"It is okay, Voyla. No need to feel bad. We are all friends here and friends help one another. Gold can be replaced but you can't be so no need to feel bad," the sorcerer said to the rogue.
Voyla Sloboda
"Thanks, but I think I will have to rest this one out, unless there is another way to pay."
DM Lil" Eschie
Gabriella answers to Voyla
The fact is, you aren't healthy enough to crawl to a bed all by yourself. You have friends, or at last people caring for you enough to pay for you. Accept this, cherish it, treasure it. You will find a way to pay them back. Fate will see to it. I know it, deep in my bones. Besides, I won't ruin your friends, as I'm able to cast that spell only twice

The acolyte explains what you will have to do, as quickly as possible, and then the woman starts to get her baby
Rahiv and Joza can do an help another Healing check
Joza Fersig
Heal (Aid Another): 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 1 = 20
"Okay so...like this?" Joza asks as the three of them get to work helping with the delivery.
Voyla Sloboda
Voyla let a tear out.
"I thank you very much for this. I will repay you, I swear."
She is at 8 STR
Rahiv
Rahiv looked about and tried to figure out where his hands should go in this situation, he did his best helping with towels and water and the like. He pulls out his kit to see if there is anything useful in it as well for this type of thing.
Heal: 1d20 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 4 + 2 = 7
But Rahiv seems to end up mostly wrapping his own self up in the bandages...this is clearly his first birthing.
DM Lil" Eschie
Two hours later
While Voyla is resting, still feeble after the two spells, Joza and Rahiv are busy...
Joza is way more helpful than Rahiv for the practical side of being an apprentice midwife, but the shaman shows his worth, after the baby is born, by magically healing the mother
Its a baby girl...
The acolyte gives the baby the blessing of Pharasma, and cleans her, wrapping the small human in warm clothes before giving it back to the exhausted mother.
She catches the cat-woman arm
I'm sorry.. what is your name? I'd like to give my first daughter your name, if you don't mind...
Joza Fersig
"Oh! Um...Joza. Joza Fersig of the Fersig Tribe," Joza responds, initially surprised by the request. Then she smiles and adds gently, "I don't mind at all. You honor me with your request."
DM Lil" Eschie
The acolyte thanks the helpers, explaining to Joza that she will have to hold the baby with the mother while he prays for Lil"Joza's soul.
Neither seem endangered, but the first few days for a newborn are sometimes hard, and Pharasma can take back as quickly as she give.Your magic was most welcome, and probably helped tremendoulsy the mother in her time of need. She will need some rest, of course, and this is not the place.
THe blind priestess gives some instructions too to Voyla
You should get to bed, in the inn, if you don't own an house. You'll need a few days rest, before. I can recommend you a lay brother or sister, who could take care of you, help you exercise your limbs, apply ointments on your muscles, if you so do wish. THat would be less costly than magical healing.
@Voyla: you'll get 2 STR points back per day of complete rest, 1 point if you rest only 8 hours. With someone to take care of you, you'll get back double that amount, so 4 STR per day of complete rest, 2 points if you are active
Rahiv
Rahiv bows and leaves Joza to her prayers...he felt that was perhaps not something he should be a part of as it was not his custom and he was not a part of the ceremony.
He steps out and smiles at the Blind priestess and at Voyla too, happy to see her on her feet again even if she is not all that well. "I think I will be able to take it from here, that is of course if the lady is willing...While a midwife I am not, a healer I can at least boast. Though, I will strive to do better so that such poisons do not best me again." he said as his face turned somewhat apologetic towards Voyla.
Joza Fersig
Not really knowing that much about Pharasma or human birthing traditions, Joza isn't inclined to question or argue with the acolyte though she does feel a little awkward trying to jointly hold the baby Joza with her mother. "Right, of course! Whatever needs doing," she nods as the prayers begin to go up.
Voyla Sloboda
Voyla smiles.
"Thank you very much, I am in your debt."
With help, it will be 2 days, and the 3rd she can be active. Completely recovered by the 4th day. Right?
So, how much for the Inn Room?
Any takers for tending Voyla?
Voyla Sloboda
Voyla would be very grateful.
Joza Fersig
Joza can help too if needed; don't have anything in particular I want to do with her on this town visit :)
