Whether or not Kilarra resorts to that depends entirely on if Makori was told where Rix is.

If she knows already, Kilarra won't escalate further.

If she doesn't know, Kilarra would. She's not letting a potential spy get at their only 'reliable' contact in the city. That's stupid.

But Kilarra's also outvoted and we're a group, so I understand if you don't allow her to and move on as if I don't start a brawl.

That would at least tell us if she's after the pay, like she says (which I doubt), or just wants to tag along with us (Kilarra considers this more likely).

As far as I know, you haven't specifically told her about the warehouse you're going to, you would have just informed her it was in the Medina and the general area. But when you leave the Shadow Stalkers behind, you're only a few minutes' walk away from the warehouse, so keep that in mind.

As a player I find Makori to be deeply suspicious. At best she's an ex red mantis or at least a serious player in the underworld. At worst she's everything Kilarra fears.

Talivar however is oblivious and reckons Kilarra is coming on a bit strong... Hm what to do? I need to think :)

I'm going to say no, at least not with the precision you're looking for. And it could always shift location within those 5 ft during its turn. Also, detect magic requires three rounds to get maximum info, so I'm not sure one round would give you enough precise information even if it did eventually reveal its precise location. The wording of the spell doesn't support one round being enough either - it's a cone-shaped emanation and it's not till the third round of casting it that you learn 'the strength and location of each aura.'

Either the ring or the boots would be great -- being a frontliner, more AC is always useful. I also plan to be very mobile, so the boots are also very desirable. However, if we've got someone slowed down by armor, we might want to give the boots to that person so they don't slow us down.

I just thought of this: we have enough money for a bag of holding of varying degrees of capacity. Why not pick up one of those, and have something that will be useful going forward, rather than a 50 go cart that we'll have to ditch? (And it solves the problem of getting the body inside the inn, as Vorya pointed out.)
