Alphonse looks...less than comfortable having the goblins actually FOLLOW the party at first, but then brightens.

"Yes, it will give us good opportunity to make sure you stay safe and out of trouble." he emphasizes.

Downstairs, two more like her... the short, fat goblin points at the butchered lamia.... And more bugbears, five, I think.... No problem for mighty slayers like you guys!

The goblins proceed to reveal the secret location where Dai Oni has gone to meet with the Antichrist: a cavern on the north slope of Mount Vesuvius....

Tricky part is picking right cave--volcano has lots and lots on all sides.... Cave you want is high up on north side, near top! But he careful--Big Boss Conflagratius lives in volcano, too, along with chimera-men, and devils from Hell!

Not necessarily for Nacht ( He isnt fully aware of the overworld ) but for other people, How far is that... From here?

Nacht seems to take particular interest when the short green-beings mention there would be more sheep-beings. " How long sssssince the leader was gone? "

Here is the distance in hiking hours and kilometers from Turin to Mt Vesuvius.... About 6 day's march at 30 miles per day....

*GULP!* D-Dai Oni gone about....week now?

The goblin recoils in obvious fear and revulsion from The Beetle Man....

Is this the part of the game where we infiltrate the enemy's base and realize how horribly outmatched we are? Because that seems like it'll make a great scene.

LOL! Sounds about right....

Fingers crossed I roll a lucky pair of 20's, just to see if that throws a wrench into your plans though. =p

Anything's possible.... That would actually be pretty epic! LOL

Me think Dai Oni took stolen Body-Stain Shroud to give as gift to Antichrist....

And that route includes a ferry.. and assumes you are constantly moving that fast so... likely alot more as you usually only travel 8-10 hours a day. And we'd be going at Alphonse's speed, which is further reduced in mountains. So no we won be getting there anytime soon.

Nacht relents and stares before fading back into the ether and scouting ahead.

Alphonse the Paladin!

M Human unchained monk 8/paladin 6

The Lusty Fools hear the sound of footfalls on the spiral stairs.... Seconds later, five more bugbears rush up into the upper chamber, followed by two more lamias!

Paddy swiftly dispatches the first bugbear up the stairs with a well-aimed thrust of Greene Thorne! The beast collapses on the top stairs and rolls down, stopped by the legs of the next bugbear in line....

Attempting to slash the throat of the second bugbear up the stairs, Hisao accidentally stumbles over the corpse of the bugbear slain by Paddy, and the bugbear happens to stoop at just the right moment to examine its fallen companion, ducking VenomFang!

Iommi-Tyr keeps as far away from the emerging bugbears and lamias as the confines of the upper chamber allow (about 10 ft) and lobs a firebomb down the stairwell at one of the two lamias....

Firebombs away!!! 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (7) + 12 = 19 touch at nearest lamia hits and ignites her, dealing 5d6 + 9 ⇒ (6, 3, 5, 4, 3) + 9 = 30 fire damage to the lamia, plus 14 splash damage to the adjacent lamia!

The lamia directly struck by Magnusson's firebomb shrieks as flames erupt all over her lion-like hindquarters!

GAAAAAAHHH!!!!

The other lamia is splashed by flaming oil.... Reflex save 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (2) + 9 = 11 vs DC 22 for half fails! She takes 14 fire splash damage.... YEEOOUCH!!

Both lamia dancers push past their bugbear allies and rush at Iommi-Tyr, provoking attacks of opportunity from Paddy and Hisao....

One of the lamias says, Colui che gioca con il fuoco viene bruciato!* and casts suggestion on Iommi-Tyr from 10 ft away, suggesting he stop playing with fire! DC 14 Will save resists....

*

English:
He who plays with fire gets burnt!

The other lamia rushes up to Iommi-Tyr and tries to stab him with a curvy dagger 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (12) + 13 = 25, missing the well-warded Norseman!

Will save vs DC 14 suggestion 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (11) + 20 = 31 succeeds....

Seriously?? Does this spawn of Lilith really think she can control the brilliant mind of Iommi-Tyr, Son of Magnus!? Let's have a bit of fun with this she-beast....

Nacht is up to bat!! EEEK!!