Davlamin Glimmergaunt
Dav had been listening to the others and had been watching what was going on.
"I'm no healer but I'm sure I can help with something even if it is nothing but fluffing your pillows. And while I do wish to hurry back to exploring the spire I do want all us to be in peak and perfect condition when we venture back down there. And congratulations Joza on helping deliver that baby. An excellent job."
DM Lil" Eschie
Three days after, resting in a warm bed, eating good meals, and being taken care by an healer from the Temple of Silence, assisted by Rahiv and Davlamin, Voyla feels better. The strenght has came back to her limbs, but the inaction was quite boring.
To all: the inn costed you 3 GP total each (bed and meals). Voyla must add the cost of the healer (15 SP, but a bigger donation is welcome). You can buy mundane items if you need, and minor magical potions/scrolls (level 1 spell) at the usual rate
Joza Fersig
During their time in town Joza spends her time alternating between helping care for Voyla, wandering around Fort Inevitable, and checking in on the new baby Joza. Although it's relaxing, she's more than ready to head back to the Spire once Voyla feels well again.
Deducted the cost for the Lesser Restoration and the room at the inn; she'll also pick up some more arrows before we head back.
Voyla Sloboda
Please let Voyla pay the 3 GP for the inn, and an extra 1 GP for the medical care. It's the less she can do. Thanks team!
At the third day Volya, recovered, hugs everybody (lasting a little longer on Warren.
"Thank you all, you are great friends."
Ready to go back to the spire!
Rahiv
Shall buy the bolts he has spent. I think it's 8....to bring him back up to 20. Worst thing for me is keeping track of ammo >.<. I've got to work on that.
Rahiv smiles and gives her a hug back "I only wish I was stronger in my talents that you didn't have to suffer so long. We shall all strive to do better this time round, yes?" he said as eh shouldered his quiver and picked up his crossbow.
His cat hopped off of Voyla's bed where it had frequented for the the three days they had in town. She went and pawed at Joza and sat before her feet instead of coming to Rahiv.
Rahiv proceeded to give her a dirty look and sighed before looking at Joza "Care for a backpack friend? She's shunning me this week it seems. I'm assuming because of my temperament at having failed as the healer." he said shaking his head.
Voyla Sloboda
Voyla blushes.
"I'll try to be more careful. I feel like I always are in getting myself in trouble, and need rescuing."
She pets Rahiv's cat, with a smile.
Joza Fersig
Joza chuckled as she knelt down to offer the cat a friendly head scratch. "So you're saying that she's saying you need to cheer up? Because I think I would agree with her." She glances up at Rahiv. "Failure at times is part of life - if at all possible, you learn from the experience and are better for it in the end. Going forward you're a more capable healer now than you were a few days ago and that's a good thing, I'd say!"
As she pets the cat, something else suddenly occurs to Joza. "You never did say if she has a name or not, did you?"
Rahiv
Rahiv gave a small smile "Perhaps that is her way of saying that. I'm rather terrible at figuring out what she is saying most of the time." he said chuckling.
He looked up at Joza "Tis true, I've never said her name cause she hasn't given me it yet. She's a clever girl and I'm sure she can find some way to commune it just every time I've tried to name her...she tries to see if I taste like fish, fins first." he said blanching a bit towards the end of the tale.

You are coming back to the Emerald Spire, after a few days of rest. The Echo woods are calm this time, the biggest event of the day being two squirrels pursuing each other in the trees.
Finally, after a lengthy trek, you arrive at the clearing of the Spire.
You soon notice, near the entrance of the Spire, four warriors dragging someone toward the first level
You are still at 60 feet from the entrance, and haven't been seen yet.

"They are undead! Skeletons! We must save that man!"
She grabs her bow and arrows.
Joza Fersig
"She's right!" Joza hisses, pointing towards the group of skeletons. "Whoever they are, they don't deserve whatever fate those skeletons have in mind!"
Rather than draw her bow, she instead draws her trident and her mace as she hustles forward.
"Oh no you won't! Let them go!"
Davlamin Glimmergaunt
"Indeed you're right! Those are truly undead, but why are they dragging...oh right! Perform heroics first, and then ask questions! It is best we hurry as quick as possible!"
Dav quickly fired off a magic missile at one of the undead warriors.
