The Goblins Three strike up a trembly war song that does little to bolster the courage of their heroes, the Lusty Fools....

It sounds more like a weepy and mournful dirge to lament impending doom than a call to heroic action....

Sung in a high-pitched, shaky squeak: Some time heroes better off if heroes run away.... Tuck them tails between them legs and live another day.... Dragon come and dragon go, burning as him please.... Bringing all of Christendom to fall upon them knees.... Heroes maybe better off if heroes hit and run.... Dragon breath burn people flesh like ten bajillion sun.... Hide and snipe and hide again, that the goblin way!.... That why goblin sometime live to fight another day!

Conflagratius notices that the Cathedral below looks a little too intact....almost defiant....amid the surrounding wreck and ruin....

Hovering over the bell tower, the great wyrm lashes at it with its massive tail, hammering at the ancient stone until the bells within vibrate a mournful harmony!

Within the cathedral, loosened chunks of mortar and roof slates topple down inside the belfry.... The dragon's hammering blows threaten to shake loose the bells from their moorings!


Pater Dominico moves next to Alphonse, touches the holy knight on his shoulder, and incants a prayer, granting him protection from fire (108 points)....

Ethereal and very very unhappy at the sound of the paladin's incredibly challenge loud enough to sound outside the cathedral, Hisao begins to climb up the side of the building the beast is attacking.

Spider climb and Fast Stealth should mean that Hisao makes good time. Unless ethereal means Hisao is completely ghost like. In which case he just floats up.

Attempting to crawl like a spider up the ghostly bell tower, Hisao elevates freely, drifting upward without effort....

Following Alphonse up the shuddering stone spiral stairs inside the belfry, Fredrick finds a gap in the wall that allows sunlight and line of sight of a patch of scarlet scales where the dragon's massive tail has lashed away some of the ancient mortar....

A blast of charged water sizzles through the gap and scorches the dragon's tail!

Just to be sure, the blast didnt seem like it hurt the Dragon if at all correct? As that Blast isn't a Touch attack.

Climbing, climbing, up the stairs.... To face they doom the heroes dares.... Dragon laughs and burns the sky.... Laughing as the heroes die....

Sadly Make an SR ( because they made Kineticist blasts SP instead of SU and so they couldn't be Vital Striked as that would make the feat useful. At least the ranged version. )

Hisao keeps ascending and then when he's right the dragon, mutters a quick prayer and drops his etherealness and stabs multiple times at the dragon right before he drops onto the beast.

To be fair that is sorta how this is supposed to go. How we handle it from this point is the real kicker.

Round Three: Roundagorath

Nacht could see the Dragon stir as it perturbed by something. A small line of blood illuminated in Nacht's sight. So it could bleed? It was a creature of flesh, one that could be slain. The excitement rose and the slight sound of beetle's wings filled the area such that sound the coming of the slayer.

Nacht ascended to the Dragon under its belly and lied in wait.

Swift to Fast healing, Standard Activate Flight, Move up to the Dragon. Nacht ofcourse is not aware this creature has Blindsense nor that it has a high Perception so roll that against his previous Stealth.

I want to use his basic hydrokinces to create 16 gallons of water that will fall into the dragon's mouth of possible. Btw 16 gallons of water weighs 128lbs.

Iommi watches his allies ascend to the top of the belfry and shakes his head in despair....

I fear my firebombs will be of little avail against this Beast.... Strike it with cold-based attacks if any of you have them! I shall look in my bag of tricks and see what, if anything, I can do to help....

He rummages through his backpack with a doubtful expression....

Pater Dominico pulls out a scroll of protection from fire and casts it on Fredrick....

108 points of fire protection to Fredrick....

Goblins Three continue their shaky dirge....

A great cracking sound like a peak of thunder accompanies the dragon's tail slam as the entire roof of the belfry is blasted away, and a hail of mortar falls into the now open bell tower!

Alphonse, Fredrick, Iommi, Pater Dominico, the goblin minstrels, and anyone else still inside the bell tower must make Reflex saves, DC 15, or be struck by falling mortar, taking 3d8 ⇒ (5, 7, 6) = 18 bludgeoning damage....

Alphonse's faith and armor serve him well: the stones either miss him entirely or bounce harmlessly off his armor....

Fredrick nimbly dodges each chunk of stone that falls past him....


Reflex save 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (5) + 11 = 16 succeeds.... The Norseman narrowly dodges the mortar shower....


Reflex save 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18 succeeds.... God protects His faithful servant from the falling debris!


Reflex save 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10.... The goblin piper is struck for 18 bludgeoning!
OOOOOOUUUCH!!!

Reflex save 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10.... The goblin lutist is also struck for 18 bludgeoning!
YYOOOOOWWCH!!!

Reflex save 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17.... The goblin drummer is miraculously unscathed!
HAHAHAHA!!! You guys too slow!!


Round 3 still

Having opened the top of the bell tower to the sky with a blow of its mighty tail, the red wyrm now snakes its massive head into the tower and snaps its jaws down on Alphonse, sinking its sword-like teeth through the aasimar's plate armor and into his flesh!

Bite 1d20 + 35 ⇒ (12) + 35 = 47 strikes for 4d6 + 21 ⇒ (6, 5, 4, 5) + 21 = 41 damage! CRUUUUNNNCH!!!

Fortunately, the Beast uses its claws to grip the outside of the tower to steady itself for biting, and it's wings are too big to effectively strike down through the hole along with its massive head and neck.... Which are now within reach of Foereaper!
