I'm itching to play a kineticist, so please consider me interested.

Stat: 4d6 ⇒ (6, 3, 5, 1) = 15-1 = 14
Stat: 4d6 ⇒ (1, 6, 3, 1) = 11-1 = 10
Stat: 4d6 ⇒ (2, 2, 1, 1) = 6-1 = 5
Stat: 4d6 ⇒ (4, 1, 4, 6) = 15-1 = 14
Stat: 4d6 ⇒ (1, 6, 4, 1) = 12-1 = 11
Stat: 4d6 ⇒ (1, 5, 4, 3) = 13-1 = 12

That 5 worries me! I'll reroll:

Stat: 4d6 ⇒ (4, 4, 3, 2) = 13-2 = 11
Stat: 4d6 ⇒ (5, 6, 6, 1) = 18-1 = 17
Stat: 4d6 ⇒ (2, 1, 2, 3) = 8-1 = 7
Stat: 4d6 ⇒ (6, 2, 1, 5) = 14-1 = 13
Stat: 4d6 ⇒ (5, 1, 5, 4) = 15-1 = 14
Stat: 4d6 ⇒ (6, 6, 6, 5) = 23-5 = 18

Much better!

Feats & Traits:
Feats
1st: Improved Initiative
Bonus (Human): Skill Focus (Sense Motive)

Traits
Reactionary (You've become adept at anticipating sudden attacks. You gain a +2 trait bonus to Initiative.)
Malevolent Temptations (You escaped the temptations of a disguised hag, and you learned much from the encounter. You gain a +1 bonus on Sense Motive checks, and you have a +2 trait bonus on saves to disbelieve illusions.)

Appearance:
The pale, gray eyes are the first thing you notice about Leyten Krovt. He has short, wavy blonde hair and a ruddy, weathered complexion, with a noticeable scar across his right cheek and upper lip. As a result, Leyten often seems to have a look of distaste. Truth be told, however, the scar probably doesn't make a difference.

A tattoo of a black-haired woman with snakelike skin adorns the right side of his neck. He wears a silk black shirt and black trousers, along with a gray-and-red studded leather vest. His left hand has a gold ring with a tiger-eye gem.

Personality:
Leyten Krovt is pithy, choosing to speak briefly yet forcefully, and he appreciates people who do the same. While he may come across as unsociable, he actually prefers the company of others. Being alone for too long causes his mind to wander down unpleasant corridors. He's an occasionally fatalistic yet always curious explorer.

Background:
Leyten Krovt had made a successful living as a guide to artifact hunters and other people who risked exploring within Ustalav. One year ago, while relaxing at a riverfront inn with his wife, Jenna, he met a beautiful woman named Silviana. He quickly became infatuated with this enchanting woman. The following night, he angrily left his shocked wife and went to Silviana's cottage in the woods. He and Silviana were soon locked in passion for hours. After he renounced his love for Jenna, Silviana revealed herself to be a green hag! She intended to keep him locked up with the bodies of her previous lovers, as a prelude to some occult ritual. Leyten - in a burst of desperation - was able to get past her and out the door, but not before she had raked her claws across his face and thrown a hex at him.

Bleeding, mostly naked, and thoroughly ashamed, Leyten could not bear the thought of returning home, especially since the hag would likely strike at Jenna if he did so. He gathering what belongings he could from the inn and left the area.

That next night, Leyten dreamt feverishly of Silviana's seductive form and horrific nature. When he awoke, he felt ill, but he knew he'd survived the brunt of her hex - or had he? He soon discovered that he had strange, new abilities, including control of negative energy. Much more disturbingly, though, there was a new tattoo on his neck: a beautiful, black-haired woman with snakelike skin.

He doesn't know what it means, but he's convinced he'll meet that woman one day. And when he does, it'll be the end of his life.

