Does Kilarra have any knowledge about the magical properties of a red mantis helmet? She's not trained in arcana, but she used to own one, and Bastien might have told her. Just curious if she knows that you can make them detect invisibility for a while. Thanks!

Kilarra would know that the helms are magical and enhance the senses in some ways, but she wouldn't know the specifics (like its ability to use See Invisibility for a bit) since it doesn't make sense for Bastien to explain those things to her when he was planning to betray her.

If the Mantis are competent then I believe entering as a group of refugees is probably a mistake. No way they will let us in without lots of questions and they'll check what happened at Cuttle and realize not everyone died on the ship.

Sneaking in one way or another seems safer if we can pull it off because we really don't want to draw attention to ourselves.

I think it's one of those things that'll just take a bit of trial and error. I probably should have given y'all an extra day to discuss it, but I also didn't want things to stall out.

It's definitely a tough situation considering the possible implications should something go wrong. There should definitely be a debate if you want one. Nothing wrong with that. Perhaps just a bit more decisiveness (which I know isn't that easy considering all the factors involved).

Situations like this are also potentially good opportunities to discuss things ooc. Due to the nature of situations like this, they may also call for a bit more frequent (albeit shorter) posts. That's one of the things I was personally trying to do with in-character questions that came up the last few days to hopefully avoid things stalling out from not getting an answer sooner.

I know some of you likely have more experience in matters such as this, so feel free to chime in with suggestions. I think Kilarra was the one who mentioned it, but there wasn't ever going to be an unanimous decision, I think, so you ultimately just have to go with the option that the most people will be okay with. Whether that was the case or not in this situation is certainly something else we could discuss.
