I'll be off for 2-3 days without internet access.
Viktor will follow along with whatever plan or destination the majority of the group decides on, as long as it is not actively harmful to him. Feel free to insert smug comments made to further enhance his inflated sense of self-worth and superiority.
When 'on the road' both he and his companion will use their hats of disguise to appear mundane.
Cheers : )

I would imagine that the group at large will still have some posturing and chest puffing to do first. Need to figure out who is going to do what once we hit the prime.
Who knows though, perhaps we shall have another lightning bolt of post responses and suddenly be 12 paces ahead.
Sanriel |
*chuckle* well I can say that Sanreil pretty much hates everyone in the room right now but he is far to professional to let that show.
I mean really druid in a room inhabited by nothing but abominations, outsiders and undead?
Yes this does indeed mean the druid hates himself.
The mans rather conflicted with the whole forcible undead transformation for great justice thing.

I really wish Summoners got more than two skill points per level, though. I might dip rogue when we level up, just for the skills.
They do - Eidolons ^^
But syntesists doesn't get to play with that. But you do have the Skilled evolution that's good for 8 skill-points!
In other words - I'm back!

Side note my LG phone does not have a [ or ] that I could find in the keypad. That said
Viktor Esperkrantz |
The standard Android keyboard has several hidden symbols - you access them by holding down one of the 'normal' symbols.
For example, holding down "(" for a short while gives you the option to type [, { or <.
Y gives ÿ, ü and ý ect. : )

Hurrah, we can begin plotting to placement of knives for each other even faster when our gm has a phone.

Hrmmm...
So I'm looking at the Siabrae template and i see how strictly inferior their rejuvenation method is outside of the worldwound.
DC20 fort save to survive death, the check is ignored on "Blighted" or "Diseased" terrain.
Guess I'm going to need to figure out a way to get the evil version of the flowering step that just spawns waves of toadstools at the snap of my fingers. Well that or figuring a way to get a +19 fort save.

at least you get a check... And you use charisma on fort saves as an undead

Even a shot at not dying is a decent perk. I do agree however that we vampires have it a bit easier (Bag of Holding /w Coffin as Zorryin said!). Really dying as an Undead sucks ...
But atleast you are not an outsider ; )
Sanriel |
An undead outsider druid. Man what a little ball of self hatred that would be.
Vamps are Legacy critters, like dragons and the Remorhaz along with others. The get an automatic pass regardless of the powers they have due to having been in the game for so long.
I will say PF did a good job in bringing the dragons back to a closer point of the actual CR they are. Though they did nothing about the Remorhaz. Scary bastard that one.
As to the parasols. Pretty sure that there is a spell for sun protection now. Protective Penumbra I think, L2-3ish. Getting it on an item would cost a pretty penny but would likely be very much worth it.
EDIT:
Also, hiding inside of a gaseous form affected bag of holding seems like an incredibly bad idea unless you enjoy waking up on the ethereal plane.
Viktor Esperkrantz |
Yeah - here it is. Very nice until someone swings a dispel magic at you : )
Ordinary Darkness also *might* block the sunlight. It does for creature with sensitivity and powerlessness atleast - so our drow vampire might get another out
Edit: Which is why the cunning vampire employs companions that can fetch his sorry behinds back from the Ethereal Plane. Also - no sun there ^^
Sanriel |
If you desire to annoy the party a Bottle of endless smoke with a Goz mask could likely provide all your sun concealing needs.
Can't dispel a magic item you can't see and wind magic is used infrequently enough that preparing a counter to such a thing would not be that hard.
Viktor Esperkrantz |
One can also ask the neighbourhood friendly druid for some overcast *puppy eyes*
Only direct sunlight is dangerous
Sanriel |
Once we get to above ground portions Sanreil will see what he can do to bend nature like a kitten with a ball of string.
Hrmmm.... that. that is actually a rather horrifying idea that just spawned from this.
I had this mental image of a wizard chasing a vampire with a ring gate, one in his hand and the other in orbit around the sun.
But then if one wants to murder a vampire why not just go for the whole hog?
I wonder how much a set of fire immune Ring Gates would cost. with no restriction on distance one could make the worlds most expensive flame thrower by say placing a ring on the mantle of the sun and activating the other one.
I wonder what 100 pounds of plasma would equate to in damage for DnD.
Ckkxxchtki |
...everyone can be civil except to me....
Viktor Esperkrantz |
The Ring Gates sadly are very limited in their amount of matter transfer, so even the sparse gases of the sun will shut it down quickly.
Lava might be a good indicator of damage ?
Otherwise, an (real) Gate to the depths of the Plane of Fire (molten seas and all that)? Why settle for little ^^
Death_Keeper |
Slight nitpick.... it would be /a/ (real) Gate... not an real gate ;P
Anyway, I've been thinking, should I get the magical item slots just like everyone else, but instead I get them as 'personal enchantments' that I spend my starting gold on? or do I have to 'equip' them so I can be a little wasp/spider in a fancy bowler hat?
Sanriel |
Well the big deal about plasma would be the raw mass of energized particles it could output. Sure it would only work once a day as the mass of the sun followed the path provided but it would annihilate whatever it was pointed at.
Lava and liquid fire would both be significantly more dense for the output, lowering the effective range.
Though I suppose to even get it there would require interplanetary teleport so I would be better served opening an actual gate to where I want to go. *shrug* An amusing thought though.
@Ckkxxchtki Yep, congratulations you are now the party scapegoat. Though we shall see what happens on your end, water monsters in underground caves tend to be one of two things and one of them will make you its slavering brain slave at a snap of its tentacles.
I'm intrigued by Ckkxxchtki in a bowler hat. Could be rather amusing.
Ckkxxchtki |
This host is most definitely dead after I leave... I basically reorganized its organs so that I was a heart and brain... Slowly starving the original brain... And when I leave... Massive bleeding...... Basically it looks like I got killed, :p
Sanriel |
I pity the foes we encounter who don't fall on their knees and beg for mercy. Between vampires, were-beasts, and aberrations I think we have all the classic story bad endings covered.
Viktor Esperkrantz |
Wow my coffin is also ornate and darkwood... and i definately didnt look at your items. Haha.
Classy minds think alike, it seems :P
