Haskyll Stonereaver |

I be thinking the pint, and then the shop.
This is so we don't lose Omast before we can question him

GM Mazra |

Omast looks at Ulfgard, “I hear you fine!" He takes a hand and grabs the hilt of his Greatsword, but when you say 'late friend', he calms down, "Poor, young Rodrik, that magnificent bastard.” The armored Human begins to sob, “It is all these blasted Half-Orcs running around. They are not worthy Trunauans.”

Haskyll Stonereaver |

Haskyll whispers to Agna
He seemed defensive when Ulfgard mentioned an investigation, I wonder what is up with that.

Ulfgard Strongfist |

"Well whereever we have a problem, there seems to be a halforc at it s core. The missing blacksmith, the chap who send the assassins. It just adds up those pigfaces. OR maybe it is one and the same!"

Anga Runedaughter |

so tell us whut ye know about the investigation. For good ol rodrick

GM Mazra |

Omast will look at Anga, "Investigations. I don't know anything about investigation. I been trying to clean off all these White Swords all over town. It is a sign from Rodrik. I know it is." He makes this last emphatic statement, drinks his Stout to the last drop, then passes out on the Ramblehouse table.

Haskyll Stonereaver |

Me thinks the solution to this is dipping him in the trough.
Haskyll grins at the others.
Anyone else up for a dwarven sobering party.
As he bares his arms and looks at the others,
There be a trough just out there.

Haskyll Stonereaver |

Did we hear enough from him, or are we going to have to wake him ?
Haskyll continues to grin.
Ah humans, not able to handle the good stout

Anga Runedaughter |

A one pot sleeper. Well, We are not going to get much from him in this condition. Ah wonder if public drunkenness is a crime here? How about we takr this one to somewhere he can sleep it off, and then decide what to do.

Haskyll Stonereaver |

well, we are in a good spot for him to sleep it off. Lady cham, can we drop him in a room until he wakes up

GM Mazra |

Cham looks at Haskyll, "You can have Omast sleep it off in one of your rooms."
Omast really doesn't advance the investigation too much. But the party needed to get to know him. As the party lets Omast sleep it off, you head on to the Plaguehouse that evening. Go ahead with any purchases at local stores or at the Barterstones. All regular item purchases are Book Value + 50%. Trunau is a frontier town. Prices are inflated here.
The Plaguehouse is just outside of town (6 on the South side of the Trunau Town map). When the party arrives and surveys its exterior, they will find four ways to possibly enter.
Note the four arrows on the Plaguehouse map. As a reminder, since this map is a larger size, the tokens are smaller, so just use the zoom features in Google Drawing to see the action better.
You can enter through the front double doors (E9). There is a collapsed wall that could provide access (around G6). There is an open wall and the back back door area (P7). And finally there is a hole that appears to open up into a lower level (between M5 and P5).
Which way do you go?

Haskyll Stonereaver |

Only thing that I would like to pick up right now, is a grapple hook and a morning star. +50% is 13 gold 5 silver.
Looking at Kaos pointing in the direction of the collapsed wall.
You got a problem with front doors Haskyll jokes.

GM Mazra |

Moving on.
Most of this room is in shambles, and the western wall has collapsed in a heap of rubble. A staircase to the northeast leads to a wooden loft upstairs; the area beneath the loft is filled with fallen beams, jumbled bricks, and other debris.
Surprise Round
As Kaos approaches the collapsed area, hiding under the mass of jumbled bricks and debris is a Giant Centipede. It strikes (#2) the big human. Two others (#1 and #3) scurry toward Kaos.
The wall between Kaos and the Centipedes is actually the loft area above. So, ignore the wall during this encounter.
Centipede #2 bite: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 191d6 - 1 ⇒ (6) - 1 = 5
Kaos takes 5 points of damage and must make a DC 13 Fort Save. (Bite—injury; save Fort DC 13; frequency 1/round for 6 rounds; effect 1d3 Dex damage; cure 1 save.)
Kaos’ Initiative: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21
Anga’s Initiative: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Ulfgard’s Initiative: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
Haskyll’s Initiative: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (9) + 0 = 9
Ragnir’s Initiative: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (19) + 0 = 19
Giant Centipede’s Initiative: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
Round One
Kaos goes first in the Round, then Ragnir, Haskyll, Ulfgard, Anga and the Centipedes last.

Haskyll Stonereaver |

I will take number 2 in the order of march.
Torag help this servant.
As Haskyll stretches his hand out pointing at one of the centipedes that are closing with Kaos and letting a small dart head out.

Surprise Round and Round One recap
Kaos is struck by a Giant Centipede, its poison coursing through his veins.
Kaos will in turn split the bug in two with his giant sized axe, killing the pest that just a moment earlier poisoned him.
Ragnir moves up and misses his attack on one of the bugs.
Haskyll's dart of acid goes wide of its mark.
Ulfgard will move up and attack the nearest Giant Centipede, but will not make contact with the insect.
Anga cast Mage Armor on herself.
The Giant Centipede to Kaos' left moves up about 5 feet and attacks the big Human, but misses with its mandibles.
Centipede #1 Bite: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 131d6 - 1 ⇒ (3) - 1 = 2
The Giant Centipede to Kaos' right turns its attention toward Ulfgard and attempt to bite the Ranger. As it turns out, it was nothing but an attempt.
Centipede #3 Bite: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 111d6 - 1 ⇒ (5) - 1 = 4
Round Two
Kaos will need to make another Fort Save.
If you don't indicate which monster you are attacking or what square you moved into to attack, then I will just pick something closest for your PC.

Haskyll Stonereaver |

Round 2
Seeing as his dart missed, Haskyll moves up slightly behind Kaos.
Torag guard this servant
Resistant touch, Kaos has a +1 on his saves for 10 rounds.
He then readies his spear to attack anything that starts to get close to him.

GM Mazra |

Round Two
As the poison continues to wreck Kaos' nervous system, he steps back and takes an antitoxin.
Ragnir swings again, this time striking down the bug. The Giant Centipede stops moving.
Haskyll gives Kaos a little extra touch of resistance.
Ulfgard, seeing the bug in front of him fall to Ragnir's axe, moves up to the last remaining Centipede, and with a mighty blow kills the last of the bugs.
Anga holds back her Acid Splash.
Victory.
Kaos, with the aid of both the antitoxin and Haskyll's Resistance, prevents further damage from the Centipede's poison.
Level Two
You can either raise here or head back to the Ramblehouse, and venture again tomorrow. If you raise now, Anga would not be able to add to her spellbook. But most everything else you can add to your character. Roll your additional HPs in the Discussion thread. If you roll a "1", you get a reroll. If you roll a "1" again, then it is fate. Mazel Tov.

Haskyll Stonereaver |

On the way back to the Ramblehouse.
If you will pardon me, I would like to make a quick stop at the store, I will meet you back at the ramblehouse
In the store, I will pick up general artisian tools. 7 gp, 5 sp with the +50%
He then goes back to the ramblehouse
Back at the Ramblehouse
During dinner.
Well, not a good start, we went looking for a troll and ran into bugs.
But there is always the morning to look at the plaguehouse again.
After dinner, Haskyll heads up to to his room to inquire with Torag as to what more he can do.
