Physical Description and Personality:

Lydia is a pale, red-haired half-elf of average height. Numerous worry lines can be seen around her green eyes. She is fairly muscular, her strength enhanced further by her magical belt. She wears a hooded cloak over a mithral breastplate, and an elven curve blade and longbow are strapped to her belt. A starknife hangs from her belt, and she wears a holy symbol of Desna.

She is a fairly serious woman devoted to the tasks she undertakes. Only when she knows somebody very well does she open up, revealing her softer side. She is caring and compassionate to those less fortunate and always goes out of her way to assist the downtrodden and try to liberate those oppressed by tyranny.

Character Background:
Lydia Dalton grew up in a small town in Nidal, along with her brother, Mikael. Her parents were devout followers of Desna who secretly fought against the oppression of the Umbral Court. Unfortunately, their identities were eventually discovered and shadowy assassins attacked the family home. Lydia's parents were killed and her brother captured, but she managed to slip away and eventually fled the country completely.

She made her way into Varisia, where fellow Desnans took her in and sheltered her from harm. Lydia knew that she would one day return to Nidal to try to free her brother and fight against the Shadow Court's vile schemes. She honed her skills as an inquisitor, assisting the Bellflower Network in liberating numerous halfling slaves from Cheliax smuggled aboard ships bound from Westcrown and Kintargo to Korvosa. Her valiant efforts earned her the moniker "Lydia the Liberator," along with a price on her head and the enmity of the Thrice-Damned House of Thrune. Perhaps some of Desna's own luck was on her side, though, as she constantly managed to avoid capture by Chelish authorities and bounty hunters alike.
