ARC this is my final shopping list. I figured OakRun would be the best place to buy a warhorse. And horse gear. I decided to skip the str bonus bow because it is so expensive. My original horse will be a spare and pack animal because Thorvald is attached to it and didn't want to just sell him off.

Guys and gals I am going to Torrington Wyoming today through the 28th. My dad and his friends are in their 70s and 80s and do an annual trip. Well they needed help to do it this year or it wasn't going to happen so I am going to be cooking, driving and herding old timers. Hope I have Verizon coverage there.

Of course it will still be an animal.

Can I use Handle Animal to teach it how to fire a crossbow when in humanoid form? (and to only fire it at the bad guys)

No, despite your familiars intelligence i think that's too far outside the purview of handle animal and probably an unintended use of that spell.
Maybe you could look into the improved familiar feat and see what's available for you next level? Maybe you can find something with hands?
