Looking to Ulmo and the rest of the party she adds "Well, I guess we should prepare some food for the trip and a mount to carry it. When do you want to leave? I want to leave Trunau as soon as possible, the road keeps my thoughts at bay..."

I sent out for adventure and to see the world. I ran in to our stout friends at the festival and that's where we were named Ruby's Champion's. So if you don't mind me asking. Can you tell me about you're tattoos?

Anga gets up and has a quick wash and breakfast. She joins the others, with her gear sorted, and helps them pack.
another day in the glorious life of an adventurer. Ah wonder if this will go like tge last expedition.
In response to haskyll's comment, she says dinae fret, haskyll. Of course there will be a hitch. But at least we'll be expecting it
As they leave the gates of trunau, she casts mage armour on herself.


Day Sixty

The party leaves for the Mindspin Mountains on a mild and sunny morning. Trunau comes out to see their heroes depart, many with tears in their eyes. Some with out right fear and lamenting, "The city is unprotected. We will all die." The few expressing those fears were quickly squelched by the crowd and members of the town guard.

Halgara was waiting at the main gate, "You will be missed. But we know that your quest is for the good of Trunau and everyone. Thank you again."

The first day was calm and pleasant. The party follows the Kestrel River due west out of the lowlands and into the mountains. By late afternoon the party finds a peaceful spot near the first significant waterfall of the Kestrel coming off the Mindspin. The party makes camp.

The night was peaceful and serene.

Day Sixty-One

Umlo consults the geode, "The trail to Steelhand's Tomb begins at Stag's Pike. It is a great peak that lies on the border between Belkzen and Varisia. Near the source of the Kestrel is a trail that will take us toward Stag's Pike."

The party ventures forth. This day too was uneventful. But as the party climbs higher and higher into the Mindspins, the air gets thinner and the temperatures colder. By late afternoon the air temperatures where getting close to freezing. The party camps near a large bubbling spring, known as the Kestrel spring. It is the primary source spring for the Kestrel River, though several other tributaries come to together downstream to make the river. You find a spot where many have camped before.

The party sets watches for the night. Both Ulfgard and Ingrahild note that bears were moving nearby, but left the party alone. Cold weather gear was needed in order to make a restful night's sleep.

Day Sixty-Two

Umlo finds the trail to Stag's Pike. The party begins the slow and arduous climb up one of the Mindspin's taller peaks. The air gets colder still, and the temperature drop below freezing. The trail leads the party into the clouds of the higher elevation. As the party nears the peak, they come across a wide cave mouth. It appears that the trail comes to an end at this point. The front of the party can make out a giant stone throne in the center of the opening. The throne is facing away from the cave's opening. The stench of death whiffs through your nostrils. Ulfgard will note bones of bears, mountain goats, and even giant eagles are scattered around the giant throne.

Ulfgard suddenly hears the sound of massive flapping wings. Visibility is about twenty feet.

I moved the party up. Otherwise, you would not have been able to see the contents of the cave through the fog.

Then at the edge of visibility, you discover what lives here. Flying down from above is a dragon. It speaks, "Thieves perhaps to plunder my home." With an exotic accent, the huge creature says in the common tongue.