4d6 ⇒ (6, 1, 4, 2) = 13 - 12
4d6 ⇒ (3, 6, 3, 2) = 14 - 12
4d6 ⇒ (1, 3, 1, 4) = 9 - 8
4d6 ⇒ (5, 2, 4, 5) = 16 - 14
4d6 ⇒ (4, 1, 6, 1) = 12 - 11
4d6 ⇒ (1, 6, 4, 4) = 15 - 14

Nothing exciting there, might as well risk a re-roll.

4d6 ⇒ (1, 2, 6, 5) = 14 - 13
4d6 ⇒ (2, 5, 5, 6) = 18 - 16

4d6 ⇒ (1, 4, 4, 1) = 10 - 9
4d6 ⇒ (6, 3, 1, 5) = 15 - 14

Much better.

SPECIAL ABILITIES

Judgment

Starting at 1st level, an inquisitor can pronounce judgment upon her foes as a swift action. Starting when the judgment is made, the inquisitor receives a bonus or special ability based on the type of judgment made.

At 1st level, an inquisitor can use this ability once per day. At 4th level and every three levels thereafter, the inquisitor can use this ability one additional time per day. Once activated, this ability lasts until the combat ends, at which point all of the bonuses immediately end. The inquisitor must participate in the combat to gain these bonuses. If she is frightened, panicked, paralyzed, stunned, unconscious, or otherwise prevented from participating in the combat, the ability does not end, but the bonuses do not resume until she can participate in the combat again.

When the inquisitor uses this ability, she must select one type of judgment to make. As a swift action, she can change this judgment to another type. If the inquisitor is evil, she receives profane bonuses instead of sacred, as appropriate. Neutral inquisitors must select profane or sacred bonuses. Once made, this choice cannot be changed.

Destruction: The inquisitor is filled with divine wrath, gaining a +1 sacred bonus on all weapon damage rolls. This bonus increases by +1 for every three inquisitor levels she possesses.

Healing: The inquisitor is surrounded by a healing light, gaining fast healing 1. This causes the inquisitor to heal 1 point of damage each round as long as the inquisitor is alive and the judgment lasts. The amount of healing increases by 1 point for every three inquisitor levels she possesses.

Justice: This judgment spurs the inquisitor to seek justice, granting a +1 sacred bonus on all attack rolls. This bonus increases by +1 for every five inquisitor levels she possesses. At 10th level, this bonus is doubled on all attack rolls made to confirm critical hits.

Piercing: This judgment gives the inquisitor great focus and makes her spells more potent. This benefit grants a +1 sacred bonus on concentration checks and caster level checks made to overcome a target’s spell resistance. This bonus increases by +1 for every three inquisitor levels she possesses.

Protection: The inquisitor is surrounded by a protective aura, granting a +1 sacred bonus to Armor Class. This bonus increases by +1 for every five inquisitor levels she possesses. At 10th level, this bonus is doubled against attack rolls made to confirm critical hits against the inquisitor.

Purity: The inquisitor is protected from the vile taint of her foes, gaining a +1 sacred bonus on all saving throws. This bonus increases by +1 for every five inquisitor levels she possesses. At 10th level, the bonus is doubled against curses, diseases, and poisons.

Resiliency: This judgment makes the inquisitor resistant to harm, granting DR 1/magic. This DR increases by 1 for every five levels she possesses. At 10th level, this DR changes from magic to an alignment (chaotic, evil, good, or lawful) that is opposite the inquisitor’s. If she is neutral, the inquisitor does not receive this increase.

Resistance: The inquisitor is shielded by a flickering aura, gaining 2 points of energy resistance against one energy type (acid, cold, electricity, fire, or sonic) chosen when the judgment is declared. The protection increases by 2 for every three inquisitor levels she possesses.

Smiting: This judgment bathes the inquisitor’s weapons in a divine light. The inquisitor’s weapons count as magic for the purposes of bypassing damage reduction. At 6th level, the inquisitor’s weapons also count as one alignment type (chaotic, evil, good, or lawful) for the purpose of bypassing damage reduction. The type selected must match one of the inquisitor’s alignments. If the inquisitor is neutral, she does not receive this bonus. At 10th level, the inquisitor’s weapons also count as adamantine for the purpose of overcoming damage reduction (but not for reducing hardness).

