stupendously high intelligence stats or Outsider hit dice which grant a very nice spread for skills.
I mean I suppose we don't have a devoted support character or healer but between the amount of magical support spells and supernaturally high skill checks the party has between them combat will likely be rare.
So I'd say just play what you feel is cool, I think the only thing we might be lacking is a character with ranks in disable device. Sanriel is many things but a locksmith he is not.
*looks at monkey companion*
Hrmm... I see a potential leadership target.
Anyway, I really can't see a particular role we are currently lacking.

Meredian Adriatnaic |

I'm not sure what reason I have to join the group, but if the other game happened i can simply be along for the ride on someone elses reason. Having very little else to fear Meridian spends her time gaining power and amusing herself. Traveling with interesting people is one way to accomplish that.

Death_Keeper |

Hmmmm....
What role should a high strength high wisdom, high charisma good dexterity character fill... I am kinda entertaining the thought of a Large sized rogue, but at the same time, I think a Pally-(The bad version of course) or a warmaster could be helpful... Or I could be a priest of unimaginable evil...
I just don't know what I want... or what you guys would like.

Drisquar |

Are you not planning on playing a different concept though or did you decide on Drisquar?
Still Dris, but Stalker instead of Inquisitor, and maybe a different race, we'll see. Thematically similar though, just different.

Illia- |

Illia- is afraid of many, many things. Either that, or she's been playing a long game to make people underestimate her across more than one thread. Also, Devil.
Here was her first post on the previous thread.
Illia- did look at the succubus warily once or twice. But, really, it was hard to tell who she was most wary of. Given that she currently backed into a corner. On the ceiling. Cowering behind her shield.
This group of people was SCARY!
Illia- took a deep breath to calm herself before. I am better than this, the Crimson Stranger had taught me to be a warlord! Epic and stuff! Go be inspiring!
She peeked up out over her shield. "I... Could.. Um.. Devil Contract him? That's a thing I do, I think. If he's.. You know.. Into that.. Is he delving into evil stuff? Or like, is he a good guy meddling with the evil stuff. I'd be.. Um. Against that?"
Illia smiled nervously, sinking back below her shield, Uh.. Nailed it?

Lessah |

There should be one more showing up in a day or so and they will get slotted in as it allows.
[dramatic entry]Lo and behold, as it was foretold - the "one more" has shown up![/dramatic entry]
Hello there my fellow homicidal maniacs - please put away those implements of pain and allow me a moment to introduce myself!
I am Lessah, and during the past few days (half a week? give or take) I have been exchanging PMs with your benevolent overlord GM_Remnant (Blessed be his name, sing his praise!). In his infinite wisdom he saw fit to greenlight a character for me, whom I will let you meet shortly.
But first - a bried summary of me. I played in this glorious game earlier at the dawn of time (last summer). I had the honour to play the snobbish vampire aristocrat Viktor and life was good. The plot was thick, the coffins comfortable and the blood abundant. But sadly I and Viktor drifted apart - we no longer saw eye to eye. I came to realization that I didn't like Viktor as a person - the stick up his behinds, clearly a product of an novice vampire hunter, wasn't as funny as I hoped. His personality felt a bit flat. So due to creative differences between myself and I Viktor was retired and I bowed out from the game. For the curious, Viktor is still listed under my name in the player/character tab of this game if his tale interests you.
So between the end of august and - I think last sunday - I did many things, none relevant to this. However, last sunday, I had an epiphany! For some reason, most likely the awesome piece of code that is this webpage, the discussion thread (but not the gameplay thread!) showed up in my campaign feed. So via the discussion thread I clicked in and took a look around. Then I noticed the fact that it seemed to be recruiting somehow. I wasn't sure exactly, since it seemed as if most of the process was done via PM. But on the off chance there was something going on I sent a PM to Remnant.
And here I am. I noticed a certain worry about an overly inflated number of players - I'm sorry to say that I probably pushed us up to that threshold. I'll do my best to be a pleasant/evil person to undertake this journey into the Darklands with you!
So without further ado -

*Lowers instruments of pain...* Awwww...
Hey Viktor, Its Ckkxxchtki, so I feel the same and can look you in the eye and say with quite a bit of feeling, Welcome Back, and praise be to the Remnant Lord

Jhaelwyn |

*Glares at himself* "Short introduction"? *Grumble*
*Ahem*
Can you spell arachnophobia?
My character, Jhaelwyn can. She spend plenty of years in school learning to spell among many things. And as a drider - she can give you the word both in a sentence and with a practical demonstration!
The Drider dismembered all of Bobs friends. He is skitterish around spiders now - one could say he suffered from a bad case of arachnophobia!
(Sorry Illia)
Anyway - Jhaelwyn. She is a drider witch, which lets her cast spells. Coincidentally some of those spells also creates spiders. However, her true pride and joy is not the school of conjuration, but Transmutation! Before her life as an outcast drider working for scraps and the chance to take something appart, she was an accomplished fleshwrapper. Sadly, an infected discussion ending in her current shape and an impromptu puppet show forced her to reconsider her occupation and relocating far far far away from home. Where she currently finds herself enticed by the offers of an linnen clad lady.
Feel free to shoot me any thoughts or questions you have about anything and I shall do my best to answer. Jhaelwyns stats and more elaborate backstory can be found under this alias. She is currently lacking in gear (she has no clothes nor food - poor spider-woman abomination!) and her familiar is also in dire need of a statblock - otherwise things should be close to finished.
Thank you for your time! //Lessah & Jhaelwyn

*shrug*
Way that this game is we ought to be fine. Remnants schedule make it so posts will likely have multiple day gaps between them so everyone will be able to post reactions at least.
Oh and I dont have time to write a response just right now but worry not Sanriel will respond in gameplay soon enough illia.

Lessah |

...
Nice to see you my chitinous friend! You'll be quite pleased to head that I too joined the ranks of the insectlike-but-not-quite-insect team.
I also apologize for my little over-inflated introduction which apparently was so long that when I tried to quote you, your stuff got squished into three little dots!

Indeed - I hope it works. If not, I understand that the simple rule of "last in first out" might be applied. And since I hardly think I still can claim precedence after so long, that will mean that I shall bow out if our numbers get too overwhelming.
On a separate note, I am glad to see that Sanriel is still (un)living!

Lessah |

@Illia- I'm not sure if that was directed at me or not (most likely not, but perhaps!), but I'd like to take the chance to say "hi!". Hi!
@The-one-that-was-formerly-known-as-an-insectlike-but-not-quite-insect-crea ture - Don't worry, as soon as Jhaelwyn gets her equipment back, we can fix that if you want! *Jhaelwyn grins and sharpens her set of large knives*
But it is good to see/read you too!