Tactics Subdomain, Seize the Initiative (Su): Whenever you and your allies roll for initiative, you can grant one ally within 30 feet the ability to roll twice and take either result. This decision is made before results are revealed. You can use this ability a number of times per day equal to 3 + your Wisdom modifier.

Stern GazeInquisitors are skilled at sensing deception and intimidating their foes. An inquisitor receives a morale bonus on all Intimidate and Sense Motive checks equal to 1/2 her inquisitor level (minimum +1).

Was meaning to post a whole section on the city today but my computer I was typing it on died (ie work computer). I will have to retype it tomorrow. Still moving into a new place at the moment and have yet to set up my PC yet. I apologize for this set back ;)

The characters are all looking great as well.

These things happen sometimes.

Stats: 4d6 ⇒ (6, 4, 3, 5) = 18 = 15
Stats: 4d6 ⇒ (1, 4, 5, 4) = 14 = 13
Stats: 4d6 ⇒ (1, 6, 3, 3) = 13 = 12
Stats: 4d6 ⇒ (5, 3, 3, 4) = 15 = 12
Stats: 4d6 ⇒ (3, 2, 3, 1) = 9 = 8
Stats: 4d6 ⇒ (6, 1, 2, 2) = 11 = 10

Selim Cordray has arrived for your review.

Updates to the Campaign information have happened and more to come currently, working on getting some decent area maps completed.

Attempting the re-roll...

Stats: 4d6 ⇒ (6, 2, 1, 4) = 13 = 12
Stats: 4d6 ⇒ (2, 6, 6, 5) = 19 = 17
Stats: 4d6 ⇒ (6, 1, 6, 6) = 19 = 18
Stats: 4d6 ⇒ (4, 3, 3, 4) = 14 = 11
Stats: 4d6 ⇒ (3, 2, 1, 2) = 8 = 7
Stats: 4d6 ⇒ (6, 2, 5, 4) = 17 = 15

Well, that's a bit more extreme...

Curious since I didn't see it on your profile. Were you making a warpriest?

For your approval, DM, here's the full profile for the kineticist I rolled up earlier: Quentin Kroft.

This will be Helikon´s submission, an elven blade dancer.
Still working on her backstory.

Yep...sorry I missed that.

Hmmmmm... Kitsune Shifter... not the most, ah, "optimal" of builds, perhaps, but I have an idea forming in my mind...

Okay, I've built my Kitsune Shifter, Faolan. Have a look and see if anything seems amiss.

Like the idea of a kitsune character. Even though I have never had a pc play one. Very shifting focused. Always like to see which aspects people choose down the road.

I have played... more than a few kitsune. :) They're quite fun!

Always gotta see what I get for rolled stats.

Let's roll:

4d6 - 1 ⇒ (5, 1, 5, 5) - 1 = 15
4d6 - 2 ⇒ (2, 4, 5, 6) - 2 = 15
4d6 - 3 ⇒ (3, 4, 6, 3) - 3 = 13
4d6 - 3 ⇒ (5, 6, 6, 3) - 3 = 17
4d6 - 1 ⇒ (2, 1, 1, 6) - 1 = 9
4d6 - 3 ⇒ (3, 3, 5, 5) - 3 = 13

Not bad.... but I feel lucky. Let's see if we can do better:

4d6 - 4 ⇒ (6, 4, 5, 6) - 4 = 17
4d6 - 1 ⇒ (3, 3, 3, 1) - 1 = 9
4d6 - 4 ⇒ (4, 5, 5, 6) - 4 = 16
4d6 - 1 ⇒ (1, 6, 6, 2) - 1 = 14
4d6 - 2 ⇒ (2, 6, 6, 6) - 2 = 18
4d6 - 2 ⇒ (5, 2, 4, 6) - 2 = 15

Nice! Definitely workable. Let's see what I can do with that.

Let's see what happens... I'll submit something if a character concept strikes...

4d6 ⇒ (3, 1, 3, 4) = 11=10
4d6 ⇒ (3, 4, 4, 2) = 13=11
4d6 ⇒ (3, 6, 2, 4) = 15=13
4d6 ⇒ (1, 4, 6, 5) = 16=15
4d6 ⇒ (2, 5, 6, 3) = 16=14
4d6 ⇒ (4, 3, 6, 4) = 17=14

Hmm decent but it doesn't call out anything interesting to me.

4d6 ⇒ (2, 1, 5, 4) = 12=11
4d6 ⇒ (4, 6, 6, 6) = 22=18
4d6 ⇒ (4, 1, 5, 1) = 11=10
4d6 ⇒ (2, 3, 4, 5) = 14=12
4d6 ⇒ (4, 3, 6, 6) = 19=16
4d6 ⇒ (5, 5, 5, 1) = 16=15

Ah hello there mr rogue... that could be interesting... I'll see if I come up with anything in time.

Hedran now has an alias, Background and Personality ;)

I'm gutted, halfway through building a character I really liked and after really getting myself into the background, and eith amazing rolls, i find myself cursing technology and as a result the timing constraints of being a parent!
With my laptop not working (damn Microsoft updates!) And now my phone having died, i find myself using an old phone that barely works and is really slow. Basically I have to drop out as i definitely won't be ready by tomorrow.
Good luxk everyone, have a great adventure, it looks like it is going to be a great ride!

Too bad to hear. I understand the life and computer issues. Either way will be open until EOD tomorrow. Will look into making a list later so that I can have a list of completed applications to ponder over and to ensure I didn't miss anyone.

  1. Edeldur - Hedran - Half-Orc Magus
  2. Almonihah - Faolan - Kitsun Shifter
  3. Thewanderer123 - Selim - Aasimar Warpriest
  4. Helikon - Celebrindal - Elf Magus (Kensai / Blackblade)
  5. Ken Hart - Quentin Kroft - Human Keneticist (Chaokinetiscist)
  6. Patrick Bailey - Brandon Thalmos - Human Brawler
  7. Derz - Beltin - Aasimar Inquisitor
  8. Feral - Bjorkus - Minotaur Paladin
  9. Groundhog - Grendar Dwarf Inquisitor
  10. The CHess - Unnamed - Cavalier

If I missed anyone let me know. We have around 25 hours until the end of the recruitment allocated.

Picture of Cerebrindal
Backstory, Appearance and Personality added.

Whoops, let this one slip away from me a bit. Got my backstory, personality, and description all figured out, now I just need to actually post it.

That's a wild lineup! Very psyched. Thanks!

The chosen Characters are from this list:

  • Feral - Bjorkus - Minotaur Paladin
  • Ken Hart - Quentin Kroft - Human Keneticist (Chaokinetiscist)
  • Helikon - Celebrindal - Elf Magus (Kensai / Blackblade)
  • Thewanderer123 - Selim - Aasimar Warpriest
  • Almonihah - Faolan - Kitsun Shifter

Thank you all for your wonderful applications, and I hope to see or hear from you in the future (if I am looking to start a new campaign. Since the hardest part of a campaign can just be actually getting it rolling.

For those selected please stay posted in Discussion thread where we can either make any last minute alterations (either from a roleplaying perspective or if anyone would want to make small changes to their character based on the party.)

Will be challenging since there are no classic spell casters (which should be both fun and interesting.)

Thank you again and good luck with any future applications!

Many thanks for the chance!

Good luck everyone. Have fun, hopefully i won't have tech difficulties next time this rolls around.

Ah drat, Paizo ate my character backstory post earlier and then I forgot to re-post. Ah well, should have gotten it in sooner anyway. DM if you ever need anyone to jump in for the future, PM me.

Have fun everybody!

Nice. Can’t wait to get started

Excellent! Thanks.

Congrats to those selected!!

I knew it would be hard going with another Magus against Celebrindal (great character Helikon ;)), but I am on a quest to play a Magus :D

Enjoy the game everyone, and see you around the boards.

Many thanks. I really appreciate the feedback.
And you had the much better stats!
